Chapter 182: Good Morning

It was around ten o’clock in the morning when Jensen Sterling was in the study looking at documents, and the phone beside him suddenly rang. Jensen stopped what he was doing, glanced at the phone, and then picked it up: "Hello."

Cameron Grant’s voice came from the other end, sounding urgent: "Hey, Jensen, is Miss Sutton at home now?"

Jensen casually responded: "Yeah, she’s still sleeping. What’s up?"

Cameron paused for two seconds, looked at his phone. Ten o’clock, and she’s still sleeping?

Sitting beside Cameron were company staff, signaling him to hurry up and speak.

Seeing this, Cameron nodded: Got it, got it, why the rush?

Then he said: "Here’s the thing, Jensen. Aren’t there many companies now wanting to sign Miss Sutton? Celine asked me to find out what Miss Sutton’s thoughts are, and see which company she’s actually interested in."

Mia Sutton’s popularity on "Shining Stars" is evident to everyone. Many agencies are eyeing her, especially after the final performance night. Her heat’s unstoppable; she’s attractive, talented, and without a management company, every agency is fighting to get her.

So, Prosperity Group’s people set their sights on Jensen. More accurately, they had their sights set on Jensen Sterling.

Technically, they shouldn’t know about Jensen Sterling’s relationship with Mia Sutton. Only people from their studio knew about it, and that’s kind of his fault.

Last time, while having dinner with Celine, he drank a bit. Celine brought up Mia Sutton, saying she had high hopes for her and wanted to sign her. Somehow, he let it slip out. Fortunately, they’re all close, otherwise, his slip would have been a big mistake.

But he didn’t anticipate the outcome of his slip would be surrounded by a group urging him to call Jensen Sterling, with Celine sitting nearby in professional attire watching.

Jensen leaned back in his chair and casually said: "Why isn’t she asking herself?"

Cameron: "Her phone is off; can’t reach her."

Jensen chuckled at this, recalling the girl’s state in recent days. It was true, as if she was trying to make up for the sleep she had missed over the past few months.

"I’ll have her call Celine once she’s awake."

After saying that, he hung up. Cameron glanced at Celine sitting not far away. Celine looked up and met his gaze: "What are you looking at me for? Got it done?"

Cameron: "Jensen said he would have Miss Sutton call you later to discuss."

Celine seemed dismissive as she looked at him, and after a few seconds, she asked blandly: "You know where Jensen Sterling is living now, right?"

Cameron: "..."

On the other side, not long after Jensen hung up the phone, Mia Sutton got up, and after freshening up, she sweetly greeted Jensen in the living room: "Morning, Mr. Sterling."

Jensen silently glanced at the wall clock; it was almost eleven o’clock. Then he smiled back at her: "Morning."

Mia had a very restful lie-in and felt great, even skipped lightly when she walked. She turned to the kitchen to grab some fruit, then crisply asked the person in the living room: "Mr. Sterling, would you like an apple?"

Upon hearing the affirmative reply from the living room, Mia casually brought out an apple, then sat on the sofa, handed the apple to Jensen, and sat cross-legged, hugging a pillow while watching TV, happily munching on a peach.

After a while, the doorbell rang. Mia continued watching TV without moving, reflexively saying: "Mr. Sterling, someone is here to see you."
