Daddy Always Gets Jealous-Chapter 127 Many first times (1)_1
Change into another outfit?
What clothes should I change into?
Che Huan bit her lip as she stood there, looking at Huo Jinnan. She couldn’t possibly change into his clothes, could she?
Then there was the dress she was wearing—it was too eye-catching, too recognizable. If seen by others, it was likely to stir up trouble, and her effort to avoid notice all night would have been in vain.
She turned her gaze to Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed slightly as he glanced at Che Huan and left the room.
Shortly after, he returned with a set of somewhat mature women’s clothing. "This is my mother’s. You should be able to wear it."
His mother’s?
She had no idea how he broached the subject.
"You have only half an hour, unless you want to stay here another night," Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette and walked to the balcony, gazing at the scenery outside.
Che Huan looked at his retreating figure and quickly picked up the clothes to enter the bathroom.
In two minutes, she changed and came out holding the dress she had been wearing.
Huo Jinnan looked down at the dress in her hands.
Che Huan glanced down at the dress in her hands, "This was bought by Gu Jizhou. I need to return it to him."
Just as she was about to put it in her bag, Huo Jinnan took it from her hands, "I’ll have Qin Shaojin return it to him."
Che Huan hesitated for a moment, then let go. It didn’t seem like a bad idea; it would probably be less smooth if she went to return it herself. Being misunderstood to have something to do with Lawyer Qin was a lot better than being involved with Mr. Huo!
Huo Jinnan, holding the dress, slipped his arm around Che Huan’s waist.
Che Huan took a deep breath and repeatedly hypnotized herself: Che Huan, you are his mother now, you are his mother!
And just like that, Huo Jinnan embraced her waist all the way through the backyard and out of the Huo Mansion.
The car was already parked there.
Huo Bei, upon seeing them, quickly opened the door to the rear driver’s side.
Che Huan got in the car and glanced at Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan’s gaze lingered on her, "Gu Jizhou’s people might be staking out Dongsheng Garden. Where are you going to go?"
Che Huan bit her lip, "I’m going to my uncle’s place."
Huo Jinnan directed his gaze to Huo Bei in the driver’s seat, "Take her there."
He casually placed Che Huan’s dress on the front passenger seat, "Give this to Qin Shaojin. Tell him to hand it over to Gu Jizhou, and also give him a check for a million."
"Yes, sir," Huo Bei responded, taking his place behind the wheel.
A check for a million?
Che Huan frowned on the side, murmuring softly, "I don’t have the money to pay you back."
Huo Jinnan looked down at Che Huan, "No need to pay it back."
Che Huan’s face flushed as she argued, "This has nothing to do with me. It’s your own decision to give it to him."
Huo Jinnan didn’t say a word, his long fingers closing the door of the rear seat.
Che Huan glanced out the car window, briefly meeting his overly deep eyes before hurriedly shifting her gaze away, her hands uncomfortably resting on her legs as she faced forward, towards Huo Bei at the wheel.
The thought of a million dollars hurt; that was a lot of money. The dress was expensive, but it really wasn’t worth a million!
If it were someone else, she might shamelessly think to take the check for herself, pay Gu Jizhou the original price of the dress, and keep the rest of the money.
But he was Gu Jizhou’s uncle. Better not, she thought!
Suddenly she remembered the last time he compensated her for the dress and shoes. She hadn’t accepted the check, lamenting her brain lapse at that moment, as she regretted being at odds with money!
...
After an unknown amount of time, Che Huan came back to her senses. By the time she looked back, she could no longer see his figure; it seemed she was already far away from the Huo Family.
Huo Bei drove the white Porsche straight towards Wen Family’s direction.
Che Huan looked in Huo Bei’s direction. Wouldn’t it be too abrupt to suddenly turn up at her uncle’s house?
As she thought about it, she called Wen Nuan, "Nuannuan, are you home?"
