Chapter 803: Chapter 803: How Was I the Only One Who Didn’t Know?

"Hah!?"

When Riveria finished her report, Loki’s jaw dropped so wide it almost hit the floor. It took her quite a while to snap back to reality.

"Taken away again? Isn’t this way too rushed?"

She hadn’t even gone home once—and Bell had already taken Ais back into the Dungeon.

Too rushed.

Way too rushed.

Even if he was desperate to get Ais more training time, he didn’t need to move this fast.

Which meant something had definitely happened while she was gone.

With that conclusion, Loki’s face shifted. She shot up from the sofa she’d been slumped on and bolted toward her room, tossing out a single line as she ran.

"I’m going over there. Handle things yourselves!"

Finn, Riveria, and Gareth exchanged glances, each having noticed the shift in Loki’s expression.

"Looks like something happened," Finn said with certainty. If the situation had reached dangerous levels, he could have used his thumb’s sensing ability to gauge it—but at least it hadn’t gotten that far.

"Loki must know more about Bell than she lets on, or she wouldn’t have reacted like that," Riveria added. She also felt the timing was strange, though she didn’t know the reason.

"My guess is Bell thinks it’s time to accelerate Ais’s follow-up training, so he took her right away."

"Looking at Bell’s actions from a practical standpoint makes the most sense."

"Mhm."

Finn agreed. This was perfectly consistent with Bell’s usual behavior.

"So Loki believes something must have happened on Bell’s end to force such a rushed move. With Bell’s personality, he wouldn’t act so hastily otherwise."

In Finn’s memory, Bell always controlled the pace of events perfectly, never rushing. This sudden shift was undeniably concerning.

If Finn could pick up on it, Loki had absolutely noticed it first.

She sprinted back to her room and immediately opened a spatial tunnel leading to the Hestia Familia.

The moment she arrived in her room there, she burst out the door.

"ANYONE HOME?!"

Still yelling, Loki strode quickly toward the stairs on the second floor.

From the second-floor landing, she could see directly into the main hall below. The goddesses of the household rarely stayed in their rooms, so when they weren’t busy, they usually sat together in the living room.

Sure enough, upon hearing Loki shout, the goddesses below looked up—and saw Loki gripping the railing, panting heavily.

"Good, you’re all here."

Loki worked to calm her frantic heartbeat as she hurried down the stairs.

Facing her former friends, her voice involuntarily rose.

"What the hell happened this week? Why was I told nothing—and why did Bell take Ais back into the Dungeon!?"

The four goddesses looked back at her expressionlessly.

"You were gone the whole week, weren’t you?" Hestia replied, her tone utterly casual—accurately reflecting the past week’s events. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

But after answering, she was immediately met with Loki’s fierce glare.

"I was gone—but you couldn’t come and tell me!?"

"Ah, then next time I’ll do that."

Her utterly irresponsible, flat, intentionally perfunctory tone made a vein bulge visibly on Loki’s forehead.

She forced herself to breathe, lowering her blood pressure before Hestia actually killed her through stress.

Next time? They hadn’t even figured out this mess—what next time!?

Loki was certain she’d missed something extremely important while she was away.

Just thinking about it made the veins on her forehead throb violently.

She had a very strong suspicion these idiots had intentionally not told her a thing.

Granted—she had been completely entangled by those idiots in Orario for the entire week.

Even Loki, who could normally tolerate Hestia, was reaching the limits of her patience.

"!"

"It’s those gods who have nothing better to do! Can’t find Bell, so they come bother me! Do they really think I’m easy to push around!?"

If she hadn’t wanted to take the hit for Bell, Loki wouldn’t have bothered dealing with their harassment at all.

After exploding, Loki felt her blood pressure drop slightly.

She forced her breathing steady—she was certain that her next questions would send her pressure soaring again.

"Shorty—start talking. What exactly happened to Bell this past week?"

"And explain my situation while you’re at it. Since those bastards couldn’t find Bell, they all turned their attention on me."

That single sentence made Hestia immediately shut her mouth.

Even without Loki explaining in detail, she knew why the gods were hounding Loki—it was all because of Bell.

"Bell discovered a residual consciousness inside his soul."

"What!?"

Hestia had barely started her explanation when Loki jumped up in shock.

"A second consciousness in his soul!? And you didn’t think to tell me something THAT important!?"

This was beyond serious.

"That was Bell’s decision. He knew the gods were watching you, so he told us not to inform you."

That one line shut Loki down completely.

The moment she returned, the gods had immediately begun watching her, trying to pry information about Bell from her.

For an entire week, she’d been shadowed by various gods. Every day a different one came to "discuss the world reset issue" with her—perfectly reasonable excuses she couldn’t refuse.

Loki knew that, on the surface, she was the one closest to Bell. As long as Bell’s affiliation with the Hestia Familia wasn’t public, the gods could only extract information from her.

Who would’ve thought something would go wrong inside Bell’s soul at such a critical time?

Loki could feel murderous intent clawing its way up her throat.

"Shorty, explain. Everything."

She needed to know what exactly had happened to Bell this past week.
