Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 294: Just Want to Kill Damon Hawke
"You still think of him like this? For him, you went to frame Leia Quinn?"
Wright Landers looked at Selena Taylor, a flicker of sinister intent in his eyes.
Selena’s heart skipped a beat as she met Wright’s gloomy gaze, her eyes flashing slightly.
"Miles, I..."
"Don’t tell me it wasn’t you. I have a brain."
Wright interrupted Selena’s words.
Selena opened her mouth, paused for a moment, then gave a charming smile and leaned into Wright’s arms.
Her slender fingers stroked his chest, "Yes, I did it. Are you going to tell your brother?"
The woman’s seductive gaze and teasing movements revealed a hint of provocation.
Wright’s breath turned heavy, thinking of the recent intense battle, his Adam’s apple rolling slightly.
"If I tell him, aren’t you afraid he’ll kill you?"
"Would you really let me die?"
Selena asked coquettishly, her hand slowly wandering over his body.
Wright’s eyes darkened deeply, grabbing her hand tightly, "Selena, what are you? Do you think I would protect a tramp who’s still thinking about another man?"
The strength in the man’s hand was so great it seemed it would snap her wrist.
Selena hissed and looked at Wright, saying, "Miles, I’m not thinking of anyone else. I’m just seeking revenge for our child. If it weren’t for Leia, our child wouldn’t have died. She’s the real culprit."
That was a word well spoken.
It’s clearly her own fault the child is gone.
But Leia Quinn wasn’t free from blame either.
Wright squinted at Selena’s charming face, snorted lightly, "Selena, your ruthlessness is quite on par with mine."
Selena shook off Wright’s hand clutching hers and leaned back into his arms.
"Is that so? So do you like it? I guess you like it because you’re narcissistic."
The woman, full of charm, let her hand roam restlessly over his sensitive areas.
Wright’s eyes continued to grow darker as he lifted her up.
"Selena, you’re really promiscuous."
"Hehe, don’t you like me just like this?"
"Ha, that’s about all you’re useful for."
"..."
Outside.
Craig Landers sped along, driving to the mountain road, the site where Leia Quinn had an accident.
The pitch-black night cast a shadow over the land like a curtain.
The sea rolled with waves, surging up in huge swells.
Craig got out of the car, stood quietly, letting the evening wind lift his robes.
Cindy, my wife, where are you?
Will you come back?
Bar.
Gavin Miles drank one glass after another of alcohol.
His eyes were bloodshot.
"Hey handsome, why are you drinking alone? Let me join you."
A woman walked over coquettishly, placing her hand on Gavin’s shoulder.
"Get lost!"
Gavin brushed her away, leaving the woman sprawled on the ground.
"Ouch."
The woman’s expression changed dramatically, never having met such a dismissive man before.
She got up complaining and left in a huff.
Gavin’s breathing was ragged as he desperately wiped the places the woman had touched.
He gagged twice, staggering toward the restroom.
Gavin leaned over the trash can, vomiting until the heavens spun.
Only when he had thrown up nothing but acid, did he gasp and slump to the side.
The sound of high heels clicking echoed, and someone walked up to him, handing him a bottle of water.
Gavin opened his bleary eyes, looking at the person.
A woman with big, wavy curls was smiling brightly at him.
Gavin looked at her twice, a flicker of distaste and disgust in his eyes.
Then he struggled to get up, preparing to leave.
The woman raised an eyebrow, and as he passed her, she suddenly spoke.
"Don’t you want to punish Damon Hawke?"
The words stopped Gavin in his tracks, and he looked at her sharply.
He knew this woman; she was once a famous actress, Victoria Don.
She used to be Damon Hawke’s fiancée, but later...
"Young man, I was also terribly hurt by Damon Hawke. We have a common enemy. Come, I’ll take you to meet someone to discuss how to deal with him."
Victoria Don curved her lips in a smile and spoke lightly.
Gavin looked at her for two seconds, "How do you know I want to deal with Damon Hawke? Are you investigating me?"
He had secrets that no one knew and hated being spied upon.
"Young man, I didn’t purposely investigate you, but when closely monitoring Damon Hawke’s every move, I accidentally peeked at your secret."
Victoria chuckled lightly, "But rest assured, we are allies in the future, so your secret will remain a secret and won’t be revealed."
Upon hearing this, Gavin paused for two seconds, "Lead the way then."
James Lee was dead, so whether his secret was revealed didn’t matter.
All he wanted now was to kill Damon Hawke!
If someone shared this wish, that meant they were his friend!
Victoria curved her lips and led Gavin into a private room.
Inside the room, the lights were dim. A middle-aged man leisurely savored his drink while listening to a woman sing.
Seeing Victoria lead Gavin over, he signaled the singing woman to leave.
"Second Master, young Mr. Miles is here."
Victoria sat next to the man, speaking coquettishly. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The man patted her hand in satisfaction and looked toward Gavin.
"Young Mr. Miles, hello, please sit."
Gavin did not know the man in front of him, but he sat down as instructed, "Who are you?"
"Let me introduce myself first. My name is Henry Harris, I used to be the second-in-command at Netherworld Organization, but now I’ve chosen to work independently."
Netherworld Organization?
Gavin had heard of it, an organization in the underworld.
He nodded slightly to Henry, "What do you plan to do by asking me here?"
"We want you to join us to take down Damon Hawke together."
Henry signaled Victoria to pour Gavin a drink.
Gavin accepted the drink Victoria handed him, listening as Henry continued.
Henry raised his glass and clinked it with Gavin’s, "You’re Mr. Grant’s son, and Miles Corporation is a reputable enterprise. I think we could take over the Hawke Group together. What do you think?"
Upon hearing this, Gavin paused in his action of drinking.
Swallow Hawke Group?
But he’d never been involved in business affairs.
And this Henry Harris seemed to be trying to trap him.
Their operations couldn’t see the light of day, so they wanted to use Miles Corporation’s name?
If it were before, he wouldn’t bother.
But now...
"I haven’t been involved in business affairs, but I will talk to my dad and start working at Miles Corporation."
He didn’t need to understand business affairs.
He just needed someone to join him in taking down Damon.
To avenge James Lee!
"Good, straightforward, I like men like young Mr. Miles."
Henry was very happy and raised his glass, "To our successful collaboration, let’s drink up."
Gavin said nothing, clinking glasses with Henry, and drained it in one go.
Henry put down his glass and laughed heartily, "Since young Mr. Miles is so forthright, I’ll give you a big gift."
He gave Victoria a flick of his eyes.
Victoria understood, got up, and went to the door, clapping three times.
