Damon Hawke accompanied Evelyn Miles for another afternoon of shopping.
Listening to Evelyn’s rambling voice, she was recalling their past, but he was thinking about bits and pieces with Elara Don.
The day was almost over. Did she think about him?
Probably not as much as he thought about her, right?
After all, in her heart, right now, apart from the children, what she’s probably thinking about is her mother’s death.

Damon knew this would happen, but said nothing.
After all, he was the company’s CEO, and there were always lots of matters to handle.

"Damon, something happened to Elly! Just call back already!"
