Chapter 111: Chapter 110: Trap (Part 2)

He was about to finish his prayer and take action, but unexpectedly, before he could finish speaking, Victor, who had his arm severed earlier, suddenly stumbled forward two steps and then fell to his knees with a thud!

"Spare, spare me! Great Angel! I, I am willing to betray the Wizard! I am willing to join the ranks of the Gods!" Victor wept bitterly, his face full of extreme fear and despair.

He spoke rapidly, pleading incoherently like a machine gun: "I am willing to provide all kinds of intelligence on the Wizards! Their weaknesses! Their strongholds! I’m willing to say anything! I’m willing to kill these two heretics to show my sincerity! Just spare my life..."

He looked extremely pathetic and terrified, as if truly broken by the pain of his severed arm and the threat of death, his face unusually pale from pain and blood loss.

Seeing this, the Blood Angel sneered, intending to mock the pathetic defector a bit more.

However, a sudden sense of danger inexplicably surged to his mind at that moment!

His face instantly turned furious.

He saw that Victor, kneeling on the ground, now had a strange smile on his tear-streaked face!

As Victor raised his head, a vacuum blade exuding a terrifying aura, carrying a silent cutting power, howled towards the Blood Angel’s head!

Under Victor’s clothes, a necklace that had always hung around his neck now quietly lost all its luster, turning into a pile of ashes.

This was Victor, relying on his acting skills, taking advantage of the Blood Angel’s complacency and mockery to gain a brief moment, pouring all his Spiritual Power to launch his trump card!

Unfortunately, the gap in strength between the two sides was too huge.

"Hmph!" The Blood Angel snorted coldly.

With a casual wave of the longsword in his hand, a flash of blood-colored sword light swept past, instantly deflecting the terrifying vacuum blade, shattering it into countless tiny streams of air.

Then, the Blood Angel simply relied on his own momentum, a surge of Divine Power erupted like a flood, instantly sending Victor flying!

"Puff!!"

Victor spewed blood wildly, flying backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the rock wall, making a teeth-chattering thud, then slid to the ground, his life and death unknown.

The Blood Angel was about to raise his hand to finish him off, but suddenly felt an indescribable stiffness in the joints of his limbs and the connecting points of the four huge wings on his back!

He looked down and discovered that his joints and wings had somehow become covered in a dense layer of tiny Ice Crystals.

These Ice Crystals were not the cause of the freezing; on the contrary, it was because of the uncontrollable coldness within his joints that they were formed.

These cold sensations were like a malignant tumor clinging to his bones, small but obstructing the smooth flow of Divine Power within him.

He swiftly turned his head following the Energy fluctuations, looking towards Amy’s direction.

Amy, too, looked pale, sweat dripping from her forehead, clearly having exhausted all her strength to unleash the sudden freezing ability!

Although Amy often used the Fireball Technique in normal times, it was merely because Fireballs were "useful" in most situations.

Being a Genius who had independently constructed a Witchcraft Model, the model she built was far more complex and exquisite than it appeared on the surface.

In fact, hers wasn’t a simple "Fireball Technique" but rather the combination of Fire Elemental Basic Magic with her own Alchemy and Extraction Technique, through which she independently constructed a more profound "Heat Manipulation"!

Usually, she could absorb the surrounding heat to condense a Fireball, but in critical times, she could also reverse it by absorbing heat from others’ bodies, resulting in a freezing paralysis.

However, the gap between Third Level Creatures and a First Level Wizard was immense.

Even when Amy exerted all her strength, she could only achieve this short moment of freezing paralysis.

This minuscule coldness was quickly melting under the impact of the vast Divine Power within the Blood Angel, almost vanishing altogether.

Yet just in the instant when the enraged Angel was expelling the cold within, he immediately sensed unprecedented severe danger.

He swiftly turned his head to find Jeming holding a massive crystal ball that was glowing brightly, aiming it straight at him!

Blood Angel instinctively raised his now-flexible arm, swinging his longsword to send a slash imbued with Divine Power howling towards Jeming!

However, just as the powerful slash was about to near Jeming, he found Jeming sporting a "cunning" smile.

Then, the radiant crystal ball was surprisingly retracted by Jeming with a cheerful smile.

And the terrifying slash containing Third Level power was blocked an inch before Jeming’s body by an invisible barrier that appeared out of nowhere!

The barrier looked transparent but was indestructible; the Blood Angel’s slash caused ripples upon it yet couldn’t penetrate!

"Idiot, that was just to distract you!" Jeming looked at the shocked Blood Angel and taunted.

With that, he opened his other hand, revealing two already dimmed Fourth Level Defensive Witchcraft in his grasp.

"You despicable Wizards!" Blood Angel roared furiously, whirling and swinging at Amy and Victor again.

But the two blood-colored sword lights were intercepted by the transparent barrier in front of them!

Seeing the mix of relief and mockery in Amy and Victor’s eyes, the Blood Angel suddenly realized, extreme anger and humiliation flashing in his eyes.

He understood!

Victor’s "plea," Amy’s "freeze," and Jeming’s pretentious "Attack-type Witchcraft"; everything was to buy time.

Just to buy even less than a second of distraction, allowing Jeming to trigger and envelop them with the Fourth Level Shield from the Fourth Level Defensive Witchcraft, capable of withstanding his attack!

Seeing this, Jeming also couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

The gap between Third Level Creatures and a First Level Wizard was enormous!

The opponent could far exceed their reaction limit even without using full strength.

One might say, in the previous situation, if not for the Blood Angel’s underestimation, by making a move in an instant, the trio wouldn’t have had the chance to activate the Witchcraft before being annihilated.

Everything Amy and Victor did was to buy Jeming the time to activate the Fourth Level Shield!

And everything Jeming did, including those taunting words earlier, was to draw the Angel’s attention, giving him time to activate other Witchcrafts to cloak Amy and Victor with the same Shield!

The Blood Angel displayed extreme anger; he knew he had been played by these three "insects."

But he soon calmed down.

After such a long period of battling those Wizards, he was well aware of their situation.

Shields made from such "Special Magic Items" were limited in duration, unable to last long before disappearing.

"Once the time on your little tricks runs out, I will make you pay!" the Blood Angel spat coldly.

Yet Jeming didn’t care at all; he didn’t even bother responding to the Blood Angel’s harsh words.

For he was now focused on another task.

The Angel, at this moment, finally noticed that behind Jeming, there appeared countless fingertip-sized crystals from who-knows-where.

The quantity of these crystals was staggering, emitting a faint glow, swarming out from Jeming’s spatial plane like a swarm of bees.

Under Jeming’s powerful Alchemy manipulation, these over a thousand Attack-type Talisman Witchcraft artifacts unfolded behind him at a visible speed, quickly arranging and combining to form a giant ring several meters in diameter.

As the ring unfolded, the Blood Angel attempted to attack.

Yet he discovered that when Jeming initially released the Shield, he had already expanded its range significantly, enough to envelop and protect all the Talisman Witchcraft artifacts behind him as if he had anticipated reaching this point.
