Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 350: Like a Concubine of Old
The woman’s calm tone carried an unsuspecting intimidation.
Victoria Don was stunned, and after realizing it, glared at Amelia Miles, making muffled noises.
Amelia Miles raised an eyebrow, "Still want to shout? Auntie, is there a basement here? Why not lock her in the basement? Let her reflect in solitude?"
Vinny Hawke chuckled with interest, nodding, "There is indeed. Did you two hear that? Take this madwoman to the basement."
"Yes."
The bodyguards responded, intending to take Victoria Don away.
Victoria Don panicked, widened her eyes at Amelia Miles, and shook her head desperately.
Speaking of the basement, she recalled the night she was locked up at Damon Hawke’s Clear Water Bay Villas.
She never wanted to go to the basement again!
The Hawke Family’s basement must be equally terrifying!
"Wait a moment."
Amelia Miles seized the moment and called the bodyguards to stop.
The bodyguards paused and looked at her.
Amelia Miles approached Victoria Don and asked, "Victoria Don, still want to shout?"
Victoria Don shook her head desperately.
Amelia Miles pulled out the handkerchief from her mouth with a hint of a smile.
"Then be obedient, it’s time to eat."
Victoria Don pressed her lips tightly, suppressing the rage in her heart, and gave Amelia Miles a fierce look from where she couldn’t be seen.
Curse Amelia Miles, she must find a day to kill her!
Third floor.
Damon Hawke’s bedroom.
Damon rested for a moment, waiting for the suffocating feeling in his chest to gradually dissipate before he opened his computer to start searching for information online.
His physical condition was unusual.
Obviously, this abnormality was related to Victoria Don.
What exactly was causing this?
Damon browsed through some medical information but found nothing.
Instead, he came across several pieces of information unrelated to science.
Gu insects, witchcraft, these profound insights might explain his current situation.
Damon’s brows furrowed deeply, and after a moment of thought, he pulled out his phone to send Cole Hawke a message.
"Cole Hawke, tell me, what did the doctors say about my condition?"
Intuition told him the Hawthorne were hiding something from him that morning.
Might as well ask Cole.
"Why are you suddenly asking this?"
Cole quickly replied.
"Am I being controlled?"
Damon paused, his long fingers typing a line.
"Oh, you really are brainy on the left side, figuring it out so soon?"
On the other end of the call, Cole was working in the study room and was quite surprised at the message from Damon.
He continued typing, "The doctors say your condition can’t be explained medically, might be related to witchcraft, needs an expert to learn the details."
Just as suspected.
Damon pressed his lips tightly, momentarily speechless.
If this was true, then he was being controlled by Victoria Don?
That’s why there were two voices in his head the entire time.
Because one of the voices was an idea forcibly planted by someone else.
That’s why he was compelled to follow instructions.
"Damon, I guess you figured it out now, who is controlling you, right? Now you should know who your true love is?"
Cole sent another message over.
Damon stared at it fixedly, Amelia Miles’ image flashing in his mind.
Was she the woman he loved most?
But for now, whenever he thought of her, he couldn’t help but feel disgusted.
"By the way, Elly just took over Miles Corporation today. She said she needs a teacher to learn management skills. Would you like to teach her personally?"
Another message appeared on the phone.
Damon narrowed his eyes slightly, not moving.
Teaching Amelia Miles management skills personally?
But currently, he feels nothing for her, afraid he might inadvertently show disdain.
Hurting her pride.
Beep, the ringtone sounded.
It’s Cole’s call.
Seeing Damon not respond for a long time, he simply called.
Damon came back to his senses and answered the call.
"Damon, where are you now? How did you suddenly open up?" Cole asked.
Damon rubbed his temples, "When did I lose my mind?"
"Ha, isn’t your behavior from the past few days considered mindless?"
Cole teased, and then asked, "What about the question I just asked? Do you want to teach Elly management skills personally?"
Damon frowned, momentarily speechless.
"Silent? Looks like you’re unwilling, huh? Well, given your current state, you find Elly irritating, never mind, I’ll teach her myself. Hmm, I’m quite looking forward to being Elly’s teacher."
Cole noticed Damon’s silence and intentionally said.
Damon narrowed his eyes, recalling the rumors that Cole liked Amelia Miles, his gaze growing darker.
"No need, I’ll teach her."
Upon hearing this, Cole raised an eyebrow, teasingly replying, "Oh, you want to teach her personally? What’s this, getting jealous?"
"No, I’m tired, hanging up."
Damon didn’t want to elaborate further and hung up directly.
He just thought, since Amelia Miles was his woman, he shouldn’t keep pushing her away.
Even though he feels nothing for her now, there’s no telling when the memories will return.
By then, as Cole said, he would surely regret it.
Downstairs.
Amelia Miles waited until the two little ones had almost finished eating, then wiped the corners of their mouths.
"You two, take some food up for Dad."
She didn’t want to trouble the two little ones, but if she went to deliver the food herself, she feared she’d be chased away before even entering the door.
She could only use the little ones as a shield.
Upon hearing Amelia Miles’ instruction, the two little ones nodded in unison.
"Okay."
The mother and two children carried the food prepared by the servants upstairs.
Victoria Don stared blankly, almost breaking her chopsticks. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
She wanted to see Damon Hawke, but with bodyguards watching her, she couldn’t leave under their noses.
She felt like a concubine from ancient times!
Oppressed by the head mistress, only allowed to see the master when the mistress was happy!
Ah, ah, ah!
She was about to explode!
Upstairs.
"Babies, be gentle when you enter, in case Dad’s asleep, don’t wake him."
Amelia Miles brought the little ones to Damon’s bedroom door, whispering these instructions to them.
The little ones nodded, and after Amelia Miles opened the door, they carried the food box and walked in quietly.
The lights in the room were on brightly; Damon Hawke wasn’t resting.
Instead, he was sitting on the sofa reading books.
"Dad, mommy asked us to bring food for you."
The little ones called out crisply, carrying the food box to Damon.
Damon raised an eyebrow, put down the book, and placed the food box on the coffee table.
At the door, Amelia Miles watched from a distance, not approaching or speaking.
Afraid her presence would upset him.
Damon was aware that Amelia Miles was watching him.
Smelling the food’s aroma, he spoke, "Pour me a glass of water."
The little ones exchanged a glance, just about to speak when Damon looked up at Amelia Miles.
"Didn’t you hear? Pouring water is dangerous; kids shouldn’t do it."
