Contract Marriage: Abusive Love with Mr.CEO-Chapter 453 - 239: He Held Her (Part 1)
Becca could already imagine the outcome of tomorrow...
So, Becca had no choice left.
She didn’t know why he wanted her to meet him at the HEDF Hotel, but certainly, his demands were inevitable.
The terrifying memories from the "Skytop" days before were still vividly in her mind; she didn’t know what tricks he might have this time?
The HEDF Hotel was a half-hour taxi ride away from her hotel, and the fare alone had already consumed a third of her monthly salary.
HEDF was a business hotel, with guests dressed in suits and appearing sophisticated and elegant, making her look out of place in her affordable clothes amidst such a luxurious setting.
As soon as she stepped into the hotel, a waiter approached, "Are you Miss Quentin?"
She wasn’t surprised that the waiter could recognize her; Becca nodded slightly. It was clear he had arranged this; he had foreseen her return!
"Please follow me."
The waiter led the way courteously, and Becca, with chaotic thoughts, followed him into the elevator.
The elevator slowly ascended; Becca didn’t know which floor it stopped on, then she continued following the waiter to his room.
In front of room "3636," the waiter opened the door for Becca and respectfully said, "Miss Quentin, Mr. Geoffrey mentioned he might be back later. You can wait for him here."
"Alright."
"If you need anything, just call us."
"Okay."
The waiter then withdrew.
Sitting on the sofa by the window in the room, Becca couldn’t help but glance at the time again.
When would he return? It was already five in the afternoon.
Feeling impatient from all the waiting, Becca began to scrutinize the hotel’s surroundings.
The hotel’s exterior didn’t appear particularly opulent, but its interior decoration was costly and in good taste.
As she roamed looking around the hotel’s every corner, her face flushed with embarrassment when she passed by the shockingly large bed.
With no interest in admiring the hotel’s decor anymore, Becca glanced at the time again.
The hour hand pointed at five while the minute hand had already reached six...
Surprisingly, another half-hour had slipped by.
Fortunately, it was summer, and the sky didn’t darken quickly...
Considering it wouldn’t be easy to get a taxi here, Becca decided to wait another half-hour. If Howard Geoffrey didn’t show up, she would leave.
Idly sitting back by the window, Becca indulged in many random thoughts, most of which were memories she didn’t want to recollect.
Time swiftly passed by, and before long, it was six o’clock.
With her self-imposed deadline reached, Becca prepared to leave the hotel as planned.
But just as she was about to open the door, the waiter coincidentally opened it for him.
As the door opened, his gaze fell directly on her. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
The waiter quietly withdrew.
Becca glared coldly at him, "Did you know I was waiting for you, and deliberately came back only now?"
Howard Geoffrey entered the room, casually throwing his suit jacket onto the sofa, "I told you I had to attend a business summit."
Becca turned to him, "Let’s skip the small talk. I’m here at the hotel as you asked. Can you promise what you considered?"
Howard Geoffrey loosened his tie, turned around, and looked at her with a charming smile, "After a long day, come have dinner with me, how about that?"
"I don’t have time; if I wait any longer, I won’t get a taxi back to the city."
Howard Geoffrey gracefully approached Becca, gently holding her shoulders, "It’s just dinner, are you afraid I’ll eat you?"
Becca turned her face away, "I’m busy."
"Then regarding what we discussed, I’m afraid..."
"Are we eating here in the hotel?" She had no choice but to compromise under pressure.
"Of course."
After hesitating for a few seconds, Becca nodded, "No later than 6:30."
"Let’s go!"
Becca immediately turned around.
What Becca didn’t expect was, the moment she turned, his hand naturally wrapped around her waist.
"Hey..."
Becca struggled to break free.
Howard Geoffrey held her tightly, taking her bag out of her hand and laughed, "This hotel is quite big; I’m afraid you’d get lost."
Howard Geoffrey ordered two meals; Becca of course wasn’t willing to eat.
Howard Geoffrey didn’t force her either; he was in good spirits, eating elegantly.
Becca kept her gaze elsewhere, constantly checking the time, fearing she might inadvertently miss 6:30...
But, time seemed to slow down when she was with him; each time she checked, only a few minutes had passed.
Finally, as it approached 6:30, Howard Geoffrey finished his meal.
As the clock struck 6:30, Becca stood up, looking at the sky outside that had begun to darken, she asked aloud, "Are you satisfied now?"
Howard Geoffrey smiled slightly, getting to his feet.
Seeing Howard Geoffrey making a move to leave, Becca hurried to catch up with his pace, "Hey, you haven’t agreed yet to what you’ve considered."
Seeing her anxiously blocking his way, Howard Geoffrey remained nonchalant, "Since it’s a consideration, I can’t promise you right now."
"You..."
Howard Geoffrey had already started moving towards the elevator.
Realizing her bag was still in his room, Becca quickly followed him into the elevator.
In the elevator, Becca continued to question Howard Geoffrey, "I thought you were someone who kept his word."
"Of course I keep my word, but you haven’t done enough to make me very satisfied."
"What do you mean by ’very satisfied’?"
Howard Geoffrey stared intently at Becca without answering.
Just as Becca wanted to pursue the question, the elevator doors opened.
Howard Geoffrey walked straight out, but as he stepped out, he suddenly grabbed her hand.
"Hey..."
Her wrist was hurting from his grip, Becca struggled to keep up with his pace while trying hard to break free.
The waiter had already opened the room door for them.
He dragged her resisting into the room, pinning her against the white wall as she sensed danger, his cool aura enveloping, his dark eyes narrowed mysteriously, and through clenched teeth, he muttered, "Did you really think I asked you here just for a simple meal?"
Becca’s hands were pinned against the wall, unable to break free. Hearing his words, her eyes lifted in shock.
Overwhelmed with fear, Becca gazed at Howard Geoffrey’s intense gaze, her chest heaving from the panic.
