Chapter 363: Shred the Agreement
One of his hands was under her head so that she could use her bicep as a pillow. The one settled on her ass. πrπβ―ππππππeπΉ.cπ°π¦
"It's early," he whispered against her shoulder, kissing the skin there. "Go back to sleep."
"'kay," she mumbled, already halfway there. "Feel free to wake me up like that any time you want."
He chuckled throatily as he rubbed her ass. "I shall keep that in mind." fπΏπ²eπeπο½ΰ«¦πππ.com
Mo Qingchen had worn her out thoroughly. She had only one thought before she drifted back to sleep.
'I wish my life continues like this.'
When she woke up next, she was saddened to find the bed next to her cold. She wasn't surprised, though. She knew Mo Qingchen had to work in the morning, and she definitely didn't want him to neglect his business because she had shown up on a whim.
She stretched and rolled onto her back, actually enjoying the dull ache in her groin. It reminded her of her husband and the way he had loved her at night. She sighed as she extended her arms out, reaching to grab his pillow.
She was surprised to find a piece of paper on it. It was a small white paper, folded in half and propped on the pillow. She picked it up curiously and brought it to find a few words written in Mo Qingchen's handwriting.
[Good morning, my goddess. I'll be back soon. -Your Qingchen.]
It was simple and sweet. The words burned into her soul. 'My Goddess.' 'I'm yours.'
She smiled contently as she pressed the piece of paper against her heart and closed her eyes, letting the warmth of love sweep her away.
Another special piece of paper she would forever keep in her purse.

On their flight back, Mo Qingchen suddenly spoke up. "Oh. I have something for you. Before I forget." He reached into his pocket and pulled out his pendrive.
She watched curiously as he walked over to grab his bag. He thumbed through it for while after taking out his laptop. Finally, he pulled something out and held it out to her.
"What is this?" she asked as she took them.
"This is the copy of our prenuptial agreement."
Qian Meng looked on confusedly. "It is? Why do have a copy of it with you?" she asked.
He smiled. "After putting the journal page in your hand, I knew that I had to do something about our agreement. I want to revise it. We should sit down and go through it item by item to revisit every detail. I am sure that everything regarding the financials remains the same, but the boundaries we created before we had feelings for each other⦠let's just throw them out."
Qian Meng was more than happy to leave everything about their finances just as it had been. As people with businesses, it was in their interest to protect themselves no matter how much they loved each other. It was the dynasties they had built from the ground up. It was a matter of understanding one another, pride in what they did, and making sure that they functioned as a financially stable and equal couple.
By changing the agreement, their relationship could move to the next level, free from the bindings of a time when they were not invested. The agreement dictated the clothes and the social appearances, restrictions she didn't want either of them to have if they didn't want to go along.
Their agreement would be like any normal couple. She would love that.
"Well, do you want to go over it now? Just destroy it."
He smiled. "This will have no legal standing when the new one is notarized. But I thought you would get a kick out of shredding it. It's the only copy remaining apart from the one you have. Let's destroy every trace of it."
Somehow, that was so nice to hear. This felt like a material way to say goodbye to the old for good.
"This is really exciting," she laughed as she stood up.
"I hoped that you would think so." Qingchen sat down and waited for her.
"Thank you for giving me the honor of shredding it," she said as she gripped the thick stack of paper. "That was considerate. What about you? Are you going to press delete forever on your laptop?" she asked.
He nodded. "I knew you would get a kick out of it. You seem like the violent type," he teased with a wink. He gestured for her to go forward.
She took the binder clip off the papers. Just as she was about to rip the first of the pages, she turned to her husband. "This feels ceremonious. It's a big deal, right?" she said to him.
"It is," he agreed.
"It means a lot to me to get rid of this. It feels like our relationship is completely different now. You are doing this for my peace of mind, aren't you?"
He was silent for a few moments. "Our relationship has changed for a long time regardless of this paper. It's just a paper. But it feels symbolic. It is a representation of us moving on and being a couple in all senses of the word."
"It does make me feel secure in the progression of our relationship," she told him immediately. "You really know what I am thinking now, don't you? When did you turn into a mind reader, Mr. Mo?"
He nodded.
Qian Meng stretched to place a quick kiss on his lips and then she turned to the papers and separated one, feeding her fears into the action of ripping them into so many pieces that not even a word could be read.
Mo Qingchen inched closer to her and placed his hands on her shoulder. He kissed the top of her head and smiled. Every time she tore at the paper, she felt herself relax a little more.
When she finished shredding all the papers, she felt Mo Qingchen nudge her affectionately.
