Chapter 797: Chapter 796 They Are Getting Married (1)

Shi Che’s voice was deep, his words firm, his gaze burning intensely, like a finely woven net spreading from all directions to envelop her. It pushed down all of her guilt and uneasiness, leaving only the same resolve that he possessed.

Unable to bear the thought of separation, they could only hold on to the very end.

Tears unbidden welled up in Ling Chuxia’s eyes, her throat constricted, and she found herself unable to utter a word. Instead, she buried her head in his chest and nodded vigorously.

Shi Che watched her, his large hand slowly stroking her long hair, as if he let out a soft sigh, "So Chuxia, no matter what happens in the future, I only need one promise from you."

"Don’t leave me, that’s my bottom line."

Tears flowed uncontrollably, yet they were tears of sweetness. She wrapped her arms tightly around Shi Che, nodding again emphatically.

With the weight in her heart released, Ling Chuxia felt increasingly light, as if reborn. In the following days, she and Shi Che almost covered the whole of Provence, playing throughout. Each place, each corner, seemed to hold their footprints, their laughter and joy.

On the last day before their departure, Ling Chuxia didn’t drag Shi Che out to play. Instead, the two quietly spent their time indoors, occasionally talking, hugging, kissing, sharing their sweetness, watching the sunrise and then the sunset.

As the sun set, and the last ray of light was covered by darkness, Ling Chuxia leaned in Shi Che’s embrace with a slight sigh, "Tomorrow, we’ll have to leave."

Though they had only been here for a few short days, it had been the warmest and happiest time of her life. It made her reluctant to leave, wishing time could stand still here forever, where she and Shi Che could live simply and happily.

With these thoughts, a shadow fell upon her beautiful face. She shifted slightly, hooking one arm around Shi Che’s neck, looking up at him with pursed lips, "I really don’t want to leave, Shi Che. Let’s stay a few more days."

Perhaps it was the excessive happiness she was feeling now—happiness so surreal it felt as if leaving this place would shatter that reality, forcing her back to a cruel reality.

Shi Che could not miss the unease in Ling Chuxia’s heart. His gaze was tender, his voice warm as he lightly kissed her forehead and replied with a smile, "Alright, we’ll stay as long as you want."

In truth, Ling Chuxia had been just speaking out of sentimentality; she couldn’t actually keep Shi Che here with her indefinitely. But hearing his indulgent words now made the corners of her mouth rise involuntarily, her heart as if filled with honey, spreading sweetness throughout her body.

Her gaze intensely fixed on Shi Che, she observed his handsome face, his indulgent and soft smile, unable to resist pulling him closer by the neck to kiss his lips.

Shi Che’s eyes quickly shimmered with amusement in response to Ling Chuxia’s initiative, and soon he took over, passively turned active, drawing her lips into his for a delicate caress and exploration, before slipping into her mouth, entwining with her tongue in a carefree embrace.

Swept up by him, Ling Chuxia’s consciousness blurred, her body softened involuntarily, her heart melting in tenderness, until she couldn’t help but let out a soft moan.

That moan instantly ignited the fire within Shi Che’s body.
