Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 426: I Won’t Let You Cry Again
"Benjamin, you’ve come."
Serena Wells saw Benjamin Harper, her face still showing a look of shock.
Benjamin supported her, wanting to lead her towards the bed, "Why are you running around?"
"I, I need to go to the restroom."
Serena quickly said with a blushing face.
Benjamin paused, then lifted her up horizontally.
"Raise the IV bag a bit higher, be careful of backflow."
The man’s voice was gentle, and as he spoke, he steadily carried her toward the restroom.
Serena barely suppressed her exclamation, looking at his perfect jawline and sexy Adam’s apple, her heart pounded like a deer.
Benjamin was holding her!
She must look so ugly right now.
Oh, she was seen by him at her ugliest moment.
"Benjamin, I must be heavy."
Serena said softly.
Benjamin kicked open the restroom door, glanced down at her obedient appearance, and smiled, "You’re too light. Are you even a hundred pounds? You need to eat more and gain some weight."
She was roughly five foot six, but really light.
Probably only around ninety pounds.
After all, dancers need to maintain their figure.
She was indeed too thin.
"A good girl is never over a hundred pounds. If I gain weight, I’ll be out of a job."
Serena chuckled tenderly, then a shadow flickered in her eyes, "But I won’t have to control my weight anymore in the future."
She couldn’t dance anymore, so she wouldn’t need to worry about her weight.
Seeing the woman’s somber expression, a trace of guilt flashed in Benjamin’s eyes.
"I’m sorry, Annie."
He had dragged her into this mess.
"Benjamin, I don’t blame you, really."
Serena was startled and quickly said, "Actually, I often get injured while dancing. Sometimes I can’t even hold on, so now I can finally take better care of my health."
What was she even thinking?
Given the circumstances, she couldn’t become a resentful woman, nor could she make Benjamin feel guilty.
Benjamin knew Serena said this intentionally to lessen his guilt.
His heart softened a bit.
This girl was kind and well-behaved; he liked her even more.
Benjamin didn’t say anything further but gently put her down and hung the IV bag beside her.
Then he glanced at her and pretended to help her take off her pants.
"Ben-Benjamin, I-I can do it myself, you should go out."
Serena held onto her pants tightly, her face so red it could drip water.
Benjamin watched her shy expression with interest, a smile in his eyes.
"You really don’t need my help?"
"No no, I can do it myself."
Serena shook her head repeatedly.
Benjamin intended to tease her a bit more, but upon seeing her unsteady stance, he decided against it.
"Alright, I’ll be outside. Call me when you’re done."
"Okay."
Watching Benjamin turn and leave, Serena let out a long sigh.
She carefully placed her injured leg on the ground, then loosened her pants and slowly sat on the toilet.
Outside.
Benjamin leaned against the door waiting for Serena, and after a moment, pulled out his phone to check the news.
At that moment, a piece of news was circulating online about Ru Townsend.
The news not only had photos of Ru throwing a tantrum on set and verbally abusing her assistant, but also of her being slapped by a director’s wife for seducing the deputy director.
These were the scandalous pieces he had collected on Ru Townsend.
After what she did to Serena, he couldn’t just let her get away with it.
Once Ru’s scandals came out, her status in the entertainment industry would surely plummet.
He wanted her to experience being insulted by the whole internet, having collaborators cancel contracts, and reaching a point where she had no roles!
Benjamin looked at the overwhelming comments from netizens below and smirked.
"Oh my God, no wonder my idol was willing to distance himself even if it meant losing fans. Someone like Ru can never be worthy of my pure idol."
"Isn’t that right? I initially misunderstood the idol, thinking he was not committed to affection, turns out I was completely wrong."
"The idol has good taste; someone like Ru is trash, the farther the better."
"..."
Quite a few netizens left comments under the news, expressing apologies to him.
Ironically, they make or break you, these netizens.
Benjamin didn’t comment on the netizens’ discussions, treating them as mere amusement.
Just then, a noise came from the restroom.
"Oh dear."
It was Serena’s voice, Benjamin was startled, quickly put away his phone, and rushed in.
"Annie."
At that moment, Serena had fallen to the ground, struggling to get up.
Benjamin strode over and picked her up.
"How did you fall? Are you hurt? Weren’t you supposed to call me when you were done? Why try to be brave?"
The man’s series of questions couldn’t hide his concern despite the reproachful tone.
Seeing his anxious expression, a wave of emotion surged in Serena’s heart.
"Benjamin, you’re so good to me."
So good that it felt unreal.
She was afraid she was dreaming; once awake, this warmth would vanish.
Benjamin gently placed her on the bed, seeing her tearful eyes, then slightly leaned closer and brushed her hair gently.
"Silly girl, always crying so easily?"
The man’s tone was so tender that Serene’s tears, originally suppressed, spilled out again.
"I, I didn’t mean to, it’s just the tears disobediently wanted to come out."
Serena wiped her tears away messily and spoke.
The woman’s anxious attempts at explanation made her seem akin to a rabbit with wet eyes, endearing.
Benjamin couldn’t help but curve his lips.
His long fingers moved down slowly to pinch her delicate chin.
"Annie, I won’t let you cry again."
He liked to see her smile, and wanted her to smile happily.
His gentle lips met hers.
The pleasant male scent enveloped her.
Serena’s eyes widened, her mind went blank with a thunderous roar.
What was Benjamin doing?
He was, kissing her?
"Silly girl, close your eyes!"
The low laughter spilling from his lips had a magical effect, causing Serena to obediently close her eyes.
Oh, her head was spinning; she must be dreaming again. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
If it were a dream, she hoped this beautiful dream would never end!
Amelia Miles was indulging in food and drinks, wandering and sightseeing in the holiday village, completely relaxed.
At nightfall, Damon Hawke brought her to a special area in the holiday resort for tourists to soak in hot springs, booking a pool just for her.
Sitting in the clear hot spring pool and observing Damon’s broad shoulders and narrow hips, Amelia felt utterly satisfied.
Now she was wealthy and free, and accompanied by a loving man—truly a winner in life.
"Hun, want a drink?"
Damon leaned by the pool, poured himself a glass of alcohol, and raised an eyebrow towards Amelia.
Amelia smiled lightly, not refusing.
But as she took the glass, she suddenly felt a twinge in her stomach.
Could it be?
On such a romantic day, was her time of the month arriving?
Amelia glanced at the handsome man, a hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
If her time of the month was coming, then Damon’s daydreams of happiness would have to abruptly end.
"I’m heading to the restroom."
For safety, Amelia decided to go to the restroom.
"Should I go with you?"
Damon looked at Amelia and asked.
"No need, enjoy soaking, I’ll be back soon."
Amelia planted a kiss on his face, then donned a towel and left the hot spring pool.
Strolling leisurely towards the restroom, she caught a glimpse of a figure.
Amelia paused, surprise flashing in her eyes.
