Daughter of oblivion: Claimed by four alpha(s)-Chapter 133 - 131: Athena was kidnapped.
Azrael’s gaze flicked to her, softer but still burning. "Athena," he said, voice lower. "If he’s making you uncomfortable, say it."
Her heartbeat stumbled.
Before she could speak, Eryx angled her chin up with two fingers, making her look at him.
"Tell him no, princess," he murmured. "Go on."
Athena froze. She couldn’t speak at all. What the hell was she supposed to say?
She was still in a battle with herself when Theodore spoke. "Good morning... kitsune."
Theodore’s voice came gently and warm, but beneath it, she could see he was trying to pull her away from her mess. And she was grateful.
Athena turned just enough to see him.
Theo’s hair was damp with sweat, his bare chest glistening from sweat, his blue eyes soft but intense as they locked on hers.
"Kitsune?" Eryx snapped his gaze toward Theo, jealousy flaring. "Since when do you get to call her that?"
Oh no, she shouldn’t be grateful yet.
Theo wiped his hands with a towel, unbothered. "Since she reminds me of one." he rolled his eyes at Eryx.
Athena blinked.
Theo smiled, a slow devastating one.
"Clever. Easily startled. Very cute when she’s flustered. Badass."
Eryx growled under his breath. "Stop flirting with her."
Theo lifted a brow. "Then stop touching her."
Eryx tightened his hold instead, dragging her a fraction closer. "Make me."
Theo’s smile sharpened.
Azrael glared between them, at war with himself.
And through all of it...Rhydric continued cycling silently.
Although, most of his attention was on Athena. Even when he pretended to be focused on his workout.
He was watching her through the fall of his lashes intensely and dangerously in a quiet way that made heat curl low in her stomach.
Eryx noticed the way Rhydric looked at her. His fingers dug into her thigh possessively.
"Quit staring at her, Rhydric," he snapped, almost irritated.
Rhydric’s foot paused mid-cycle. Just slightly.
He lifted his gaze fully, unbothered. "Wasn’t staring at you," he said simply.
Eryx opened his mouth to retort, but Rhydric’s eyes drifted to Athena again.
Slow. Lingering. Hungry in a way that made her breath catch.
Then, with no change in expression, he shifted his gaze away.
As if Eryx wasn’t trying to murder him there.
Eryx on the other hand, leaned to her ear, lips brushing her skin in a way that made her tremble. "Ignore them," he whispered, voice thick. "Look at me."
Athena’s lashes fluttered, but she obeyed. Slowly, her eyes met his. And Eryx smiled like he’d won a war.
The room finally fell quiet.
A thick, simmering silence hung between all four men, Athena sitting stiffly in Eryx’s lap like a startled fawn caught in the middle of a battlefield.
She swallowed once. Then finally she found enough air to speak. "...Eryx."
His grip loosened just slightly at the sound of her voice. "Hmm?"
She looked away, cheeks still pink.
"You should... continue your workout. I didn’t mean to interrupt. I’ll just go home and... and get ready for school."
Azrael stepped closer, wiping sweat off his brow with a towel.
"You don’t need to go," he said calmly.
"I already sent someone to your place. They’ll bring your uniform, bag, everything."
Athena blinked, startled. "Oh... um...thanks."
Eryx’s head snapped toward Azrael. "Why the hell would you do that?"
Azrael simply tilted his head. "Because she needs her things, and you were too busy drooling over her to think."
Eryx’s jaw flexed."I wasn’t drooling..."
Azrael cut him off. "Then stop acting like a dog in heat and maybe people would believe you."
Theo choked back a laugh. Rhydric didn’t even pretend, he snorted quietly while still pedaling.
Eryx stood abruptly, lifting Athena off his lap and setting her gently on her feet.
Then he straightened to his full height, murder in his eyes.
"Say that again," he growled, stepping toward Azrael.
Azrael met him halfway, eyes sharp and cold. "I said what I said."
They were toe to toe. Chest to chest. Moments from tearing each other apart.
Athena’s heart hammered.
She didn’t know who to stop. Didn’t know how to stop them.
Theo, however, was amused. He walked toward her with that infuriatingly calm smile, the one that made it impossible to tell if he was planning to help or cause chaos.
He leaned in slightly. "Want to escape?" he murmured.
Athena blinked. "What?"
Theo didn’t wait for her to understand. He simply grabbed her wrist, gentle but firm, and pulled her with him toward the door.
"Come on," he said quietly, a small smirk on his lips. "Before they remember you’re still here."
Athena stumbled after him.
Behind them, the sound of Eryx and Azrael’s argument rose..."Don’t act like you’re doing her a favor.."
"Don’t act like you own her..."
Rhydric watched them with a blank expression, then shifted his gaze to Athena and Theo slipping out the door.
He blinked slowly.
Then looked back at the two idiots still arguing...And decided he did not care enough to warn them.
He kept pedaling. Even if the world burned down around him...he would care less.
==================
Half a minute later...they realised their beloved is nowhere to be found.
"Where the hell did she go?"
Eryx’s voice cracked through the gym as he spun around, panic slicing through his jealousy.
Azrael’s eyes widened. Like, what the fuck just happen?
Rhydric sighed and finally pointed at the door. "Theo took her."
Eryx froze. "WHAT?!!!!!!!"
He bolted out of the gym, nearly slipping.
"THEO! GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF HER!"
His shout echoed through the hallway.
Rhydric shook his head. Still he couldn’t help the small smile that pulled on his lips.
Azrael muttered under his breath.
Theo... was already halfway down the hall with Athena.
The moment Theo pulled her out of the house gym and through the hallway, Athena felt her lungs finally work again.
The glass doors slid open, and the fresh morning air hit her face, as she got outside the house. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
She exhaled. Then laughed.
At first, it was a small, breathy, shaky little sound.
Then it bubbled up harder and louder. Until she was clutching her stomach, genuinely laughing like she hadn’t in so long.
