Dante had followed Finn’s actions through Spatial Awareness, and once all the children were moved, he gave the command to bring out 2-4 and stepped onto the battlefield, riding a wave along the way.

He had donned the Type’s level 5 just seconds ago, having used it to launch the ship across the air, but decided to switch to the Level 4 armor for the real fight. The armor itself looked like a mechanized version of his new Diving avatar—a human shark hybrid with a smooth, light blue exterior and several retractable fins. It was more compact compared to other armors of its level, save for the slight bulge on the back, which made it appear as if he had a hunchback. The dorsal fin sticking out of it didn’t help that image. The armor’s helmet was its most distinctive feature and looked like the head of a shark, with the plating arranged into the shape of jagged teeth.

With the faint glow of the cloudy sky reflecting on its sleek plating, Dante appeared like a malevolent aquatic monster rising from the depths to rain chaos on land. The fighting stopped as the wave that carried him crashed onto the concrete floor with a loud splash.

Dante walked forward with slow, firm steps. His presence demanded attention, drawing it from his subordinates and granting them the chance to escape. He had provided them with instructions beforehand, telling them to retreat when he appeared.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible for them to leave the docks for the time being, since he had used 6-6 to set up a barrier around it in case the heroes decided to intervene. At most, they could hide near the edge, staying away from the center of the battle.

Once they were at a safe distance, Dante turned his focus to the enemy. It wasn’t that he was ignoring them before, but it was only now that he registered them as targets and released his hatred from its restraints. In that moment, his rage crashed into them with the weight of a gigantic waterfall.

"Krueger..." the rugged looking ship captain spoke, his eyes locked on Dante’s imposing form. "Is that him?"

"And how the hell am I supposed to know that?" The skull-faced man replied, the teeth tattooed over his mouth trembled along his nervous smile. "I heard nothing about this..."

Leisurely raising his hand, Dante held his palm forward. The ocean responded to his command, rising into wobbling pillars that stood behind him for a moment, then they surged, shooting forward as torrents blasted through miniature holes.

Three pillars, each aimed at a particular target. The first was for the skull face and the captain beside him. Another was aimed at the gangsters armed with rifles, and the third went for the man emitting a pink glow.

Water moving at such a speed was more solid than liquid, and being struck with it was no different from crashing into a bullet train moving at top speed. Those without significant bone enhancements had their skeletons pulverized, along with everything else. The pseudo-Genome was able to get out of the way, miraculously surviving the cruel fate at the small cost of his left leg.

Dante paid them no mind as all his attention was on the skull face and his captain friend. The two didn’t have the chance to escape, or it might be more accurate to say they hadn’t tried. The Black Skull lieutenant might have been frozen with fear, but the same couldn’t be said for the old man.

Ahab had his hand held in front of him, fingers pointing up, with the pinky the farthest from him. It looked like he was offering a one-handed prayer, and the water responded, parting in front of him and rushing on either side, sparing him and the skull face its force.

The cars behind them weren’t so lucky, getting blasted away like toys kicked by an angry child. The torrent seemed like it had no end, and that seemed true for the most part. Its source was the endless ocean, after all. The only way to make it stop was to attack the one commanding its force, and thankfully, those who had any chance of beating it were already on the move.

The first to reach Dante was a man drunk on the power of his bulging muscles. He fell from above, bringing his fists down in a hammer strike. Another geyser shot out of the water and blasted him midair, but maybe because his endurance was higher than a normal human’s, he was able to remain in one piece.

An attack from above might have been a bad idea, but it served as a good enough distraction, allowing another one of the pseudo-Genomes to get close. The blue demon swung a metal arm he had plucked from one of the hexapod robots, using it as a makeshift club. Dante was forced to dodge this time, and that gave his opponent a confidence boost, leading to him chaining several more swings.

Dante took a step to dodge the club, then hopped back, evading another attack. Lines appeared on the ground at his feet, as if something had clawed through the wet concrete he was stepping on. In the corner of his eye, he spotted a man with arms covered in scales, his clothes and hair fluttering wildly as if he were standing at the center of a storm.
