Chapter 334: Chapter 334: Found Someone Just Like the Master

Watching Damon Hawke leave with Victoria Don on his arm, Chase Quinn’s eyes were full of shock.

What did he just hear?

How did the master describe Miss Elara Don?

Vain and materialistic?

Insincere?

How could he say that about Miss Elara Don?

Is this really the master?

Could it be another imposter?

Chase Quinn was stunned for a moment and quickly took out his phone to call Elara Don.

"Miss Thorne, I found someone who looks exactly like the master. I can’t be sure if it’s really him."

On the other end, Elara Don had just left the hospital and was headed to the Hawke Group.

Upon hearing this, she sharply turned the steering wheel and parked on the roadside.

"Chase Quinn, make yourself clear. Did you see Tom? Where is he?"

"He’s in a small village at the foot of North Hill. His demeanor and manner of speaking are just like the master’s. I think he might be the master, but..."

Chase Quinn paused, hesitant to continue.

"But what?"

Elara Don asked excitedly.

"But he’s with Victoria Don, and he doesn’t recognize me. He even said..."

Chase Quinn didn’t dare to hide anything and repeated what Damon Hawke had said about Elara Don.

Shock and disbelief flashed in Elara Don’s eyes.

How could Damon Hawke be with Victoria Don?

If Chase Quinn hadn’t mentioned it, she almost would have forgotten about this person’s existence.

Wasn’t she blacklisted by Damon Hawke?

How did she suddenly resurface?

Intuition told her that Victoria Don held some unspeakable secret in this incident.

Elara Don steadied herself, "I understand, Chase Quinn. Keep an eye on him for me. I’m on my way."

No matter what, she needed to find Damon Hawke first.

Elara Don took a deep breath and hurriedly called Vinny Hawke.

"Miss, Chase Quinn probably found Tom. He’s with Victoria Don in a small village at the foot of North Hill. According to Chase Quinn, Tom doesn’t recognize him."

"What? How could Tom be with Victoria Don? Is this woman up to something?"

Vinny Hawke was immediately agitated and shocked upon hearing this.

"We’ll only know for sure once we get there. I’m heading out now."

Elara Don prepared to start the car.

"Got it, Kyle and I will head out right away. By the way, what about the imposter at the hospital?"

Vinny Hawke asked.

Elara Don pursed her lips, "We can’t be certain if the person Chase Quinn found is Tom, but we can hold the person at the hospital for now. We’ll confront them once we bring Tom back."

"Alright, I’ll immediately have Kyle’s men detain the imposter." Vinny replied.

Elara Don hung up the phone, took a deep breath, and started the car.

Finally, there was some news.

Tom, is it really you?

The village.

Victoria Don signaled the attendant with her eyes, who knowingly made a phone call.

Damon Hawke’s people had arrived, so the imposter at the hospital had to be evacuated immediately.

The attendant at the hospital received the order just as they finished eating outside and returned to the ward.

These days, the elders of the Hawthorne hadn’t visited the imposter, and Elara Don rarely came.

This made them wary.

Moreover, there were unfamiliar people occasionally passing by outside the ward.

In their observation, those strangers were definitely bodyguards.

So, they guessed the Hawthorne had detected something.

Which is why they had George Harris tell Elara Don to be discharged.

Receiving the order, they strode towards the ward.

In the ward, George Harris was comfortably sitting on the sofa eating, ready for discharge.

"We need to leave quickly, I think the Hawthorne knows you’re an imposter." The attendant said with a stern face.

"What? What should I do?" George Harris was startled and quickly stood up.

"Let’s leave first and then we’ll see." The attendant picked up their things, keeping a serious face, and headed for the door.

Just then, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open, and several tall, burly men in black blocked the way.

"Who are you? What do you want?" George Harris swallowed nervously, pretending to be calm.

"Mr. Hawke, you want to be discharged, right? The boss sent us to get you out." The leading bodyguard said in a deep voice.

Their boss, of course, was Andrew King.

George Harris swallowed again and exchanged a glance with the attendant.

The attendant gave him a signal to keep calm.

The two pretended to cooperate with the bodyguards and left the hospital.

As they were about to get in the car, the male attendant kicked one of the bodyguards and ran pulling George Harris along.

"Stop, don’t run!"

The bodyguards chased after them.

The attendant hurriedly got George Harris into a roadside car and sped off.

The bodyguards also got into their car and pursued closely behind.

"Oh no, what do we do now? They’re catching up, drive faster." George Harris sat in the car, anxiously watching the car following closely behind, constantly yelling.

The attendant floored the gas pedal, vexed by George Harris’s incessant noise.

"Shut up, if you keep talking, I’ll stop the car and throw you to them." The attendant shouted.

George Harris was silenced instantly, keeping a watchful eye on the rear.

He knew that if caught by the Hawthorne, he might not survive unscathed.

The attendant was satisfied with the newfound silence.

The car seemed to fly.

A junction loomed ahead.

The green light for straight-ahead had only one second left.

The attendant glanced at the rearview mirror, seeing the Hawthorne bodyguards still tailing them closely.

If he stopped the car, they would surely be caught.

But the red light was already flashing.

The attendant gritted his teeth and turned the wheel sharply, taking a side turn.

The Hawthorne bodyguards obeyed traffic rules and didn’t change lanes forcefully, having to watch helplessly as the attendant’s car turned a corner.

"Great, we’ve shaken them off." George Harris exclaimed excitedly, seeing the Hawthorne bodyguards’ car stopping at the junction.

The attendant was equally smug, flooring the accelerator.

At this moment, a cement mixer truck sped towards them, and the attendant was busy checking if the Hawthorne’s car was still on their tail.

When he realized, the truck was almost upon them.

His expression changed, and he hurriedly turned the wheel.

The car was going too fast, and it veered uncontrollably towards the side barrier.

"Ah! Brake, slow down!" George Harris grasped the handle, screaming in terror.

Scchhh! Bang!

The sound of tires violently screeching against the pavement, followed by the crash into the barrier.

The car alarm blared as it flipped in the air and landed heavily on its side.

The traffic around slowed down.

People were calling for help, others were shouting towards the car.

"The car’s leaking, it’s gonna explode, get out now!"

The Hawthorne bodyguards drove around only to see a spark at the car’s back, thinking of rescuing them.

But before they could approach, the fire spread, leading to a massive explosion.

...

The village.

Elara Don rushed to the address Chase Quinn had provided.

"Miss Thorne, you’re here." Chase Quinn and several subordinates stood outside a small building, awaiting Elara Don’s arrival.

And on either side of the building stood several other men in black.

Glaring intently at Chase Quinn and his men.

"Where is he?"

Elara Don nodded slightly at Chase Quinn, dismissing everything else in her urgency to ask.
