Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Getting a Good Guy Card

"Just one bowl of noodles? Anything else?"

Frost Moore ordered room service.

"No, that’s all."

Lily Johnson quickly shook her head and looked at Frost Moore, saying, "Sir, may I know your surname? I don’t have any money on me right now, but I’ll definitely pay you back for the noodles tomorrow."

"It’s nothing, don’t worry about it."

Frost Moore heard the doorbell ring and went to speak with the floor manager.

Lily’s almond-shaped eyes shone, and she walked up behind him, saying, "Sir, you’re so kind. Can I treat you to a meal tomorrow?"

Frost Moore looked at her face, a hint of hesitation flickered in his eyes, but he still said, "No need, I’m leaving tomorrow."

He still planned to leave.

Lily was anxious, and she looked at him eagerly, saying, "Sir, I don’t like owing people favors, please agree to let me treat you to a meal tomorrow."

The pleading light in her deep blue eyes shimmered, and Frost Moore looked at her, pausing briefly before nodding.

"My name is Frost Moore."

She also didn’t like owing people favors.

Did this Lily suddenly appear in his life because she changed her way of guarding him?

"Brother Frost, you’re really nice."

Lily sighed in relief after managing to keep Frost Moore.

Fortunately, today’s task was a complete success.

As long as he stayed, her future tuition fees would be covered!

"Is your heart healthy?"

Suddenly, Frost Moore asked.

"Huh? It’s fine."

Lily was slightly startled and touched her heart, replying instinctively.

Frost Moore looked at her for two seconds, then gestured for her to sit on the sofa while he reopened the medical kit.

"Brother Frost, what are you doing? Are you extracting my heart? Are you a doctor who sells human organs?"

Lily widened her eyes and looked at Frost Moore, questioning.

Frost Moore laughed and intentionally said, "Yes, just as you thought. Do you regret running into my room now?"

"Oh, can I still escape now?"

"Too late."

Frost Moore took out the stethoscope and pressed it against Lily’s chest.

Lily blinked, looking at the man up close, his handsome face, a trace of admiration flashed in her eyes.

She hadn’t noticed before, but this man’s skin was really nice, even smoother than a woman’s.

Being so close, his scent carried a hint of disinfectant, yet she found it somewhat pleasant.

Also his lips, with a faint cherry-pink color, looked quite alluring.

"Your heartbeat suddenly sped up, you really haven’t felt any discomfort in your heart usually?"

Frost Moore removed the stethoscope, looking a bit tense as he looked at Lily.

"Huh? No! I’ve always been very healthy."

Lily blurted out, her ears inexplicably warming.

The sudden acceleration was because he was too close to her.

"Tomorrow I’ll accompany you to the hospital for a comprehensive check-up."

Frost Moore said, packing up the medical kit, unconvinced.

He hoped everyone around him was well, without illness or trouble.

Especially no heart disease.

He didn’t want to experience that painful agony again.

"Brother Frost, you’re really good."

Lily flattered Frost Moore.

"Another good guy card?" Frost Moore chuckled lightly.

Lily’s gaze flashed, and she said somewhat sadly, "I’m an orphan, growing up without anyone treating me as kindly as you. I truly wish I had someone like Brother Frost by my side, someone to chat with when I had things on my mind, how lovely that would be."

Upon hearing this, Frost Moore’s eyes showed a hint of pity.

"Don’t be sad, encountering each other is fate. If you need anything, you can come to me."

"But aren’t you leaving?"

Lily looked at Frost Moore, "Brother Frost, once you leave, won’t you be coming back?"

Frost Moore paused slightly, as if pondering something.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Frost Moore was brought back to reality and stood up to open the door.

Room service had delivered the noodles.

"Mr. Moore, your midnight snack."

The waiter pushed in the food cart and respectfully placed the food on the dining table.

Frost Moore tipped him and thanked him.

Once the door was closed, he said to Lily, "Come over and eat."

Lily breathed in the aroma of food, swallowed, and hurried over.

On the dining table, besides a bowl of noodles, there were a few side dishes and some pastries.

All of them were expensive, and even the pastries were particularly exquisite.

This man was genuinely nice.

Lily again wanted to give out a good guy card.

"Brother Frost, won’t you eat a little?"

She not only intended to keep him until tomorrow but also hoped to keep him longer. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

That way, she might get to enjoy meals with him every day.

"I’m not hungry, you eat."

Frost Moore poured himself a glass of water, smiling warmly.

"But I can’t eat so much."

Lily blinked and looked eagerly at Frost Moore.

Frost Moore didn’t usually have supper, but looking at Lily’s eyes, he unconsciously moved over.

"Alright, I’ll help you finish a little."

"Hehe, Brother Frost, you should eat more, you’re too skinny. Work must be hard for you."

Lily served half of the noodles to Frost Moore.

Listening to her melodious voice, Frost Moore felt the air around him freshen.

Warm and comforting.

The Miles family.

Amelia Miles had put the little ones to sleep and tended to Hunter Miles after his medication before returning to the bedroom.

Damon Hawke was in the shower, so she decided to call Benjamin Harper.

He hadn’t returned yet, and she didn’t know how Serena Wells’ situation was.

"Hello?"

The call connected.

Amelia Miles hurriedly asked, "Harper, how is Annie’s mother? Is she alright?"

"Still in surgery."

Benjamin Harper glanced at Serena Wells, whose eyes were red from crying as she sat in a chair, and replied softly.

"Okay, just comfort Annie, tell her not to worry too much, everything will be fine."

Amelia Miles said.

Though she didn’t have much interaction with Serena Wells, she appreciated Serena for previously handing over evidence to Benjamin Harper, making her think Serena wasn’t a fake person.

At least not a hypocritical woman.

"Alright, Elly, the surgery is over, I’ll hang up now."

Benjamin Harper noticed the light above the operating room had turned off and said quickly.

After hanging up, he saw Serena Wells rushing towards the doctor.

"Doctor, how is my mom?"

The doctor removed his mask, his expression tense, "The patient’s condition isn’t optimistic. She has a malignant tumor inside her, and when she had the car accident, her back of the head hit the ground. Bringing her back to life is a miracle. Currently, she’s in a vegetative state, and it’s uncertain if she’ll wake up."

Upon hearing this, Serena Wells’ face turned pale, and her body swayed, almost falling.

"Annie, don’t panic."

Benjamin Harper quickly supported her.

Tears streamed down Serena Wells’ face like rain.

"What should I do? Brother Harper, my mom became a vegetable, what should I do?"

"Don’t worry, as long as she’s still alive, there’s hope."

Benjamin Harper comforted her, "Come on, let’s go to the ward to see Auntie."
