Cultivation Daddy-Chapter 133 - 132: The Guest Brought Trouble.
Li Yujian was in good spirits when he woke up. Because he was stuck in bed for the past two weeks, apart from absorbing the venom, he also circulated his spiritual energy.
Now, with his body mending and his spirit rejuvenated, he felt reborn. Who would have thought that by having a poisonous bloodline, he would be able to absorb poison into his body and refine it into spiritual energy? He could sense the spiritual energy surging through him like a river finding its way back to the sea
Li Yujian was tempted to go hunting another snake and absorbing its venom, but he quickly got rid of the thought. He doesn’t want to anger his father again.
Li Yujian swung his legs over the side of the bed, the cool wooden floor grounding him in reality. He flexed his fingers, testing their dexterity, then stood, swaying slightly before steadying himself.
Li Yujian: "Well, I’ll go take a quick bath before heading downstairs."
During the times he was bedridden, his dad used to give him a bed bath every day, which was really embarrassing for his age.
"Do hurry up, we are about to have dinner." Li Jain urge
"Ok," Li Yujian replied.
Li Jain returned to the kitchen and made a quick hangover soup for Li Zhen. The soup was very effective; after drinking the soup, Li Zhen immediately sober up.
Li Jain was pleased with the results and served the other dishes. Li Yujian arrived just in time and took his seat. As soon as his siblings saw him, they greeted him endlessly:
Li Cheng: "Eldest brother, you’re awake."
Li Jingsheng: "Elder brother, how are you feeling?"
Li Zhang: "Eldest brother, what kept you for so long?"
Li Yuhan: "Jian, you finally decided to come out!"
Li Juanxin: "Eldest brother, it’s good to have you back."
"He’s always been here, idiot." Li Jingxuan interrupted
"He has been confined in bed for two weeks. Shouldn’t I welcome him back for being on his feet? You idiot!" Li Juanxin made a face at him.
Li Yujian looked at the two with questioning eyes, Li Cheng caught his glance and shook his head. It seems that he had missed a lot during his bedridden. Li Juanxin is being more active, outgoing and acting his age.
The fact that he can down argue with Li Jingxuan is a lot of improvement. After all, they are both the same age. Li Yujian felt warm in his heart, all of this is thanks to their father. All of them were forced to grow up too early because of their situation. But now, things have changed, they no longer have to think about survival.
"What did I miss?" Li Yujian picked up his chopsticks and asked
"Father’s been keeping us busy, and lots of delicious foods. But we have been keeping all the good stories for you." Li Zhang responded with a grin
Li Yujian raised an eyebrow, and leaned forward with interest: "Good stories, you say? Do tell."
Li Zhang’s grin widened as he glanced at his brothers: "Okay, so first, remember that old cat that always hangs around the neighborhood?"
Li Jingsheng interjected: "Yeah, the one with the missing ear that Xuan brought back?"
"Exactly! Well, Father decided to start feeding it, and now it practically lives on our porch!" Li Zhang said excitedly
Li Juanxin added with laughter: "Last week, the cat stole sixth brother’s fish! And now, he wants to get rid of it, can you imagine?!"
The table burst into laughter. Li Jingxuan cheeks flush red and give his brothers annoying looks.
"Alright, let’s eat before the food gets cold." Li Jain said and they began eating.
Li Yujian was too busy with his brothers to notice the new guest. After they were done eating, everything was cleared up. They still remain at the table.
"Uncle Zhen, what brought you here?" Li Yujian asked curiously.
"Do you know him?"
"You know him?"
Li Cheng and Li Yuhan asked at the same time.
"Yea, he and father used to hang out together. Every time I meet him, he’s either asking for money to go drink or for some other favor." Li Yujian explained.
"Is that the impression you have about me, kid?" Li Zhen laughed, he has a very thick skin: "Can you believe this, Jain?"
Li Jain: "..." Of course he believed it. After all, he doesn’t have memory of their previous encounters, so he can only rely on that information.
If this Zhen person is only here for money, then that would be good. Li Jain can’t wait to send him on his way. The kids don’t like him, and he seems like a bad influence.
"Anyways, I’ve run into a bit of trouble and will be staying here for a few days."
Li Jain exchanged glances with his sons: "Trouble? What kind of trouble?"
Li Zhen leaned back, crossing his arms with a smirk that didn’t quite reach his eye: "Just a little misunderstanding with some... associates. Nothing for you to worry about, though."
Li Zhang leaned closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret: "Are you sure it’s safe for you to stay here?"
Li Zhen waved a dismissive hand, but the unease lingered. "Trust me, boys, I can handle myself."
’Lies! it’s all lies!’ Li Yujian’s voice reaches their heads through sound transmission.
’What do you mean, eldest brother?’ Li Cheng asked in alert
Li Yujian: ’He is a big gambler! He has gambled away everything he owns! Everyone knows about him in South River City. If there’s a problem, then it’s with the gambling association. Which is really dangerous!’
’Will we be in trouble by letting him stay here?’ Li Juanxin asked worriedly
Li Jingsheng: ’We can’t let him stay and drag us into his mess!’
’Sheng is right!’ Li Zhang nodded, adding: ’We can’t have trouble here and definitely can’t have him hanging around dad!’
Li Jingxuan: ’This guy is bad news! A really bad influencer!’
’I knew something wasn’t right with him the moment he entered!’ Li Cheng felt a knot tighten in his stomach.
’Then what do we do?’ Li Yuhan asked
’Let see what dad does first.’
Li Jain frowned, sensing the tension in the air as his boys discreetly exchanged worried glances: "Wouldn’t it be better to go back home to solve your issues?"
Li Zhen shook his head and said seriously: "No, isn’t that easy. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come here, to this remote place."
"But Qingyang Town is not remote." Li Yuhan tried to give him a hint.
"True but compared to South River City it is. I travel through three other cities and many small towns before getting here. It’s very remote."
"What kind of misunderstanding do you have with this association, exactly?" Li Jain asked.
Li Zhen hesitated: "It’s just... business. When the chase is over after a few days, I’ll leave."
"Chase? Are you being Wanted?!" Li Zhang exclaimed
Li Zhen raised an eyebrow: "Wanted is a strong word. Let’s just say, some debts are harder to pay than others."
"Do you need help with your debts?"
Li Zhen thought Li Jain was just being nice, but he knows what he did, and he knew it wasn’t something that could be paid back with a small amount of money or even with money. Also, he doesn’t want to accept help that could draw them into a tumultuous tide he had no intention of unleashing upon them. But just by hiding here he had already included them.
The room fell silent; the tension was thick.
"Ok, boys. It’s time for bed. You guys have school tomorrow." Li Jain said to his children.
"Zhen, the guest room is ready, you can sleep there tonight. We will have another talk tomorrow."
"Thanks, Jain." Li Zhen nodded.
He couldn’t go back to his home. Apart from not wanting to put his family in danger, he was also kicked out. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The children were dismissed and went back to their rooms. They were very worried, not about Li Zhen the so-called uncle. They were worried that this uncle would put their dad in danger.
Li Jain also went to sleep; he didn’t know much about the Li Zhen situation. He wasn’t afraid that it was going to implement him.

The next morning was a new day. Their children were getting ready for school while Li Jain made their breakfast.
Li Jingsheng hands Li Yujian a big notebook: "Here, eldest brother. You can have this."
"What is it?" Li Yujian took it and opened it and was surprised: "You took notes for me? But we aren’t in the same class."
"I paid someone to help me." Li Jingsheng blushed, a grin spreading across his face.
"Thank you very much, you’re the sweetest." Li Yujian picks Li Jingsheng up into a hug.
Li Jingsheng was very happy. As his role model, Li Yujian recognition means a lot to him.
After dinner, the children were dropped off one after another.
Li Jain had just got back home when a huge commotion was heard outside. It seems like a group of people were making trouble outside.
