Daoism Revival System: Start with fighting against Debunker Streamer-Chapter 436 - 435: Golden Cicada Spreads Its Wings, Wukong, Long Time No See!
Many were astonished at the rebirth of Sun Wukong.
No one expected him to become a Quasi-Saint.
Others, though, took pleasure in schadenfreude.
The average Immortal knew little about the true and false Monkey King debacle at the Great Leiyin Temple, but some Quasi-Saints were well aware.
To put it bluntly,
back then, the Buddha Country laid a trap for Sun Wukong all for a share of the Heaven Repairing Merit.
Unexpectedly, Guanyin of the South Sea, a key figure, changed her mind at the last moment.
"One is an Innate Holy Spirit with flaws, the other a Quasi-Saint with wounds from the Divine Enthronement Calamity."
"When these two fight, the outcome is truly unpredictable."
A Quasi-Saint murmured, their voice echoing as if from the abyss, mysterious and unfathomable.
"I fear not, remember that the Western Heaven Buddha Country possesses more than a handful of Quasi-Saints."
Some equally terrifying presence did not have high hopes for Sun Wukong.
Certainly, some also turned their attention to the third party on the battlefield.
"Is that the Lord of the Immortal Court from the Eastern Desolate Continent? How has he cultivated so swiftly, reaching the Ancestral Immortal Realm?"
"Nevertheless, no matter how fast his progress, he is only an Ancestral Immortal. What is he doing on the Quasi-Saint battlefield?"
"Does he suppose he can engage in such battles?"
Many were puzzled, their expressions peculiar.
...
By this time, Lin Heng had reached the edge of the battlefield.
It must be said,
only by experiencing the battlefield firsthand could one truly grasp the essence of Quasi-Saint Power.
Sun Wukong and the Great Ming King Peacock, even their casual aftermaths, contained world-destroying might.
Lin Heng had exhausted all methods to no avail in damaging the void of the Upper Realm.
However, the center of those two had already collapsed into a black hole.
The Great Ming King Peacock’s five native feathers evolved into the Five-Colored Divine Light of blue, yellow, red, black, and white. The power of this divine light was immeasurable, each fall eradicating all methods before it.
Almost nothing wasn’t swept away, nothing remained unbroken.
But Sun Wukong, by birth, exists outside the Three Realms, and isn’t within the Five Elements, so he wasn’t too frightened of the Five-Colored Divine Light.
On the contrary, his Quasi-Saint Law was about fighting!
Much like the Dou Character Secret from Daoism’s Nine-Character Secret Words.
Under this law, Sun Wukong truly resembled a Fighting God, his attacks and defenses were pushed to the extreme.
He maneuvered in the starry sky, each move fraught with boundless lethal intent, making the heavens and earth tremble.
The Great Ming King Peacock dared not be careless, with the Five-Colored Divine Light accompanying him, like five rushing galaxies, annihilating everything that approached.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The Power of Law ceaselessly clashed.
The starry sky shattered in pieces, and the Twenty-Seventh Heaven seemed on the verge of collapse.
Yet, the two Quasi-Saints remained evenly matched.
Lin Heng dared not get too close, yelling loudly from the battlefield’s edge:
"Great Ming King Peacock, can you even handle this? It’s been so long, yet you can’t suppress Sun Wukong?"
"You claim to be an old Quasi-Saint, yet struggling against a new Quasi-Saint. Did you become one through connections?"
"Oh right, rumors say you have ties with the Western Tathagata. Is that true?"
"If you can’t win, don’t force it. Just let Tathagata step in."
Lin Heng rode the Somersault Cloud, running alongside the battlefield, but never stepping any further.
The fierceness of those two’s battle.
He shouted just as fiercely from the side.
His voice, imbued with Ancestral Immortal Power, resonated throughout the cosmos, echoing across the starry sky.
"Great Ming King Peacock, I’m talking to you, respond already."
"What exactly is your relationship with Tathagata?"
Lin Heng continued his verbal harassment.
Unfortunately, just as he predicted,
the Upper Realm’s powerhouses had exceptionally shrewd minds.
No matter Lin Heng’s sarcasm,
the fighting Great Ming King Peacock ignored it entirely.
This was a battle where he didn’t dare be distracted,
while always guarding against strange techniques.
"Ah..."
Lin Heng sighed, increasingly regretting spending billions of fame points on a Purple Gold Red Gourd, considering it a tremendous loss.
However, at that moment, a voice suddenly sounded by his ear.
"If you don’t want to die, leave quickly. A Buddha is coming from the West!"
Hmm?
Lin Heng raised an eyebrow, focusing his attention all around, unsure who gave the warning.
Unable to resist furrowing his brow, he glanced at the evenly matched battlefield and quickly concealed his presence, fleeing eastward.
Indeed.
Lin Heng had just escaped the battlefield.
The next moment.
A surging pressure swept from the West.
"Buzz"!
A sharp cicada’s cry suddenly rang throughout heaven and earth.
Its sound like a blade.
Rising to the Thirtieth Heaven, breaking the cloud sea across a million miles.
Descending to mountains and rivers, exploding instantly.
Living beings near the sky had their Primordial Spirit shattered in an instant.
Even Immortals hidden far from the sound waves bled from all orifices.
"Who is it?"
"Who is appearing now?"
Countless Immortals and gods turned pale, sensing the terrifying aura of the newcomer.
"The West has a cicada, proving the Dao of the Journey to the West!"
"Has he come?"
A very few gasped, their hearts gripped by fearsome speculation.
Across the Immortal Realms, the concerned Quasi-Saints sensed the newcomer’s identity through secret techniques.
This left many astonished.
"Golden Cicada unexpectedly emerges at this moment?"
"Looks like he still worries about the Great Ming King Peacock being in trouble..."
"But isn’t he afraid of encountering trouble himself?"
Numerous beings smirked.
"It’s getting more interesting."
"Today, it seems a Quasi-Saint might indeed fall; let’s see who succumbs before the Saint opportunity descends."
Many whispered.
And secretly, Quasi-Saints were already rushing toward the battlefield.
...
Golden Cicada hummed atop the Twenty-Seventh Heaven.
The terrifying sound shattered a portion of space.
Sun Wukong was battling fiercely with the Great Ming King Peacock, and upon sensing another Quasi-Saint’s arrival, he countered with a fist as vast as a star.
Yet, he was caught unprepared by the shock.
Reeling back several somersaults in the starry sky, he finally halted.
The Great Ming King Peacock caught his breath, glancing at Golden Cicada with surprise, not expecting his aid on the battlefield.
Sun Wukong’s face was somewhat pale, yet he swiftly straightened, like a giant ape that would never fall, his gaze icy toward a familiar figure nearby.
That figure also turned back, looking at him.
Golden Cicada smiled faintly, saying, "Wukong, long time no see."
His tone held some wistfulness, the Buddha’s Kasaya adorning him, shining with a precious light, a true treasure far superior to the Brocade Kasaya from his scripture journey.
The Merit Golden Wheel behind him glittered radiantly, resembling a great sun, rendering him exceptionally sacred.
"Indeed, long time no see. You’ve certainly spruced up nicely."
Sun Wukong replied, his words far from courteous.
His Black Stone-like body churned with crimson lava, like boiling blood, demonstrating his restless fighting spirit.
