A few minutes passed before Riot ended his chat with the officer. It just so happened that the two knew each other, so the conversation was much friendlier than what the start might have suggested.

"Apparently, it's the third place that got hit this week," Riot said as he climbed back into the truck. "This one was discovered a little early, so the bastards didn't get to clean it before the cops showed up."

"No wonder…" Blowing out a breath, Dante tapped the window two times. The car moved right after. "Anything else?"

"They suspect that this is related to a different case," Riot said. "Several adult men who are thought to be clients of Black Skull had been found dead in their apartments. They had been subjected to some insane torture."

"Let me guess, things got shoved through their backdoors?"

"That and their limbs were sawed off a little at a time."

"She expanded her skill set, huh…"

Having watched her work, Dante knew exactly what Rose was capable of. He didn't judge her for it, of course. The problem was the sloppiness with which she was handling the matter. Striking three spots back to back was bound to alert her target, and with how easy it was to connect the dots, it wouldn't be long before they trap her one way or another.

Riot popped the cap off a beer bottle that looked small in the palm of his hand.

"I'm afraid to ask what kind of friend you have," He said before bringing the bottle to his mouth.

"The kind who picks a fight with a big gang but doesn't ask for backup…"

Clearing his field of view, Dante brought up a couple of new screens and looked through them. One had a map with several marked locations. Another showed a list of profiles. The list changed depending on which location on the map he was focusing on.

'Have one droid watch each of these,' He thought aloud, selecting three locations that appeared relatively close to each other. 'Also, look for anything that can give us a visual on the streets surrounding them.'

[Understood,] Volcan replied.

"Crazy," Riot said. "All of you are crazy."

The muscular man didn't take it easily when he heard that Dante had been trying to take down Black Skull. He was even more shocked when he heard that Finn had killed Jaguar and that the Daggers were currently under their control.

"And here I thought you were just some no-name punk," Said Riot. "Things are starting to make a lot more sense now."

"We're just…" Pausing, Dante glanced out of the window, then frowned. "Duck."

"What du-"

Riot tried to follow his line of sight when his eyes suddenly shot wide open. He dropped down, and right away, the windows shattered as a storm of gunfire blasted right above their heads.

Lying down, Dante clicked his tongue. The truck wasn't stopping, and since they hadn't crashed, he assumed that the driver was okay. Their attackers must have realized that, which is why we were still driving by their side.

Activating Absolute Awareness, Dante saw them reload their weapons and prepare to shoot again. He was about to equip his pistol, but then he caught sight of the beer bottle Riot had dropped.

The attackers readied themselves and aimed their rifles. The skull tattoos they had spoke of their identity as Black Skull goons. Just as they were about to fire, Dante's red hair flashed in front of their eyes. His arm extended out of the car, and at the end of it was… nothing.

Dante held out his hand as if he were pointing a gun, but there was no gun, only his finger. In the tension of the situation, no one saw the small yellow drop floating at the tip of that finger. With one corner of his mouth slightly raised, Dante said one word.

"Bang!"

His hand jerked back as if by a powerful recoil, and the yellow drop shot out, piercing one of the goon's eyes and blasting the back of his head, scattering brains on the ceiling of their car. His friends were momentarily shocked, but then they turned their attention back to the truck and opened fire once more.

With a grin on his face, Dante ducked and looked down at the beer bottle in his left hand. He held his right palm over its mouth, then pulled up. A portion of the liquid at the bottom rose up, gathering into a sphere the size of one's fingertip. He placed it at the tip of his finger.

Looking up, he sensed the location of the enemy with Absolute Awareness, and with his back still pressed against the door, he raised his right arm and pointed out of the car.

"Bang!"

The drop of liquor shot out at an unimaginable speed, and just like the first, it pierced another goon in the eye, blasting his brain out of the back of his head.

"What the fuck."

Riot watched with wide eyes as Dante loaded another yellow drop. Yesterday, after the 4-3 module was damaged during his short sparring match against the big guy, Dante had swapped it with the 2-3's module, which was still equipped until now. Type 2 specialized in water and liquids, and 2-3's module had two abilities: Hydrokinesis and Hydro Pulse.

Dante didn't have many chances to use the abilities of his armors outside training. When things got serious, he always relied on his favorite types. In this situation, using a normal gun would have been way more efficient, but Dante wanted to play around a little.

"Bang!"

First, he used Hydrokinesis to compress some of the liquor as much as he could. Then, using Hydro Pulse, he created a small blast on the compressed drop, releasing a huge amount of force in a single spot. The compressed drop shot out with the force of a tank shell, and anything that happens to be in its way is pierced instantly.

With the brains of three goons blown out, the enemy realized that they were in over their heads and decided to take the opposite turn at the next intersection. Dante wasn't about to let that happen, however. Loading another yellow drop, he leaned out of the window and pointed at the fleeing car.

Anyone looking at him would think he was just aiming a finger gun, and they wouldn't be exactly wrong. With one of his eyes closed, Dante focused on the spot where the driver's seat should be, then put all his remaining energy in one last Hydro Pulse.

"Ba-"

BAAAMM!!!

The yellow dropped out with such force that it shattered the sound barrier, creating a small sonic boom. By the time the sound was heard, the drop had already pierced the enemy car and painted the windshield red with the driver's brain.
