Cultivating with Bragging System-Chapter 415 - 226: Cuba: Fight for Territory? Better to Take Wang Xiu! (7200 words)_4
"Those bigshots from the Demon Realm have their concerns, too. This man’s identity is questionable, and there’s no guarantee he isn’t an undercover agent from the Righteous Path, trying to bait us!"
"An undercover agent for the Righteous Path? You can’t be serious. This guy is more demonic than any demon I’ve ever seen! I suspect he’s from the Demon Realm himself. His Demonic Techniques are terrifyingly powerful, and he slaughters people like pigs..."
"He could never be an undercover agent!"
Discussions like this were happening all over Heishui City.
Wang Xiu’s Demonic Techniques were simply too powerful. When he used them, Demonic Qi billowed out, blotting out the sun. That wasn’t something you could fake. Furthermore, his methods were ruthless—more demonic than the demons themselves. He killed on sight.
Even cultivators from the Righteous Path, when vanquishing demons, would at least tell their victims what crimes they had committed so they could die knowing why. But Wang Xiu was different. He was a veritable god of slaughter.
Anyone with a discerning eye could see that Wang Xiu had cultivated several extremely powerful secret techniques of the Demonic Path, all to an exceedingly high level of mastery. It was impossible to cultivate Demonic Path techniques to such a realm without committing a few atrocities that even the heavens would find unforgivable.
This was the greatest difficulty for any agent of the Righteous Path trying to infiltrate the Demonic Path. Once you successfully blend in, it becomes nearly impossible to keep your heart pure. And even if your heart remains pure, your body is no longer clean.
...
"They were all killed? So quickly?"
The major demonic sects soon received the news and were all shocked. Although they hadn’t sent their strongest experts, cultivators like Young Master Baiyun were by no means weak, yet they had been slain instantly.
"He’s incredibly arrogant, bloodbathing half of Heishui City and shouting challenges at us from a distance!"
"At this point, the possibility of him being an undercover agent for the Righteous Path seems slim."
"If that’s the case, what’s the harm in meeting him? Let’s bring some good offerings. We don’t have to make a deal right away; we can watch how he trades with the others first." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
After some discussion, the members of the Black Heaven Sect resolved to go. The group, shrouded in shadow, made their decision.
"My, what a decisive man... It makes a girl’s heart flutter~"
Within the Hehuan Sect, a Charming Demon licked her crimson lips as she stared at the Imaging Stone before her, her eyes filled with lust. Her body, with its explosive curves, was draped in a single, thin veil that did little to conceal her exquisite figure, offering only tantalizing glimpses.
"This boy doesn’t seem easy to handle, and who knows what other tricks he has up his sleeve. You must be careful. Or perhaps... I should accompany you?" Behind a hazy curtain, an exceptionally alluring figure with breathtaking curves lay languidly on her side.
That was the Sect Master of the Hehuan Sect, a woman who hadn’t shown her true face in ages and was a master of the arts of yin and yang. Yet, when it came to raw sex appeal, she had to admit she was no match for the Charming Demon before her.
"Hehehe, he’s just a human. No matter how strong he is, how strong can he really be? Besides, he’s a man..." The Charming Demon giggled coquettishly, her proud figure twisting as she slowly vanished into a Transport Array.
"He’s only one person. He can’t stir up too much trouble. It’s worth taking a look."
The other major demonic sects also sent members of the Demon Race, bringing along a large number of elite experts.
However, they all had a tacit understanding: none of the sect master-level figures from the major demonic sects made a move. Powerhouses at or above the Saint Manifestation Realm also remained inactive. They were the cornerstones of the various demonic powers and would not act rashly. Once they did, it meant being prepared for a war to the death with the Righteous Path. Now was clearly not the time.
As the news spread, the nearly dead-silent Heishui City came to life again. More and more experts converged on the city, a sign of the brewing storm. Every so often, another demonic sect would arrive, led by powerful experts from the Demon Race, causing a fresh stir with each appearance.
But for all the commotion, the Demonic Path operated with its usual caution. At some unknown point, a vast, invisible array had been cast over the area, sealing it off from the outside world and preventing any information from getting out. There were undoubtedly spies from the Righteous Path in Heishui City. Before the trading concluded, all methods of sending messages would be blocked. Communication Tokens were the first to be rendered useless.
A crowd swarmed the ruins of the pavilion. Everyone watched from a distance as Wang Xiu leaned against a pillar, his eyes closed as if he were resting, while they whispered amongst themselves.
"Kid, it’s a real pity you’re not a demon!" a voice echoed from within Wang Xiu’s body.
It was Emperor Guba.
Wang Xiu hadn’t refined him, but had merely sealed him away for the time being. After all, a cheat like this that could endlessly generate experience was too valuable to lose.
"You think I could become a demon?" Wang Xiu asked in return.
"Your methods are more demonic than any demon’s!" Emperor Guba sneered. He had watched as Wang Xiu unleashed various Demonic Techniques to brutally slaughter countless Demon Cultivators. Now, he was even digging a pit for the major Demon Race clans, letting them willingly leap into their own graves. These pathetic demons were still oblivious, likely thinking they were in control of the situation, completely unaware of the monster they were about to face.
"I’m targeting your people, yet you don’t seem angry?" Wang Xiu asked curiously.
"My people? Hahaha! The Demon Realm has countless bloodlines, and the major clans have been fighting amongst themselves for millennia without end. What ’people’ are you talking about?" Emperor Guba scoffed.
Wang Xiu had learned a great deal from him about the complex political landscape of the Demon Realm. Still, he’d thought that since the major demon clans could unite to invade the Cangyuan Realm, they must have some sense of an alliance.
"But if they fail, won’t your plan to invade the Cangyuan Realm be put on hold?" Wang Xiu asked.
"Let it be put on hold. What’s the big deal?" Emperor Guba retorted, sounding completely unconcerned.
According to Guba, the Demon Realm was vast, and its inhabitants often discovered spatial rifts and passages leading to other, lesser worlds. Whichever demon clan found such a passage would immediately launch an invasion. This was commonplace in the Demon Realm; its people were born for war and slaughter. But... in the end, what was the purpose of all this conflict?
"Ultimately, every race is just fighting for its own space to survive," Emperor Guba lamented at that moment, sounding like a philosopher. The Demon Realm was vast, but it was home to innumerable factions. For each individual clan, space and resources were finite. That was why they waged war.
But now, Emperor Guba had an epiphany. He’d realized a more direct path.
As long as I can assist Wang Xiu in taking his rightful place, then when he returns as the Demon Emperor, he will surely unify the Demon Realm just like in the old days, and no one will dare to disobey. What’s more, Wang Xiu is a human, born and raised. He has no roots in the Demon Realm, which means my Nether Demon Clan can *be* his foundation! If that happens, the Nether Demon Clan will go down in history as the great clan that produced a Demon Emperor! This is a legacy that will last for eternity! When you get down to it, isn’t that what everyone is fighting for?
Emperor Guba now saw things with perfect clarity. All these power struggles among the demons were superficial. The future of the Demon Race truly rested with Wang Xiu.
As for whether Wang Xiu would actually become a demon, Emperor Guba wasn’t worried in the slightest. After all, this is a man who can condense the Emperor Demon Imprint and has mastered countless supreme demonic techniques! If a man like that doesn’t become a demon, then this world has gone truly mad!
"You refuse to admit it now only because your own mind holds you captive," Emperor Guba declared. "But fate will reveal the answer in the end... You are destined to become the one and only Demon Emperor for all eternity!"
Wang Xiu stared into Guba’s sincere eyes, momentarily speechless. Damn it. This guy’s stopped bragging about himself and started flattering me instead! The problem is, the System doesn’t give rewards for flattery!
...
"Are you the one who wishes to trade with us?" an eerie voice called out.
Wang Xiu looked up. He was surrounded by a chaotic swarm of demons, their towering Demonic Qi swirling around him as countless Demon Cultivators formed a tight circle.
The transaction was finally about to begin.
