Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 56: Portrait Sketch
Hearing Victoria Don’s words, Damon Hawke frowned deeply, temporarily speechless.
Elara Don pursed her lips, stood up, and slightly lowered her eyes, "Sorry, it was my negligence."
No matter what, the fact is that the child got injured while under her care.
Victoria Don is the child’s biological mother; she has the right to hold Elara accountable.
"Is a simple apology enough? Elara Don, did you do it on purpose?"
Victoria Don forcefully pushed Elara Don, "I know you hate me for pushing you into the sea, but if you’re angry, take it out on me. Why did you intentionally approach my son and let him get hurt?"
Did she deliberately approach Charlie?
She did not!
Elara Don stumbled slightly, barely managing to stand firm.
"Victoria Don, stop being unreasonable! Charlie’s injury has nothing to do with her!"
Damon Hawke supported Elara Don and looked at Victoria Don, speaking in a deep voice.
"How does it have nothing to do with her?"
Victoria Don shouted, "Damon, she wants to replace my position, so she clings to Charlie to intentionally approach you. But she isn’t his real mother; how could she truly care? Isn’t today’s situation proof enough? Once she replaces me and marries into the Hawke Family, can Charlie’s safety be guaranteed? My poor son might suffer at the hands of a stepmother in the future, won’t he?"
Victoria Don wiped her tears and cried in anguish.
It really seems like the child has been taken away, drawing sympathy.
Damon Hawke’s thin lips pressed tightly, his jawline forming a straight line, indicating his current mood was very bad.
Next to him, Elara Don’s fingers clenched tightly, her heart surging.
"Victoria Don, stop imagining things! I am responsible for today’s incident; I didn’t take care of Charlie. I accept any punishment, but to say I intentionally approached Charlie to replace you and marry into the Hawke Family is overthinking. I am not interested in competing with you! I only hope Charlie can grow up safely!"
Who is actually mistreating Charlie?
She knows the truth!
Victoria Don is deliberately using this opportunity to slander her!
"My son is over four years old and has never had an accident! But as soon as you appeared, he got injured! Elara Don, remember your own words and stop planning to use Charlie for trouble!"
Victoria Don coldly chuckled in her heart, "Now, we don’t need an outsider here, hurry up and leave!"
It’s true that the child got into trouble under Elara Don’s care; finally, she can turn the tables.
"You don’t need to say it; I’ll leave once Charlie’s surgery is done."
Elara Don glanced at her and stubbornly looked toward the emergency room.
"You!"
Victoria Don was secretly enraged, just wanting to quickly get rid of the pest that is Elara Don.
At that moment, the surgery room light dimmed, and a doctor emerged from within.
"Charlie’s surgery is over."
Elara Don’s eyes brightened, walking forward past Victoria Don.
Damon Hawke also saw it, not caring about anything else, swiftly stepping forward.
Victoria Don’s eyes gleamed and she followed.
"Director, how is my son?"
"Mr. Hawke, the young master was brought in just in time. Although he suffered a head injury, he is no longer in any life-threatening danger."
The child is safe now!
Everyone present breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you."
Damon Hawke nodded slightly, seeing the director off.
"Elara Don, my son’s surgery is over, aren’t you going to get out of here?"
Victoria Don shot a glance at Elara Don and said scornfully.
Elara Don pursed her lips, gave Damon Hawke a look, and then slightly lowered her eyes, "Mr. Hawke, I apologize to you all once again. I will be leaving now."
Even though she very much wanted to see the child, she knew that with Victoria Don there, she wouldn’t be allowed to see him.
She could only leave first.
Damon Hawke’s striking brows remained furrowed.
Watching Elara Don as she turned to leave, his dark eyes deepened.
"Thank goodness the child is okay! Damon, let’s hurry to see our son."
Victoria Don reached out to link arms with Damon Hawke, eyes gleaming with a trace of triumph.
Damon Hawke’s aura darkened; he shot her a glance and forcefully freed himself from her grasp, striding forward.
Tsk!
No matter how unwilling he was, she was still the child’s biological mother.
As long as she remained the child’s biological mother, she could keep him in check!
Victoria Don smirked in satisfaction.
"Damon, wait for me!"
Skyridge Apartments.
Dominic Hawke sat on the couch, his tense little face still showing a hint of pallor.
Bea was taken away; she doesn’t know how she’s doing now!
He didn’t have the courage to admit he was Dominic Hawke because he feared it would sadden Auntie Charlotte further.
Why did those two villains take Bea?
Where did they take Bea!
Dominic Hawke’s little mouth pressed tightly; his small hands clenched into fists, and something shone in his dark eyes.
He couldn’t just sit here.
He had to help Dad find the villains who took Bea.
Dominic Hawke tried hard to remember the details from that day, slid off the couch, and ran into the study.
He still remembered the face of one of the villains.
He would draw it!
Elara Don absent-mindedly returned to the apartment.
Opening the door, she noticed the house was eerily quiet, causing her heart to jump.
"Bea, where are you?"
"Mommy, I’m here."
Dominic Hawke heard the noise, glanced at the portrait he had just finished drawing, slid off the chair, and ran out of the study.
"Bea, so you’re in the study."
Elara Don felt a bit startled and jittery.
Charlie was in trouble, so she feared Bea might get into trouble as well.
"Mommy, how is Charlie?"
Dominic Hawke, seeing Elara Don’s anxious appearance, hurried to ask.
"He’s alright now. His Dad found him, and he’s at the hospital. He should be out of danger."
Elara Don patted his little head and glanced at the paper in his hand.
Huh, a sketch of a man?
Drawn so lifelike!
Since when could her son draw so well?
"Really? Charlie’s okay now! That’s great!"
Upon hearing that Bea was found, Dominic Hawke’s eyes sparkled, and he felt a great relief.
Thinking of something, his little face became more serious.
"Mommy, were those two bad guys caught?"
Who exactly took Bea?
"Probably... not yet."
Elara Don shook her head.
They haven’t been caught yet!
Then it’s up to him!
"Mommy, this is one of those bad guys. You should quickly get Charlie’s dad to send someone to catch them."
Dominic Hawke handed the sketch to Elara Don, his little face serious.
Elara Don widened her eyes, looking at the sketch in her hand, and then at the little guy in front of her, full of disbelief.
"Bea, did you draw this sketch? You actually have a talent for drawing?"
So unbelievable!
She remembered her son previously loved playing with bugs and always tossed aside the drawing supplies she bought him.
When did he start liking to draw?
Recently, perhaps!
And suddenly he drew so well!
Is her son a genius at drawing?
Then she must cultivate him properly in the future!
She, this silly mommy, really doesn’t pay enough attention to her own child!
She just lets things take their course!
Almost buried a drawing genius!
"Mommy, I combined computer software to draw it. You should quickly take pictures and show them to Charlie’s dad."
Dominic Hawke’s dark eyes sparkled, feeling guilty, urging Elara Don to take a photo.
"Yes, yes, my son is amazing! Mommy will take a photo right away and send it to Charlie’s dad."
Elara Don, not caring about anything else, quickly took out her phone, snapped a picture of the drawing, and sent it to Damon Hawke.
