Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Faking a Breakup

"What do you think?"

Damon Hawke stared at her, his expression calm.

Amelia Miles looked at the man who was devoid of emotion and felt bored.

"I know you won’t be unwilling, but I still need to move out."

Is she really going to move out of the Hawke family’s old house?

Damon furrowed his brows, "Why?"

"Because only then can we confuse them and make them show their true colors."

Amelia looked at him, "We’ve just staged a breakup, and I suspect Victoria Don must have gotten involved with Julian Miles. Next week, I’ll be going to Vexia. While I’m gone, you’ll be able to gather evidence on Victoria and Julian’s collusion, as well as Julian’s collusion with Henry Harris."

Damon’s dark eyes flickered upon hearing this.

Indeed, if the Hawthorne kept guarding against Victoria, she’d be much more cautious.

If she’s allowed to get complacent, perhaps things will become much easier.

"Today, the Grant Family’s shipment was taken by the Netherworld Organization. Tomorrow, Julian Miles is bound to question you under this pretense. What do you plan to do?"

Thinking of this, Damon asked.

Amelia blinked, looking at him eagerly, "You’re the culprit, what do you say we should do?"

The woman’s bright eyes carried a playful gaze.

Damon chuckled lightly, "Are you blaming me? Don’t forget, I’m your lifesaver."

"How could I be blaming you? I’m clearly seeking advice from you, alright?"

Amelia said coquettishly.

Damon curled the corner of his lips, contemplated, and replied, "I’ll have my father compensate the Grant Family for the losses. This way, it can make people believe I dislike you, while the Hawthorne are fond of you."

This is a good idea.

Amelia’s eyes lit up, nodding as she looked at him with a hint of admiration.

This is the man she loves.

She hadn’t realized it before, but only when he suddenly lost his memory did she find out she loved him to the core.

She hoped he would remember the past soon and be the Damon Hawke who once revered her so deeply.

The room suddenly became quiet.

Damon met her bright eyes and inexplicably felt a trace of pride.

Being looked at with admiration was very fulfilling.

Seeing a certain person’s expression, it seemed she truly liked him.

Damon’s eyes shifted slightly. He suddenly stood up, his long fingers starting to unbutton the front of his shirt.

Amelia was still immersed in her own emotions.

Watching Damon’s actions, she widened her eyes and instinctively turned her head.

"You, what are you doing?"

Why did this man start undressing without saying a word?

"I’m tired and want to undress to sleep, okay?"

Damon’s lips curled with amusement as his long fingers unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a wide expanse of honey-colored skin.

Amelia blinked at the empty space ahead.

Why was she shy?

They even had children together; they’d done more intimate things before, so what’s the harm in looking at his bare body now?

With this thought, Amelia calmed down and turned to look at Damon.

Damon didn’t expect her to turn around so quickly, and his shirt was half-open.

Amelia got up and walked calmly to him, unabashedly scrutinizing him.

"Hmm, your body is still decent, but it seems you haven’t exercised for a while, huh? You even have a bit of a belly!"

Amelia said as she fiddled with his belt and pinched his stomach.

Damon felt his blood surge for a moment.

He froze for a breath before grabbing her wrist and pressing her onto the sofa.

"Amelia Miles, are you flirting with me?"

The man’s voice was husky, carrying a hint of danger.

Amelia’s pretty almond eyes gleamed with mischief.

"Weren’t you deliberately teasing me first?"

Who started undressing first?

Don’t think she doesn’t know, he’s trying to humor her!

She’s happy to play along!

"The person you hate most is Elara Don, and the person you love most is Victoria Don!"

Voices echoed in his mind again, agitating his nerves.

Damon furrowed his brows and released Amelia.

Amelia’s smile disappeared, seeing Damon’s unpleasant expression, she knew his head was hurting again.

"Tom..."

She wanted to approach and support him, but Damon instinctively stepped back, making her pause helplessly.

Damn Victoria Don, what kind of curse did she place on Damon? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Clearly, he wanted to get close to her, but seemed like a puppet being pulled by strings.

"I’m fine, it’s late, you should go back to your room and rest."

Damon steadied his emotions, giving Amelia a small smile.

Amelia nodded, "Tom, don’t worry. I’ll find someone experienced to restore you to normal."

The woman was filled with determination, small yet full of power that made people want to believe in her.

Damon smiled softly, "I’ll be waiting."

He’ll be waiting for her to make him normal again.

The next day.

"Elly, what did you say? You’re moving out?"

The Hawthorne were surprised to hear Amelia was moving out.

"Mommy, where are you moving to? I want to go with you."

"Mommy, why are you moving out? Is it because there are bad guys around?"

The two little ones were both upset and anxious.

"Elly, is it because of yesterday’s incident? Don’t worry, I’ll handle the Grant Family’s losses, and you won’t be put in a difficult position."

Andrew King glanced at Damon, his brows slightly furrowed.

Why did this kid suddenly order the Netherworld Organization to intercept the Grant Family’s shipment?

Does he truly despise Amelia Miles?

"Thank you, Uncle Andrew, but I’ve already made up my mind."

Amelia smiled, "I’m the Grant Family’s daughter, temporarily staying at the Hawke household without proper status is inappropriate, so I plan to go back and accompany my father."

That’s a very good excuse.

The Hawthorne glanced at each other and sighed, looking collectively at Damon, wanting to say something but unsure.

Damon continued sipping his coffee, his face calm, as if he didn’t notice everyone’s gaze.

Only Victoria Don was secretly delighted.

So, Amelia wasn’t just all talk; she was really leaving the Hawke family.

She had been defeated by her!

This was great.

"Mommy, we’ll go with you."

The two little ones followed Amelia upstairs as she walked.

Amelia paused, crouched down, and hugged the two little ones, speaking softly so only the three of them could hear, "Do you both remember when Mommy went on a business trip to Country F? I need you to act like before, watching over Daddy and the bad woman. Mommy will reunite with Daddy and you soon."

Upon hearing this, the two little ones’ eyes brightened as they exchanged glances.

Of course, they remembered the last incident.

It was when Mommy and Daddy pretended to break up but were actually solving problems.

So is it the same this time?

With this thought, the two little ones were filled with excitement.

Amelia gestured for them to keep a low profile.

The two little ones quickly restrained their emotions, pretending to be reluctant as they watched her.

Amelia ruffled their soft hair before returning to her room to pack.

In the living room.

"Tom, you shouldn’t do this, Elly is the woman you love."

Vinny Hawke spoke with regret and urgency.

Damon wiped the corner of his mouth, glanced at Victoria Don, and said indifferently, "Vivi, let’s go, time for work."

If you’re going to act, act thoroughly.

Let everyone believe he was hopelessly bewitched by Victoria Don.

"Alright."

Victoria secretly rejoiced, quickly following Damon out.
