Chapter 39 - “Its nice to meet you, my brother!”

Chapter:"Its nice to meet you, my brother!" Part 1

The little town of Oliena was situated in the interior countryside of Sardinia.

Although there were no particular tourist attractions, it was a beautifully scenic location.

The scenery included quiet forests and vast farmland, with a sense of delight that could not be found in a bustling metropolis.

Two figures walked along the stone-paved road, their footsteps light yet purposeful.

The first, a man clad in a sleek black coat, moved with effortless grace.

His dark hair was neatly styled, and his piercing black eyes gleamed under the dim streetlights.

There was an undeniable sense of authority in his presence.

Beside him walked another man, slightly older, his posture straight and formal. His black hair was slicked back, and his crisp white dress shirt remained unwrinkled despite their journey.

Two of them soon arrive before a big house.

The exquisite house and garden revealed the owner's indifference to horticulture. The yard was full of weeds, while the flowerbeds were filled with herbs and flowers.

He exuded an air of discipline and calculation.

"So, this is where the Witch of the earth's living?" Sir Iceman asked, glancing at the quiet surroundings.

Black Prince Alexandre smirked, his gaze wandering across the landscape. "Yes, apparently she was living for quiet place."

"Are you sure, the Princess is already here?"

"Yes, she is already here."(?)

Before, Black Prince Alexandre replied, a voice unexpectedly cut through the midday stillness.

?!

Both men tensed.

In an instant, a small figure appeared between them as if stepping out of thin air—a child exuding a faint yet undeniable pressure.

The bright noon sun cast sharp shadows on the cobbled path, highlighting their striking appearance.

A black and red hooded child stood before them wearing a white, with a black and red beaked mask.

Danger!

Startled, both men instinctively jumped back.

Sir Iceman felt the pressure instantly and reacted without hesitation. His sword, imbued with a blue aura, flashed as he struck at the unknown figure.

*Clang!*

The child raised a black scabbard, effortlessly intercepting the attack.

The force of the collision caused a shockwave behind the child and sent a sharp metallic sound through the surroundings.

'Aura?!'

Sir Iceman's eyes widened slightly in shock, seeing the scabbard covering some black aura, but he didn't falter, pressing harder into the clash.

"Woah, that was a quick reaction.... the child mused, their tone playful but edged with amusement. "You're strong as expected of his companion."

The kid hoodie wearing a beak mask spoke, complementing Sir Iceman.

'Companion?' Sir Iceman didn't lower his weapon. "You...Who exactly are you?"

Sir Iceman's eyes narrowed, feeling the unexpected strength behind the block.

He pushed forward, but the masked child stood firm, holding their ground without effort.

"Just sleep for a while."

Then, the masked child suddenly twisted their body, using the momentum of the clash to deliver a swift kick to Sir Iceman's chest.

Thud!

*COUGH*

He caught off guard, Sir Iceman staggered back but quickly regained his footing, blade raised in defense.

"I said you should sleep for a while."

Without hesitation, the child mask's little hand suddenly appeared in his face, holding him and push down to the ground.

*BOOM*

The ground created a big crater due to the power of the child release caused by Sir Iceman's knockout.

Then, the child shifted and began attacking the Black Prince Alexandre, closing the gap instantly.

"Hoh.."

Alexandre's eyes flashed quickly step back.

With a flick of his wrist, a magic barrier shimmered into existence.

The child released his Katana from its scabbard—then threw the empty scabbard like a projectile, aiming straight for the prince.

*Crack!* *CREAK!**BOOM!!*

The moment the scabbard struck, the barrier shattered like fragile glass. Alexandre's smirk vanished.

'Impossible.'

He hadn't expected that.

Reacting swiftly, he raised his other hand, chanting under his breath.

[Mana Missile]

A volley of magic missiles began to emerge from his back and shot forward, streaking toward the child in rapid succession.

The masked child didn't move—only his katana did.

Slash! Slash! Slash! *shing* Shing* SHing*

Each mana missile was sliced apart midair, dispersing harmlessly before they could reach their target.

The precision was flawless.

'So fast!?'

He watched the masked child wield their sword perfectly, a black aura trailing behind their movements.

Like he was dancing,

He began to feel a familiar scene where he had seen this not long ago.

Alexandre's eyes widened in realisation, and he murmured under his breath. "I see... So it's you."

After slicing all the magic missiles, the child mask began to emit a golden aura and say something.

'[O, Flames, burn my enemies. Let my will ignite!]

A golden divine flame began to appear, circling him.

Flames went to his sword, mixing black aura and golden flames became golden dark red flames.

The temperature in the air spiked instantly. The cobbled path beneath them cracked from the sheer heat, and energy waves pulsed outward, distorting the air.

Alexandre's smirk faded utterly. He had seen this before.

That golden divine fire, that intensity—it left no doubt.

The divine flame of the [Goddess of the sun: Amaterasu]

As his expression darkened, he prepared to activate his [Authority].

The child raised his katana, flames coiling around it like a living flame beast.

Then, with a single, precise motion, he swung.

A golden blazing horizontal projectile slash exploded forward, expanding as it surged toward Alexandre.

Yet, Alexandre Gascoigne did not flinch.

The infamous Black Prince, Alexandre Gascoigne, stood amidst the tension, his sharp golden eyes appraising the masked child before him.

He had fought against formidable enemies and wielded his authority against gods and monsters alike—yet this child had shattered his barrier and deflected his spells with absurd ease.

How amusing.

"You're quite skilled," Alexandre remarked casually as if they were conversing politely rather than dueling. "But unfortunately for you, I dislike being toyed with."

Yellow lightning crackled around him.

His [Authority of God Speed] Lightning awakened—a power usurped from Ramiel, the fallen angel of visions and thunder.

[God Speed]

The world seemed to freeze.

*BOOOOOM*

The moment the smoke disappeared.

Alexandre vanished on his spot.

The only remnant of his presence was the afterimage of him with the crackle of lightning. The divine flames of Amaterasu slashed through to him.

?!

Before the masked child could react, he was already behind them.

A surge of golden lightning erupted from Alec's body, crackling with raw, destructive energy.

The air trembled under its presence, the sheer force pressing down on the battlefield.

With effortless grace, Alec raised his hand for a swift neck chop, aiming to knock the child unconscious in a single precise strike.

But then—

[Kneel!]

A sudden chill shot down Alexandre's spine—a primal warning not to proceed.

"!"

Alexandre's instincts flared—something was wrong.

CRACK!

An unseen force detonated outward.

His body froze in-motion—then, against his will, his knees buckled.

"—?!?!"

The space around the child twisted violently, the air itself warping like a mirage. Then it hit him—a crushing weight like an entire world had collapsed.

This is...?!.

His golden eyes widened in raw disbelief. His body forcing to move—not from hesitation, but because the very laws of gravity had shifted against him.

Tch... This pressure—?!

Alexandre gritted his teeth, forcing his gaze downward.

Despite the child showing no sign of turning around—

The tip of the child's katana was already there.

Pointed directly behind him.

It was waiting—as if the child had perceived where he would appear.

In that moment, Black Prince Alexandre understood—this was the source of the chilling dread that had gripped his spine.

Observation Haki

The child had felt his presence—not through sight but sheer awareness of his intent.

Alexandre's smirk faded for a fraction of a second.

"Tch... Impressive."

Alexandre's golden eyes flickered in recognition. "Interesting..." he muttered under his breath, now realizing this battle would be far more challenging than he first thought.

"OK, THATS ENOUGH!"

The words carried unnatural force, amplified by magic.

All two combatants froze.

A blonde woman's presence floated above them, bathed in ethereal light.

It was Princess Alice, appearing through an Astral Projection.

Her gaze was calm yet firm as she descended slightly, her presence washing over them like a quiet storm.

"I thought you were going to greet them properly, Asahi. But I didn't expect this kind of greeting."

The masked child chuckled. "Hehe, well...Yes, our mom said that if I'm gonna meet my brother, I should send a proper greeting—something with a surprise."

Mom?

Alexandre's expression darkened in confusion. What the hell is he talking about

The child mask looks at Black Prince Alex and takes off his mask along with his hoodie.

A child cheerfully smiled at him and sent a greeting to his brother.

"Its nice to meet you, my brother!"

For a long moment, Alexandre simply stared at Asahi

His sharp golden eyes became black as a sign he turned off his [GodSpeed], flickering red between the grinning red-haired boy and the discarded mask in his hand.

"Hah??"
