Chapter 99: Chapter 98: Agreement

Drake protested saying, "How the hell is that Equal contribution? I have to pay 95% while the rest of you only need to pool together 5% and you call that ’Equal contribution’? Who the hell even thought you Math, Einstein or the freaking Terminator, because it sure as hell wasn’t Equalizer?"

Drake was completely outraged.

Honestly speaking, Drake could shoulder the bill and he wouldn’t really care. It’s just that, the way it was so readily designated to him annoyed him a little.

Peter shook his head with disappointment, "Come on Boss, don’t be like this. First you were being stingy, now you’re being a miser and you’re even going so far as to involve the Math teacher into this. What are you teaching the younger generation?"

"I’m teaching them to detect Bullshit and stand against it" Drake returned.

"Fine, I admit defeat. Nobody cares if we’re using Pythagoras Theorem or the law of inverse proportions here?" Peter said raising his hand in surrender.

Drake facepalmed and asked, "Do you even hear the rubbish your spouting, how are you even a straight ’A’ math student."

Peter puffed his chest out proudly, "Simple, I stick close to Paul and copy whatever he writes."

"Hold on, you did what?" Paul suddenly stopped him.

Peter scolded him, "Paul shut up, the past is in the past. Just because Archimedes has only one principle while Isaac Newton has four laws doesn’t mean Newton is smarter."

Drake was speechless and so was Paul,

Drake finally realized his mistake in trying to argue sense with this guy. This guy really was the epitome of shamelessness.

"Anyway back to you Boss. Like I was saying. You’re our Boss, shouldn’t you be more magnanimous and have all our best interests at heart?" Peter turned back to Drake and reprimanded.

Drake snorted, "Best interests my foot. You’re just saying that because you aren’t the one who has to pay 95%."

Peter raised his palm in a gesture to stop, "We’re using words here not numbers. Also stop focusing on the little things, we need solutions. And since you’re so against everyone else’s ideas then why don’t you bring a suggestion?" he said.

"You want me to make a suggestion? Here’s one!" Drake bristled. "Why don’t we all just buy the raw ingredients and cook the food ourselves."

Everybody instantly shut up and the whole room descended into silence. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"Hey that’s not a bad idea." Monday said with a pondering look.

"Yeah we can simply hunt for magic beasts and cook them ourselves." Wednesday nodded.

But Paul shook his head, "That’s a good idea, but It won’t work." Paul then further added on saying, "The academy is currently under lock down until the start of next month."

Peter nodded, "He’s right. With the academy on lock down, we can’t leave. And the only place where we could hunt magic beasts would have to be the Fallen city. But the Fallen city doesn’t open until there’s Survival training which won’t be for the next few days."

"Why don’t we just buy the Magic Beast meat from the academy then? They should sell it right?" Thursday tuned in.

"We could do that."

"But now we’re left with a different problem, we can’t cook!"

Paul informed, "Sylvia can cook."

"Yeah, Sylvia can cook." Peter said absentmindedly. But then he realized what he just said and froze.

"Sylvia!" They all called out and their eyes lit up.

"It’s useless! If we’re the ones asking, Sylvia will never do it."

"What? Why not?"

Paul sighed, "Long story short, we once called her cooking trash when she had just started learning to cook."

He continued, "At that time she promised she would have her revenge on us, but we never knew that little grudge was something big and just laughed it off. A year later, she conjured up something that should probably only be called the ’Food of the gods!’ I swallowed my tongue that day and almost even swallowed the plate if it weren’t for mom stopping it."

Peter clenched his fists tightly, "Who would have thought that after she made us have a taste of that dish, she would refuse to cook anything else for us no matter what we did or how we begged." he said through clenched teeth.

He remembered how pathetic they looked at that time and the proud smile Sylvia had at the time.

"As your punishment for mocking my cooking, you will never taste another thing made by me ever again." was what Sylvia had said

"We were only playing Goddamnit! How would we have known that women could be so petty at our age at that time?" Paul roared in a grieved voice. It was obvious just how pained he felt.

Peter patted Paul’s arm "Man it brother, you must not show weakness, I know your pain" he consoled and encouraged him.

Drake stood up, went over and placed his right hand over Paul’s shoulder. "It’s alright Brother, I understand your pain. I myself am also a victim of the unforgiving heart of a petty woman. For now you can just leave this mission to me." he said.

"Are you sure Boss? We could just tell the girls about our broke problem." Thursday asked, he felt like they would be overblowing the issue by having Drake ask Sylvia.

"Absolutely not!"

"Out of the question!"

Peter and Paul instantly interjected opposing the thought. This surprised the Wolff Brothers as they didn’t see what was so wrong with this.

Peter shook his head and explained, "We can’t let the girls know we’re broke, it would make us look bad. Plus it’ll also be bad for Boss’s image.

Paul added, "I understand what you were thinking to make that suggestion, I myself am also reluctant to do this. However, As much I wish to save Boss as a trump card this has to be done, it’s the only way."

The Wolff Brothers considered it and agreed.

Peter turned to Drake and asked, "Boss, right now exactly how many Mage Points do you have?"

"I’ve got exactly 3732 Mage Points." Drake replied.

Peter nodded and pondered, "That means we have about 4000 Mage Points, if we pool together all our wealth together."

"Will it be enough?" Paul asked.

"It’ll have to do." Drake said, "Transfer your Mage points to me, the girls should be here any minute now."

They all quickly made their preparations.

Drake suddenly asked, "Hey, how come you guys are suddenly so broke? I remember that after Survival Training you guys each had about 3500 Mage Points."

"We spent most of it on the Cultivation rooms." Peter said gritting his teeth.

"Cultivation rooms? What’s that?"

Paul also turned to Drake at his time, "Oh yeah, we never told you about that."

After Paul’s explanation Drake finally understood.

As it turns out, there was a reason all mages wanted to join Mage academies. It wasn’t only because of the reputation they would have, but also because of one special luxury that only students of the academies enjoyed.

The Cultivation Rooms!

These were as stated a special set of rooms built by the academies that assisted with raising ones cultivation.

The Cultivation room was built with special materials containing massive amounts of Magic energy. The whole room could lock in large amounts of magic energy that would assist any mage in raising their cultivation.

It costs a thousand Mage points for one hour in the Cultivation room. As for how much you progressed in that one hour, it was up to your own efforts and fortune.

Apparently, the twins had already gone into the cultivation rooms twice yesterday and today during training with Commander Seth.

"Hold on, you went into the Cultivation Rooms during training under his orders and he made you pay?" Drake found this incredulous.

Peter complained, "I know right. Alpha academy is absolutely unreasonable. They won’t even pay for our expenses during training. So stingy!"

"But wait just a second, if you spent 2000 Mage points on the Cultivation Rooms, then what happened to the rest?" Drake thought he was missing something.

Paul said not revealing everything, "We learned some skills at the library. And did some other stuff."

"They spent the rest on dates." Friday said his Brothers hastily clamped his mouth shut.

"What, who told you that nonsense. Don’t listen to them Boss they don’t know what they’re saying." Peter denied while trying to keep a straight face.

Drake suddenly looked like he was in deep thought. "Hmm, now that I think about it now that I have so many Mage points I think I should maybe visit the Cultivation rooms. And maybe I should go on a few dates too." he said.

The twins and the Wolff Brothers felt chills run up their spines.

Paul scratched his head with a cheeky smile plastered on his face and said. "Haha, calm down Boss, don’t be upset."

"Upset? Who me? I’m not upset." Drake also smiled back naturally.

Sunday and his Brothers also stepped forward, "Yeah, Boss I suddenly think it’s not such a good idea for us to be sending you on errands. Why don’t you give us the Mage Points. Let us do all the menial tasks like doing the shopping for the ingredients and stuff." Sunday said while the other Wolff Brothers nodded

Are you kidding they couldn’t let him splurge all their Mage points or they would all starve.

"No no I can do it. It’s just some shopping." Drake said refusing to hand it over.

...

Cassandra, Sylvia and Sophia finally arrived at Dorm D7 and pushed the door open.

They were instantly shocked by the sight before them.

The whole dorm looked like their had just been a tornado in there and Drake stood facing up against the other nine.

The best part was that they all had their magic powers active and their powerful auras soared through the roof.

Sophia asked, "Umm, are we missing something?"

Drake and the others magic powers all instantly vanished and their auras calmed when they heard her voice.

Drake slowly turned and grinned at the girls, "Hello ladies, I was just expecting you."

"You were?" Sylvia raised an eyebrow she found that hard to believe.

"Of course I was just having a talk with the rest of the boys. Let’s go somewhere else while they clean up. I know, let’s go get dinner, my treat." Drake waved at the guys behind him then led the girls away.

The Twins and the Wolff Brothers had despair in their eyes when they saw that last evil smile Drake directed at them before leaving with the girls.

"What now?" Friday asked.

His Brothers all glared at him and he quickly shut up. He knew if it wasn’t for his blabbing none of this would have happened.

Peter and Paul simply sighed.

"Now we pray he doesn’t overdo it." Paul said.
