Cultivation Daddy-Chapter 89: First Day of School (2)
After 30 minutes of driving, they arrived at their first destination. Before they even landed, they could already see how crowded the place was.
Flying carriages started to arrive from all sides. Most of them weren’t as flashy as the Li family carriage. But they all look very expensive and high quality. There were also many carriages parked on the ground. The gates were wide open as students and families entered.
Li Jain parked the carriage and stepped out with the children. Li Jingsheng was very excited to finally be at school. The interior was as crowded as expected, students were standing in long lines, younger students with family members.
Li Jain also got in line, but the line was moving very slowly.
"Excuse me, what are the lines for?" He stopped an elderly woman and asked her politely.
She blinked at him then smiled: "During the first day of school, students need to line up to receive their assigned classes scheduled."
Li Jain nodded and thanked her.
They continued to wait, but the line was really slow. After waiting for 15 minutes, he was a little worried. He didn’t mind waiting but if they stayed much longer, the going to other Academies would be late.
Li Yujian noticed his father’s worries and hesitation, he turned and said to him: ’’Father, we can manage on our own. You should leave with the others first."
Li Jingsheng also nodded in agreement: "If you wait here long enough until we preach the right, they’ll be late for sure."
This was clearly the best option, but Li Jain shook his head after a brief thoughts: "I can’t leave you here like this without knowing things are settled"
Although his children are smart and capable, they were just 12 and 7. He can’t possibly leave them when he himself doesn’t know what’s going on. He just has to think of a way to make this work.
Just as Li Jain was thinking how to handle the current situation, he saw a figure approaching him with a smile.
"Mr. Li, Good to see you again." Instructor Han said with a smile
"Good to see you as well, Instructor Han " Li Jain politely returned the greetings.
instructor Han looked at the children around Li Jain that bears some resemblance to him and asked: "Are these you men yours?"
Li Jain smiles: "Yes, they’re my buns."
Instructor Han stares at the combination of the top 3 Academies and bursts out laughing: "Interesting, you truly are an interesting fellow."
"Instructor Han" Li Jain smile helplessly
Instructor Han looked around and quickly figured out the situation: "Let me guess, you are worried about the others being late.."
Li Jain admits it with a sigh: "I didn’t expect things to be this crowded."
Instructor Han looked at the long unmoving line and sighed: "Only today and tomorrow would be like this. After everyone gets settled in, it will calm down.’’ he lightly pat Li Jain on the shoulder: "Luckily I ran into you. I’ll take it from here, you can leave now. Don’t worry, they’re in good hands."
"Thank you." Li Jain finally relaxed and thanked him sincerely.
"Well guys, happy first day of school." Li Jain said and opened his arms, inviting the two kids to hug him. He gave them a warm bear hug.
The two were startled and looked awkwardly at their father. Then they shyly hugged him back.
"Study well, and don’t push yourselves recklessly." Li Jain pats their backs affectionately.
"We will"
Li Jain left with the others after saying goodbye.
Instructor Han places his hands on each boy’s shoulder and walks forward, obviously cutting in line: "Come on, I’ll make sure your schedules are handled properly."

They rode off to Vermilion Sword Hall, which was no better in terms of the crowd. The gates were wide open and the noise from inside could be heard in the street.
Li Jain was about to enter with his children when he was stopped by the security guard.
"Good morning Sir, only students of the Academy are allowed to enter through the gate." He said looking at Yuhan, Zhan, and Jingxuan.
"Today is their first day here." Li Jain explained
The security guard was also helpless: "I understand, but once the children are dropped off, parents must leave immediately.Don’t worry, the staffs inside will arrange for them according"
Li Jain nodded: "Understood."
He turned to the three, before he could open his arms, he was pulled in by them. The three were hugging him tightly.
"Daddy’s going to miss you. Don’t expect the first day to be fun."
"Don’t jinx it, father." Li Zhang pout
"Use your brain as much as your strength, don’t cause trouble for Father." Li Cheng commented from the back.
"You’re not Father, why are you more worried?"
After they separated, Li Jain waited for them to enter. The three turned and ran through the gate. Only after they got mixed with the crowd did he leave.
Li Jain exhaled sharply and returned to the carriage with the remaining two buns.

Moonstone was really a scholars’ Institution. Even with all the crowds, it was still orderly and quiet. There were no students who were running or jumping around, and no loud conversations either.
It didn’t seem like the first day. From the entrance , there were signs guiding students. The school courtyard was divided into sections, the Healing right and Combat Students on the left.
Within each division, there was further distinction, grouping by age.
"Take Juanxin, I’ll leave first." Li Cheng said his goodbye and left, following the guiding signs.
Juanxin, seeing that his brother wouldn’t be with him as thought, hugs Fluffy tighter.
"Ready?" Li Jain asks as he takes hold of Juanxin’s hand
"Let’s go." Juanxin swallowed hard and nodded
They walked together towards the healing side, joining the line of the younger students who were standing with their parents. Some children were already with their parents trying to persuade them.
Li Juanxin boldly stopped an instructor that was passing by.
"Oh, good morning, little One" The instructor smiled at him.
Juanxin smiled shyly: "Hello." He bowed down and greeted respectfully.
The instructor chuckled softly: "What’s your name?"
Juanxin answered happily:"I’m Juanxin!"
The instructor smiled: "Welcome to Moonstone, Juanxin. What can I do for you?"
Juanxin immediately remembered why he stopped the man and said uneasily: "This is my friend, Fluffy. Can I have him with me today?"
The man can see the expectations in Li Juanxin bright eyes, unfortunately, bringing pets or contracted beasts is against the rules.
The instructor frowned and said: "I’m sorry little Fellow, but pets and contracted beasts are prohibited on campus."
"But Fluffy has a contract with me. I just need to have him nearby, I promise he won’t run around and make trouble." Li Juanxin tried to plead.
The instructor thought for a bit but still shook his head. Rules here are very important and they can’t just make considerations randomly.
"Daddy, I don’t think I want to go to school anymore. Let’s go home, ok?" Li Juanxin looked up at his father with tears in his eyes.
"What?" Li Jain was surprised by the sudden turn of event
Li Jain looked up at the instructor and smiled apologetically; then knelt down to match Juanxin’s height: "What’s wrong? I thought you were excited to come to school."
"Not anymore, I want to go home with you." He sobbed as he looked pitifully at his father.
"Come on, don’t cry. Although you can’t have Fluffy with you at school you can still play with him when you get home. School only lasts a few hours a day, you’ll still spend the most time home." Li Jain smiles: "Besides, you also have your brother here."
"He’s not going to be in the same class as me." Li Juanxin shook his head repeatedly.
"Didn’t you go on a mission alone with Liu Xiong? You can do this." Li Jain encouraged him.
Li Jain thought about it and nodded. It wasn’t that long ago when he went with uncle Liu to find the spirit fruit to save his father’s restaurant. But...But...
"I wasn’t too scared because I’m used to uncle Liu. But there are so many people here, and I don’t know anyone" Li Juanxin wasn’t convinced.
Li Jain thought about it and understood what happened, Li Juanxin probably hadn’t had many interactions with strangers, so all those unfamiliar faces scared him.
Although Li Jain has taken many measures to prevent this from happening, it didn’t work.
"Look, that’s how life is. If you don’t adapt and meet new people, how are you going to be familiar with them?" Li Jain scans the surroundings and points to the few children that were being comforted by their parents:
"Look at those little friends, they are also scared, but they ’re brave enough to face everything with confidence. You have to be brave too, so you help Father later."
Juanxin nods and wipes away his tears with his sleeve: "Okay dad, I’ll try harder. But... can I go home later if I still don’t like it here?"
"Tell you what, if you complete this week and still don’t want to go to school I’ll immediately withdraw you."
"Ok," Li Juanxin smile brightly, making a pinky promise
Li Jain was relieved, right then, a small mocking voice was heard from the side.
"You girls are not brave enough to come to school, always crying behind your Dad’s back. Haha." A ginger like hair boy sneered
Li Juanxin turned to the boy that spoke and scolded: "Who are you? Are your eyes for decoration? Can’t even tell I’m a boy! Don’t pretend to be brave, you cried so loudly earlier people thought you were dying. If your mom hadn’t threatened to take away your toys, you wouldn’t be so calm now!"
The boy obviously didn’t expect to be scolded like this was at a loss. He was even exposed and his entire face flushed. Before he could speak back, his mother came and dragged him off.
"Come on, the line is moving"
Hmph! When have the Li kids ever been bullied without fighting back?
"Daddy, I think I’ll be fine after all." He told Li Jain as he held his hands close
Li Jain smiled and shook his head helplessly.
