The whole place fell into silence while everyone kept their breaths in their lungs.

No one talked nor moved but simply stared at the human boy's figure in front of them with eyes and complexions that held and showed nothing but utter disbelief!

Everything became so quiet that right now if a pin would be dropped onto the ground, it was very likely everyone would notice it with trim to no difficulty!

"Did... Did he really slay that creature with a single arrow just now?" a creature that was unable to resist asking his question any longer finally asked, his gaze fixed on the dark crimson bow in Khal's hand.

That question was like a loud scream at the bottom of a snow-covered mountain, immediately starting an avalanche. One by one everyone snapped out of their daze and the previously silent surroundings were quickly filled with whispers and murmurs.

Some bolder ones even ran next to the slain beast, hoping to see if they really have seen things right and it was truly at the Ascender Stage or not.

But alas, once they were close enough, just by looking at the bird's humungous size and its feathers which shone with the glow of steel whenever light fell on them, they didn't need anything else to know that the beast was indeed an Ascender Stage existence.

"What kind of bow is that? Where did you buy it?" almost every being quickly surrounded Khal as they asked one question after another, mainly about the weapon in his hold.

Although it was an extremely big feat for a Limit Breaker to be capable of killing a beast at the Ascender Stage, they still believed it was all thanks to the bow in Khal's hand, an item that was extremely powerful, maybe even being a Spiritual Weapon!

"I have gained it from one of my friends," Khal replied briefly with a calm smile and unsummoned his weapon, turning it back into its ring shape which now rested on his right ring finger.

When the creatures saw how Khal put his bow away many turned disappointed but still continued their questioning with seemingly no rest. They even ignored the fact that they were currently inside a terrifying dungeon where three of their comrades had been just killed!

'Are they idiots or simply got blinded by greed?' Khal thought in his heart, feeling that the way these beings behaved in a place such as this dungeon where Ascender Stage beasts could be lurking every corner was somewhat foolish.

It was almost like they had not even the slightest clue what danger really meant, thus why they were acting the way they were at the moment.

"Okay, that is enough." Astro who watched everything from start to end walked to Khal's side and looked at everyone with a sharp glare, "Let's concentrate on our goal and the reason why we all have come here."

Every creature around Astro immidieatly quietened down and took several steps back, their faces changing in a flash from burning curiosity and greed to dead seriousness! 𝙛𝑟𝑒e𝘸𝑒𝗯𝘯𝗼𝘃el.𝒄𝒐m

"Perfect. Please, don't forget where we are currently. Although it was stated that it was very unlikely that there will be any creatures on the first three floors as they had been cleared already, it does not mean you can relax. As you can see, three had already been killed in a split second just because they thought there won't be any danger threatening their lives on the first few floors."

Upon hearing Astro's words the complexion of everyone only turned even more solemn while the silence for some reason became even heavier as they realized Astro was indeed telling the truth.

Just because a simple report stated there won't be any beasts on the first few floors, it did not mean they should lower their guards and act casually. As they have just seen it, three have already fallen into the clutch of death despite not even taking more than three steps!

Furthermore, if it would have been any of them who entered the dungeon first, they were pretty sure they would have ended up with the same miserable end as those three; with inevitable death! 𝘧𝑟𝘦𝒆w𝚎𝙗nov𝘦𝗹.𝐜o𝓶

Khal watched the faces of each creature and couldn't help but praise Astro for slapping everyone back to reality.

As he has already asserted this before, they were not on a vacation but on a mission where death could easily claim any one of their lives at any given moment!

'At the very least they are listening to what he says.' Khal thought nonchalantly in his heart and followed Astro and the rest from behind.

As for Darla and Senior Lin, they did the same but after witnessing what had just happened with the three Limit Breakers they made sure to remain as close to Khal as possible! It was pretty apparent that neither of them wished to risk the possibility of getting killed without even knowing what took them away from the living to the dead!

The group walked through the azure and white frozen landscape with vigilant eyes, approaching a small pillar in the distance which was seemingly the bridge between the first and second floor!

However, not even reaching the halfway point between the entrance and that tall pillar, the group was forced to a complete halt as the ground below their feet suddenly began to tremble while a creature with a height of at least five meters emerged from the ground!

"It's an Ice Dawdler and at the Middle Phase of the Ascender Stage!" Astro shouted as he raised his sword in his hand and quickly added, "Get in formation, we will take it down together!"

Instantly, all the beings summoned their weapons and activated their Blessings before all of them began to attack the humungous creature that looked like a fat spider with a body that seemed to be carved out of azure ice.

"You... won't help them?" while everyone was attacking the creature and defending against its attacks that seemed to be some kind of toxic webs that corroded everything it came into contact with, Darla glanced at Khal who watched the whole sight from a safe distance with his arms casually crossed before his chest.

"Why should I?" Khal raised a brow when he heard the question and said, "If I join, I am pretty sure I would just ruin their fun. I will just stand here and watch them."

"You..." Darla's cherry lips parted to say something but when she realized she was unable to say anything closed them and remained silent.

She slowly started to believe that the Khal she met for the first time and the current Khal who now stood on her side was two, completely different individuals! Although they were looking the same, their demeanor and aura were completely different!
