Date a Witch: Reborn as the Witch of Lust! (GL)-Chapter 86: Morning Kisses; Envy’s Introspection
Chapter 86: Morning Kisses; Envy’s Introspection
Lila nuzzled her cheek further into the pillow, sinking as she dreamt of herself in a white gown.
After marrying Mel, it wouldn’t even take a day before her belly carried the fruit of their union.
"Hehe..." As Lila pictured a cheerful child grinning for the family picture, her arm was pushed slightly.
Whimpering against the touch, she shifted into her cover more.
Her shoulder felt barren as it caught the air, as her ’dream Mel’ caught her gaze in the softest eyes imaginable.
As the ’dream Lila’ opened her legs willingly for her trousers, her eyes began to flutter open.
Starlight remained in the sky, now painted with a bright blue backdrop, emphasizing the arrival of morning.
"Having a good sleep?"
Her tired eyes met Mel’s glittering golden gaze, now nestled close against her pink pajamas.
Her shoulder felt bare against the cool air, just as her ’dream Mel’ met her gaze with the softest eyes imaginable.
Dummy Mel. Did she forget to button her sleepwear?
"Good morning..."
Despite that, Lila’s voice trailed off as she melted within Mel’s tender eyes.
As expected, the dream could not match against reality.
"Good morning, Lila." Mel’s palm slithered up her Lila’s hair, the silkiness dancing in between her fingers. "Enjoy last night?"
"Mmmm..." Lila leaned into Mel’s touch as her head was tucked between Mel’s breasts. "I enjoy it a lot."
Her cheek pressed into the softness, swaying slightly as she nestled herself deeper against Mel’s skin.
Mel’s lovely voice whispered into her ear. "Acting so spoiled now, huh?"
"Mm..."
Sleep loosened its grip as Lila’s hazy eyes cleared, before she looked up in a silent beckoning.
Mel’s plushy lips, within a hand’s distance.
She lifted herself, pausing in the air for a moment.
Chuckling, Mel slid her hand into Lila’s hair and guided her into a kiss with Lila atop.
The sweet sensation bloomed in Lila’s mind, her sleepiness veiled by Mel’s tender kiss as their lips tilted, searching for another angle.
An uncontrolled desire bore fruit in Lila’s heart; her tongue darted out to ask for Mel’s entrance.
Mel obliged and opened her lips, her grasp on Lila tightening as her lover slipped her tongue inside.
"Mel..." Lila moaned out, her eyes closing with trickles of tears.
Her tongue’s tip twirled timidly inside; the taste of Mel’s mouth was too heavenly compared to the sweetest herb she found in her village.
As her brain drifted deeper for the morning kiss, her hand hovered above Mel’s chest.
Startled by her own activeness, Lila’s breath stuttered in her throat as she pulled away.
Mel’s eyes twinkled, bright and unbothered. "Still too nervous?"
Lila’s blush deepened, and she gave a quick nod.
This was her first time being so forward, almost fully committing, but despite her usual shamelessness, she still felt one step short.
Insecurity? No, that wasn’t quite it.
A quiet confusion buried her mind as she melted further into Mel’s embrace.
Yet amid her panic, she noticed the little black circles underneath Mel’s eyes.
"Didn’t get enough sleep last night?" She asked, as Mel patted her back.
"Something like that."
Mel averted her gaze for a moment, guilt blooming quietly in her chest.
She wondered what would happen if Lila noticed anything, but aside from the bite mark on her breast, the Saintess’s <Purification> spell should have cleansed their scents thoroughly.
Lila, however, took the flicker of hesitation in Mel’s eyes as regret, regret that Mel’s desire hadn’t been fully satiated.
Her cheeks flushed as she leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to the shadow under Mel’s eye, a small ripple of solace she could afford to Mel.
"Better?"
Lila murmured, her emerald gaze meeting Mel’s, eyes shimmering with barely restrained heat.
As Mel blinked, she took a deep breath at Lila using her own words, before softly smiling.
"No. Not better."
Then, she flipped Lila to her back, staring down as she licked her lips.
Expectant of Mel’s passion, Lila closed her eyes in peace, her hand snaking around Mel’s back, gently urging her down.
As Mel descended to capture her lips more, pink clothes and bare skin mingled together on the mattress.
It would be a long morning before they woke up properly.

After Mel tasted Lila once again, she waited for a severely flushed Lila to fumble with her uniform, before she slipped outside to wait for Mel’s dressing.
Too sensual, Lila claimed. They would not have stopped, she confessed.
Mel chuckled to herself as she brought her uniform from the inventory.
A tickly pain surged as she reclasped her bra and buttoned her uniform shirt, her memory relapsing to last night when-
She shook her head, her pride as a Witch of Lust refusing to accept submission to the Saintess.
Once Mel had calmed her racing thoughts and finished dressing, she stepped outside with a light smile. "Waited long enough?"
To her surprise, however, Lila lowered her head with a frown, as if in a daze, to contemplate something.
A little concerned, she inquired. "What’s wrong?"
"Ah... It’s nothing."
The Witch of Envy’s breath hitched, her gaze shifting to Mel’s hand.
"I just... thought of something silly, something troubling."
Lila mumbled, more to herself than to Mel.
She realized that perhaps insecurity was more deeply rooted in her heart than she’d ever admitted; an ugly feeling she could hardly bear to face.
Jealousy? Pettiness? Mel had brushed those off as cute, calling them proof of their love.
But nothing excused this insecurity.
Not when it stemmed from a need to possess Mel completely or be the only one Mel would ever want to possess.
"I..." Lila took a deep breath as she took Mel’s hand.
A reassuring warmth that fit too perfectly within her grasp, yet was too perfect that she was afraid to let go.
"I will... figure something out..."
Mel’s face gleamed at Lila’s hushed whisper, her gaze doting on her lover’s devotion.
"Don’t need my help?"
Mel pulled Lila along as they walked down the corridor, hand-in-hand.
The Witch of Envy watched Mel’s back; her memory was set adrift from when they were still children in the village.
She was less passionate with Mel then; colder, more distant.
Yet now she faced an opposite dilemma: how much closer she could be with Mel.
Her grasp on Mel’s tightened, yet she was unwilling to step forward this time, unlike when she needed to protect Mel in the exam.
She needed a bit more time, yet a faint smile of gratitude curled on her lips.
Even this dilemma... proved that she belonged solely to Mel.
And that alone fulfilled her; completed her.

As Mel brought Lila downstairs, she was greeted with an unexpected sight.
Well, this is too peaceful.
As if the ’rebellions’ on the other two ships were nothing more than minor disturbances, her eyes narrowed at the familiar sight: students chattering idly on the sofas, while Knights stood off to the right in the lounge.
But more specifically, the Knights were quieter than usual, keeping their distance from one another, as if afraid.
As she mused idly, a voice called out to her and Lila.
"Quite a strange sight, don’t you think?"
Her brows raised as Rosana closed the distance with them.
Mel shrugged. "Not exactly? Though I do enjoy some scoop if you have them."
Mel flashed a smug look at Rosana, still dressed confidently in her crimson dress against the academy’s uniform tradition.
"Sadly, I do not have the privilege of information against the Royal and Holy armies," Rosana smirked back, her voice steady with a quiet introspection.
"However," a serious glint crossed her eyes as she stared into Mel’s. "I would suggest caution otherwise. Something happened while we were asleep, and a Dragon’s instinct rarely lied."
Mel nodded before Lila unexpectedly asked.
"What is it really, though, may I ask?"
Lila’s face remained blank as she gazed at the Heiress, her voice less hostile than usual. "Is it about the Knights?"
"Part of it, yes."
Rosana’s glare swept over the Royal Knights, clustered sneakily and intentionally in the lounge away from the students, conveniently positioned for easy monitoring.
"Someone higher up must have given specific orders." The Heiress shifted her gaze to the Holy Knights, who appeared more relaxed, yet still cast wary glances toward the Royal Knights.
Looking in the same direction, Lila scowled as she realised the same thing. "Is that so? How worrisome."
She had already grown suspicious when the two ’Aria’ appeared just before boarding.
Now, it is almost confirmed that this trip was highly abnormal.
Mel chuckled tiredly at Lila and Rosana’s perceptiveness. Was it the Witches’ weird kinship or their talents?
Either way, the Saintess sure did a poor job of hiding that something was up.
The Heiress cast a curious eye at Lila, curving with a bit of mischievousness.
Perhaps it was as Mel guessed, but something within Rosana told her that today’s Lila seemed a little... different.
She observed how her grasp remained firm on Mel’s, as usual.
But what wasn’t usual were her eyes, no longer focused on Mel herself, but scanning their surroundings like a watchful guardian.
Quite the leap, considering just yesterday, she was eager to prove herself in combat, driven more by a selfish pride than purpose.
Or maybe she had always been this way; only now, something else had drawn it out.
"So, is there something happened today?"
Rosana’s blunt question left Lila gaping, her expression hardening as hostility returned to her gaze.
"Say that again?"
Lila’s eyes flared with renewed bloodlust as she locked her glare on Rosana.
Mel sighed to the side. Witch kinship; mysterious for one moment, breaking apart at the next second.
