Chapter 215: Chapter 213: You’re really unpredictable

The moment Athena disappeared around the corner, Adrianna’s composure snapped.

She yanked the ridiculous veil from her hair and stomped on it like it had personally insulted her. "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" she screamed, the words echoing off the walls.

She ran her hand through her hair, breathing heavily, clutching the box Athena had left with her.

Her fingers traced the edges, admiring the pristine packaging. The box was screaming Luxury.

She raised a brow, curiosity overtaking her frustration. What could possibly be inside?

With a dramatic flourish, she tore off the wrapping and opened the lid...

The moment the box gave way, a swarm of bees shot out, buzzing furiously. Immediately they got their freedom, they attacked. Adrianna’s scream as the insects latched onto her arms, neck, and face.

She stumbled backward, swatting wildly. "Get off! GET OFF!" Her heels slipped slightly on the floor as she ran in frantic circles, but the bees followed her relentlessly.

Screams echoed through the building as Adrianna bolted inside with bees. The insects scattered around, diving onto unsuspecting partygoers.

People scrambled over each other trying to escape the stingers.

Outside, Athena leaned on the table where her friends say, her lips twitching into a satisfied smirk as she turned to her friends. "We need to leave. Now."

Leo frowned, confused. "Wait...why?"

Athena shook her head, a glint of mischief in her eyes. "No time. Just now."

They all rose, glancing around to see anything unusual but nothing.

Athena quickly made her way to the Phantom Four, and the moment Theo saw her, his lips pulled into a grin which she mirrored.

"Plan successful," she whispered, a triumphant sparkle in her eyes.

Theo nodded. "Time to go."

Eryx, Azrael, and Rhydric exchanged confused looks, their brows knitting. Athena caught their gaze and shrugged lightly. "I’ll explain later. But let’s just get out of here."

No sooner had they started moving than the shouts and frantic buzzing inside the building grew louder. Without hesitation, Athena led the group, weaving through the crowd and out of the party.

They ran until the noise faded behind them, leaving only the cool night air and distant shouts. Finally, they reached a large open field.

Athena collapsed onto the grass, laughing so hard her chest hurt, tears slipping down her cheeks.

Everybody looked at her, confused, even her boyfriend Azrael, except for Theo, who had a wide, amused smile on his face.

Azrael stepped closer, brow furrowed. "Athena... What happened? Why are you on the ground like that?"

Eryx’s arms crossed, jaw tight. "Yeah... care to explain yourself?"

Rhydric just tilted his head, expression unreadable as always, but the faintest twitch at the corner of his lips betrayed his curiosity. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Leo, unable to hide his amusement, leaned forward. "Seriously... what’s going on?"

Athena gasped, still laughing, clutching her stomach. "Oh... you guys have no idea!"

Theo shook his head, still grinning. "She’s laughing because her little plan worked perfectly," He said, voice full of amusement.

Athena wiped a tear from her cheek and sat up slightly, smirking. "Let’s just say... Adrianna got exactly what she deserved."

Azrael’s eyes narrowed, disbelief flashing. "Exactly what she... what do you mean?"

Athena’s grin widened, sharp and wicked. " I mean, I gifted her bees as her birthday gift and with the help of Theo." She said the last part as she winked at Theo and he smiled at her.

Eryx groaned, burying his face in his hands. "Really?"

Azrael looked at her, a mix of awe and exasperation. "You... actually did all that?"

Athena shrugged, laughter still bubbling from her lips. "Why not? Someone had to make sure this night was memorable."

Theo laughed, shaking his head. "Memorable? That’s one way to put it."

Athena lay back on the grass, arms stretched wide, still laughing. "Absolutely unforgettable."

Athena was still catching her breath when Azrael spoke again, his voice low and sharp.

"Okay," he said slowly, sitting down on the grass beside her. "Why? Why would you go that far?"

Eryx nodded once. "Yeah. Why?"

Rhydric crossed his arms, eyes cold. "Start talking."

Athena exhaled, laughter fading into something colder. She pushed herself upright, hugging one knee to her chest. "You really want to know?"

Leo sat on the grass leaning back on his hands, grinning. "Oh, I really do."

Athena let out a small, humorless laugh. "Fine."

She looked at the sky for a second, then back at them. "It started when Adrianna drugged me at a party."

Everywhere went dead silent.

Azrael stiffened. "She did what?"

Athena nodded. "Slipped something into my drink. I didn’t even realize until everything felt... wrong." She paused, then added lightly, "That was the night I ended up making out with Eryx."

Eryx’s jaw clenched instantly. "She set that up?"

Athena met his eyes briefly before looking away. "Yes."

"That bitch," Eryx snarled, the word ripping out of him like a growl.

Athena continued, her voice steady now, like she’d already made peace with the story. "After that, she hacked my phone. Posted that disgusting thing, made it look like I was desperate, shameless. Like I’d planned everything."

Alaric swore under his breath. Even Rhydric’s expression darkened. No wonder he had always hated the shit out of that girl. She’s literally a bitch.

Athena went on. " That bitch literally turned me into a joke in the school and I’m not about to let that go easily."

Azrael stared at her like he was seeing her for the first time. "Why didn’t you tell me?" he asked quietly.

Athena turned to him, her smile soft, but dangerous. "So you could take revenge for me?" She shook her head. "No way. I wanted to make her pay myself."

Theo burst out laughing. "Remind me never to get on your bad side."

Eryx shook his head, disbelief still written all over his face. "She deserved worse."

Rhydric finally spoke, voice calm laced with amusement. "You planned this? You’re really unpredictable."

Athena’s lips curved. "Of course I did."
