Chapter 149: Chapter 147: Everyone is talking about you.

Jianna’s face twisted with explosive rage. Her hand moved to the back of her trousers, took out a gun and...

BANG!!!

Before Oliver could realise what just happened, a bullet already ripped into his leg.

A raw agonizing scream tore from Oliver’s soul. He hit the floor hard, his hands trembling as the pain shot through him. Blood poured out fast, dropping down his thigh.

Jianna watched him... lit up with pleasure.

Her lips curved slowly into a soulless smile. "Oh, Oliver," she purred, her voice soft as she sun the gun lazily around her finger, the barrel still smoking. "Look at you... crying... bleeding..."

She crouched beside him, her face inches from his."...and still so damn gorgeous."

Oliver choked on his own breath, nails digging into the floor as he tried to endure the searing pain.

"You... fucking... monster."

Jianna’s eyes sparkled like she’d just been complimented. "Ohhh, call me that again," she whispered, a dark shiver running through her voice. "God, it sounds so hot coming from you."

He tried dragging himself backward, leaving a long smear of blood across the floorboards, but Jianna followed him with slow, graceful steps, like she was dancing, like none of this mattered.

"You shouldn’t have said that you love her..." she hummed, still swinging the gun like a toy. "You made me jealous..." She giggled.

Oliver’s vision blurred so hard he barely recognized the silhouette hovering over him.

"Why, Jianna...?" he forced out, voice trembling. "Why are you doing this...?"

She blinked once. Then she smiled widely. "Because you said," she leaned closer, breath brushing his cheek, "you’d only love Athena."

Her tone dropped, sharp and venomous.

"And I don’t like sharing." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Oliver spat weakly toward her, hatred burning through the pain. "I’d still choose her over you. Even if you kill me."

The air went still. Jianna’s jaw twitched. Her grip on the gun tightened.

Then out of nowhere, she erupted into laughter. A laugh that didn’t sound human anymore.

"Oh, Oliver... sweetheart..." she gasped between giggles. "You still don’t understand?"

She slid the muzzle of the gun up his chest, almost gentle. "You’re already dying for her. Isn’t that beautiful? Isn’t that... poetic?"

She nudged the gun under his chin, lifting his face.

"You think your devotion scares me? Makes you a hero?"

Her voice softened with twisted warmth. "It just makes me want to cut your heart out, put it in a pretty glass jar, and sleep beside it every night."

He trembled in pain and fear, but he refused to look away. "Jianna... you’re sick."

She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Ughhh. Everyone keeps saying that. So boring."

Then her smile snapped back... bright and sweet

"Now come on, baby. It’s time to sleep."

Before he could blink, the gun’s butt cracked against his skull with a brutal force.

Darkness swallowed him instantly. Oliver collapsed, while Jianna stood over him, chest rising with excited breaths.

She giggled softly, brushing his hair back like he was a sleeping lover. "That’s better..." she whispered. "Much, much better."

THE NEXT DAY

Athena arrived at school in her sportswear. It was sport day today, and she already knew Felicia would be at the edge of going crazy... The way that girl obsessed over Sports and victories was legendary. Athena’s lips pulled into a faint, mischievous smile.

She walked through the corridor, her steps casual, but something in the air immediately felt... off. Students were staring at her in a way she hadn’t expected.

The girls looked at her with pure disgust, lips curling in judgment. Athena had seen those looks before, sure, but this time... it was sharper and crueler.

Then the boys’ gazes caught her attention. Hunger dancing in their eyes. One of them muttered under his breath, "Damn... she looks... untouchable today." Another leaned toward his friend, whispering, "Bet I could make her scream before class even starts."

Athena, completely clueless, kept walking, trying to ignore it, her mind struggling to process the intensity of the stares. Before she could make sense of it, Leo came sprinting toward her, his eyes wide with urgency. Before she could react, he grabbed her hand.

"Athena, come with me!" he said, pulling her forward.

"Leo, wait... what’s going on?!" she asked, caught off guard, stumbling as he dragged her along.

They darted into an empty classroom, and Leo shut the door behind them. Athena blinked, trying to catch her breath, only to see Felicia and Levi standing there, their expressions carefully controlled, but the disappointment behind their eyes was unmistakable. Even when they tried to mask it.

"What’s wrong? Why are you dragging me like that?" Athena asked, panic beginning to flutter in her chest.

Felicia scoffed, crossing her arms, her voice sharp. "Because, Athena... you have a question to answer."

Athena’s brows furrowed. "Excuse me?"

Felicia’s tone cut like a knife. "Athena, have you gotten so reckless... so stupid... that you would make a shameless post about yourself?"

Athena froze. Her mind tried to grasp her words, but shock blurred everything. Why was Felicia talking to her like this?

"Felicia... did I do something wrong?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"Yes, you did!" Felicia snapped, frustration lacing every syllable. "You’ve been reckless, careless, and now you’ve dragged my name into this absolute mess you created!"

Athena’s pulse quickened. "I... I don’t understand. What are you talking about? Felicia, why are you speaking to me in this manner?"

Levi stepped forward, his voice calmer but just as serious. "Athena... it’s the post. The one you put up in the school group."

Athena blinked, her stomach twisting. "Post? I... what post?"

Felicia pinched the bridge of her nose, exasperated. "Don’t play dumb. You know exactly what post I’m talking about. The one where you... exposed yourself shamelessly... on purpose... and now everyone is seeing it. Everyone is talking about you."

Levi exhaled sharply, like he’d been holding the truth in his lungs all morning. He slid a hand into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and tapped the screen with a clenched jaw. Then he stepped toward Athena, his expression tight and conflicted as he held the phone out to her.

"Look." he said.

She took it slowly, cautiously and the moment her eyes landed on the screen, her breath caught. Her knees almost buckled.

It was a picture of her.
