Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Bea Is Kidnapped

"Kiki’s mom, thanks for looking after Bea for me."

Elara Don walked over to Kiki’s mom and spoke with a smile.

"No trouble at all, your son is especially lovable."

Kiki’s mom waved her hand, her gaze shifting to Dominic Hawke, "Is this your boss’s son?"

"Yes, let me make some introductions..."

Elara Don introduced the few people.

"Hello Auntie, hello Bea, hello Kiki."

Dominic Hawke politely greeted everyone.

"Humph, Dominic Hawke, you’re stealing my mommy."

Bea pouted, her little chin raised high with a look of pouty jealousy.

Dominic Hawke looked at him, slowly reached out his small hand to tug at him, and obediently apologized, "I’m sorry, Bea."

He hadn’t known that Bea’s kindergarten would also have a field trip today.

Nor did he expect Aunt Charlotte to accompany him on the field trip instead of Bea.

What should he do with the little thrill in his heart?

"Humph! Dominic Hawke, my mommy’s favorite person is still me. I was generous enough to let her accompany you on the field trip."

Bea wasn’t really upset, but he declared his claim verbally.

"I understand. Don’t be angry."

"Alright, since I’m a big-hearted person, I forgive you."

"..."

Listening to their innocent exchange, Elara Don couldn’t help but chuckle, ruffling the two little heads.

Her son’s character was rather lively, and she hoped that after getting to know him, Dominic Hawke could also become a bit more outgoing.

"Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom."

Bea’s large expressive eyes twinkled, squeezing his little legs.

"Alright, I’ll go with you."

"No need. I’ll go with Dominic Hawke."

He had said he’d find a chance to help Dominic Hawke establish some authority in front of the kids at his kindergarten.

Today was a perfect opportunity!

"Hey, you two slow down!"

Elara Don watched the two run straight towards the bathroom, shaking her head with a laugh.

Who knew these two kids would hit it off so well!

Of course, she had no idea that the two kids had already known each other for a while.

Inside the bathroom, Bea confirmed no one was there and hurried Dominic Hawke, "Dominic Hawke, quickly change your clothes. Don’t say I’m not being a good brother, I’m going to your class to boost your presence, ensuring your classmates will love hanging out with you in the future."

Bea was going to have his back!

Bea was just too good to him!

Dominic Hawke felt touched, taking off his school uniform, "Bea, you’re so good to me."

"Humph, I’m doing it for myself, so you won’t have an excuse to steal my mommy again."

Bea looked smug, swapping clothes with Dominic Hawke.

"I didn’t mean to steal Aunt Charlotte. I’m just envious of you."

Dominic Hawke glanced at him, explaining with his little mouth.

Bea finished changing clothes, and seeing Dominic Hawke looking at him eagerly, he felt a bit proud.

"Alright, don’t look so pitiful. If there are events at your school in the future, I’ll lend you mommy again."

After all, he was mommy’s son.

Mommy belonged to him alone.

Dominic Hawke pursed his lips, thinking he didn’t want to borrow her, he wanted to be Aunt Charlotte’s other son.

But he’d have to figure out how to get his dad and Aunt Charlotte together on his own.

"Dominic Hawke, you stay here to use the bathroom. Once I’ve dealt with your classmates, we’ll change back here."

Bea took Dominic Hawke’s mask in hand, ready to put on a performance.

"Bea, what are you planning to do? Actually, my classmates haven’t been picking on me for the past couple of days, except for the chubby one who likes to glare at me."

Dominic Hawke felt a bit nervous, worried Bea would get into fights.

"Hehe, Dominic Hawke, building respect doesn’t need fighting. Just watch."

Bea toyed with the bug-filled bottle in his hand, his big eyes darting around.

Fighting is the lowest form of conflict resolution!

He’s the darling that everyone loves!

Watching Bea leave the bathroom, Dominic Hawke hurried into the stall, relieved his bladder, and ran out as well.

He wanted to hide in a corner to see how Bea would establish his respect.

Dominic Hawke planned to sneak around from the other side on his little legs.

From afar, he caught sight of Bea’s figure, hopping and skipping, his soft black hair expressing his energy.

Dominic Hawke’s little mouth curved into a smile, watching him with envy.

Was it because Aunt Charlotte accompanied him every day?

Is that why he’s so happy!

If he could be with Aunt Charlotte every day, he’d certainly be this joyful too!

Just then, two shadowy figures snuck out from one side of the grove.

Immediately, they rushed towards Bea, covering his mouth and nose from behind, then turned back into the grove!

Dominic Hawke stepped out from his corner, gaping at Bea’s feeble struggles, pulling off one of the captor’s masks before being taken away.

As reality hit, his heart raced to his throat.

He wanted to call for help, but his throat felt constricted, unable to make a sound.

He frantically ran over, gazing into the tree-filled grove, his lips pale.

There was no one there!

Bea had been kidnapped!

Where had they taken him!

"Bea, Charlie? Are you done?"

Not seeing the two return, Elara Don worriedly came searching for them.

When she saw Dominic Hawke standing dazed in front of the grove, she walked over with a smile.

"Bea, what are you doing standing here? Where’s Charlie?"

Bea!

Aunt Charlotte called him Bea!

But the real Bea had been taken by the bad guys!

Dominic Hawke’s face turned pale, his body trembling lightly.

He grabbed Elara Don’s hand, pointing at the grove.

"There are bad people, they, they..."

The child’s eyes were filled with terror and tears.

Elara Don’s smile vanished as she quickly knelt down, "Bea, tell me clearly, what bad people? Where’s Charlie? Where is he?"

"He’s, he was taken by the bad guys!"

Thud!

Elara Don sat on the ground with a thud, all color drained from her face!

...

On the bumpy concrete road, a van moved forward.

On the back seat of the car lay a delicate little figure.

At this moment, his eyes were closed, he was still unconscious.

"Boss, it should be this kid, right?"

The man in black in the passenger seat cast a glance at the little person on the back seat, then looked at the picture in his hand.

"The time and place are right, so it must be him."

The man in the driver’s seat said, "This kid is so finely made, who knows why the client wants us to kidnap him. We just kidnap him without demanding ransom, just told to keep him a night and release him! This job is easy money."

"Isn’t that right! Nowadays, with the Netherworld Organization’s disappearance in the underworld, we brothers are starving. It’s just right to make a buck for a bite!"

"Exactly, I heard Second Uncle wants to go solo, how many brothers do you think would go with him?"

"I don’t know about others, but the two of us definitely will follow, because it’s quick money!"

"..."

They chatted on, while in the back seat, the little figure’s eyelashes fluttered as if he was about to wake up.
