Chapter 189: Double-Length Chapter

These days, Mia Sutton has been quite comfortable at home, except... she doesn’t understand why Jensen Sterling has also been at home a lot.

Mia is sitting cross-legged on the sofa playing a game, when Jensen comes out of the room. She instinctively looks up at him; he’s already changed out of his loungewear and looks ready to go out. Mia asks, "Are you heading out?"

Jensen adjusts his clothes, "Yeah." After speaking, he pauses for two seconds, turns his head to look at her, and slowly asks, "Do you want to come with me?"

Mia: "Where to, what for?"

Jensen: "A friend’s gathering. Are you interested?"

Mia imagines a private room full of people she doesn’t know, rowdy and chaotic. After simulating the scenario in her head, she promptly makes a decision.

She looks up, smiles, and says, "No, you go ahead."

She prefers lying around at home to going out.

Hearing this, Jensen pauses for a moment and says okay.

Mia stops and suddenly thinks of something, looking up at the person not far away: "Jensen, aren’t you guys going to eat?"

Jensen nods slightly, "Yeah, anything you want me to bring back?"

Mia tilts her head and thinks, "I feel like having some crayfish, can you bring some?"

Jensen chuckles softly, "Sure, anything else you want?"

"Then bring me a milk tea when you come back, any flavor, I’m not picky. Oh, make sure to add extra tapioca pearls."

Jensen watches the little girl hold up her finger to gesture ’one’, and says okay.

...

Mia watches him leave, thinks of her food, feeling satisfied, then looks down and is dumbfounded. Her eyes blink slowly, and a few seconds later, she suddenly curses, "Holy shit!"

She’s dead. On the phone screen, her hero has gloriously died under the opponent’s tower, and her teammates have started cursing: "Does Pixie even know how to play? Can you stop messing this up if you don’t know how to play!"

"Are you handless or what? Get out of the tower without minions, are you just standing there to let the tower kill you?"

"Is this another saboteur? Bad luck!"

"I’ve been losing several games in a row. If we lose this game too, I’m reporting Pixie."

Mia: "..."

Alright, it was her fault. She starts typing on her screen: "Sorry, I just had a lag spike, didn’t mean to do it."

Right after she sends it, a teammate replies: "You’re the 108th person I’ve heard saying that."

Mia: "..."

Forget it, no point in talking, better to just play properly.

Once her hero revives at the crystal, Mia controls Pixie to leave the tower and hides in the bushes in mid-lane. As soon as the opponent’s mid-laner approaches, she casts her skills consecutively, perfectly taking down the enemy Vexia.

Mia proves herself, then gleefully turns around to clear a wave of minions.

She can still do it; after all, she has been playing for a while. She’s not a total newbie or a saboteur.

Her teammate sees this: "Wow, that was nice, looks like you really were lagging earlier."

Mia: "Of course."

But Mia barely enjoys a few minutes of happiness when she’s suddenly ganked by Byron Lee, who appears out of nowhere and takes her down in just two hits!

Mia is dumbfounded, where did he even come from?

In the following minutes, Mia displays an array of creative ways to get killed in the canyon, no matter where she goes, she gets taken out by the sudden Byron Lee. Even Mia’s calm demeanor can’t help but feel frustrated: "Byron Lee, can you kill someone else, why do you have to keep targeting me!"

After a few seconds, the opposing Byron Lee lazily replies: "Oh, it’s because you killed my wife earlier."

Mia: "..."

"I only killed her once, you didn’t have to kill me so many times."

The opposing Byron Lee: "Oh well, she has a partner, if you had one too, they could come and kill me."

Mia: So what if you have a partner, she has a husband too, damn it.

In the end, Mia’s team loses gloriously.

In the next few games that Mia plays, she encounters a couple in almost every match. Is today not her day with couples? Finally, fed up, Mia just turns off the game.

Seeing the time, it’s about right; she needs to start a livestream. Since their group was just formed, there are many things to handle and coordinate, so there hasn’t been much work. To maintain their popularity, each of them is required to start a livestream, and Mia has delayed it until the last day.

She initially planned to play a few rounds of games and start in a happy mood, but it turned out she’d have been better off not playing.

Mia gets up to wash her face, doesn’t bother putting on makeup, and comes out to look for a spot.

Since it’s a livestream, she can’t expose too much of her home, internet users have eagle eyes that spot everything.

Mia finally moves a small table in front of a little sofa, places her computer on it, and opens her livestreaming software.

Once everything is set up, she posts the livestream link on her Twitter. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Mia: Nothing to do, come chat in my livestream.

As soon as she sends it out, a large crowd immediately floods into the livestream room.

[Here we are! We’ve missed you for so many days!]

[Finally, you’re on air, I was wondering why you and Lynn Joyner were the only ones not live yet, I thought we were going to be stood up.]

[It wasn’t in vain that I kept pestering you on Twitter every day.]

[So, darling, tell us, what do you want to chat about?]

Mia rests her chin on her hand, looking at the chat on her phone, and starts chatting with fans, "Here I am, aren’t I?"

"Hasn’t Lily started streaming yet?"

Fans say: [Wait, she has! Did you two plan this together?]

Mia: "I didn’t."

She says this while minimizing her own livestream page and sneaks into Lynn’s livestream. As soon as she joins, Mia pauses, her eyes blinking.

There’s no one in the livestream room, just fans’ chat scrolling; Lynn seems to have gone somewhere, but... this livestream’s background... why does it look so familiar?!!

Shortly after Mia enters, her fans also sneak in: "Lily, quick, I brought Mia over for you!" But when they see, there’s no one in front of the screen.

"Hey, where did Lynn go, she was just here."

Mia coughs twice, then exits Lynn’s livestream, and returns to her own livestream, slightly awkwardly saying.

"You know, Lily might be busy, so let’s not disturb her, we’ll just chat here."

Even though she says this, her mind is filled with the background of Lynn’s livestream, if she’s not mistaken, that’s her brother’s home’s background, right?

No way, is it this intense, could it be they’re living together already?
