Chapter 976: Chapter 491: Rebirth of the Phenomenon (Part 2)

A Red Turban Army soldier pointed ahead and spoke to a middle-aged African man and a blond man in the car.

The African man’s name was Ao Du, leader of the Red Turban Army; the blond man with a cold gaze was the mercenary commander of the Dane Military Group.

They were originally pursuing Dr. Chen but were thwarted by two rescuers.

One of them was the young man riding a motorcycle ahead.

While searching around, they saw a strange light, prompting General Ao Du to order his men to check it out.

Unexpectedly, they found their target!

"Chase him, don’t shoot, capture him alive!" General Ao Du ordered.

He wanted to personally interrogate the young man to see what he was capable of.

The mercenary commander did not object; he also wanted to see what this Huaxia person was made of.

The pursuers increased their speed to keep up, only to be surprised when the motorcycle ahead kept turning, seemingly looping around on purpose.

In the end, they returned to the spot where they first encountered them.

At that moment, a yellow talisman floated down from the motorcycle.

The pursuers exchanged bewildered looks, strange expressions on their faces.

And then the motorcycle suddenly stopped, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Lin Beichen, why did you stop? They’re catching up!" Rachel asked anxiously.

Rachel widened her eyes in terror, looking at the suddenly halted Lin Beichen and asked, "What’s going on? Why did we stop?"

Lin Beichen casually turned his head, smiling at her, "Catching up? Just look behind us and you’ll see."

Rachel turned around in confusion, her face revealing an expression of disbelief, "What... what happened to them?"

She watched as the pursuing soldiers, fierce just moments ago, were now motionless, their faces filled with astonishment and bewilderment.

The Red Turban Army and mercenaries had been giving their all in pursuing them, but now they seemed to have hit an insurmountable barrier.

Their vehicles seemed to strike an invisible wall, unable to move forward despite their efforts.

General Ao Du furiously kicked down a driver, taking the wheel himself, but to no avail.

At this moment, Lin Beichen sat on the motorcycle, leisurely watching them wander about like headless flies.

His arms crossed over his chest, a smirk on his face.

Rachel, recovering from her shock, curiously asked Lin Beichen, "This... what’s happening?"

"Oh, nothing much," Lin Beichen said nonchalantly, "just used a small array to trap them."

He explained how he used the motorcycle and cinnabar to lay down the Ghost Gate Strange Array on the grass, trapping the pursuers in a predicament.

"Alright, we need to move," Lin Beichen said with a smile, getting ready to start the motorcycle.

But suddenly, as if realizing something, he halted his actions and turned his gaze back to the trapped pursuers.

Lin Beichen calculated in his mind, realizing that while the array could trap them for a day, they would inevitably resume the chase afterward.

If they reached the Chinese-Owned Factory, the Huaxia people there would be in danger.

Thus, he needed a more thorough plan.

Focusing on Ao Du, Lin Beichen came up with an idea.

He turned to Rachel, saying, "Go find some vines, we’re taking someone with us."

Rachel asked in confusion, "Taking someone? Who?"

But Lin Beichen just gave her a mysterious smile, urging her to hurry.

So, while Rachel went to find vines, Lin Beichen took out two blank talisman papers from his pocket, preparing for the next step of his plan.

Without scissors at hand, Lin Beichen tore two small human shapes out of the papers, though the outlines weren’t neat, they were usable.

He took out the remaining cinnabar and carefully drew spells on the two small papermen.

With his eyes locked on Ao Du ahead, Lin Beichen softly recited a spell to the little paperman.

One little paperman lightly floated from his hand, small and difficult to detect.

The Red Turban Army and mercenaries were too busy searching for a way out to notice anything else.

The paperman silently floated onto the pickup truck where Ao Du was, skillfully attaching itself to him, finally sticking tightly to his back.

Simultaneously, the spell on the paperman in Lin Beichen’s hand glowed red.

Knowing he had succeeded, he murmured a spell.

The paperman hovered above his palm, Lin Beichen’s eyes sharpened, gripping the paperman tightly and pulling sharply back.

Ao Du suddenly felt something gripping him tightly, and before he could react, he was yanked forcefully away.

The surrounding Red Turban soldiers and mercenaries gawked, seeing Ao Du suddenly flung from the car, shooting toward the Huaxia people.

"Why did General Ao Du fly away?" they exclaimed in disbelief at the bizarre scene.

Ao Du landed heavily on the ground, crying out in pain.

Upon returning, Rachel saw this scene, asking in horror, "Lin Beichen, what happened?"

Lin Beichen chuckled, "Nothing." He approached Ao Du, knocking him out with a hand blade and tied him up with the vines Rachel found, dragging him to the motorcycle.

Mounting the motorcycle, Lin Beichen turned to the stunned Rachel, "Get on, we’re leaving."

Rachel, filled with doubts, quickly got on.

They sped away, leaving behind a group of angry Red Turban soldiers and mercenaries.

After navigating winding paths, they finally reached the Chinese-Owned Factory.

As they arrived at the gate, bullets flew, and Lin Beichen deftly avoided them, stopping the vehicle.

Noticing the mine wires ahead, he looked up toward the factory gate.

The gate slowly opened, and a group of people emerged.

Leading them was a young man wearing red headphones, questioning suspiciously, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"I’m Lin Beichen, sent by Ambassador Fan to rescue you," Lin Beichen said calmly.

The young man scoffed, "Just you? How are you going to save..."

His words were cut off by another voice.

"He’s a friend of mine, here to rescue us!" Leng Feng ran out from the crowd, shouting.

Seeing Lin Beichen unharmed, Leng Feng breathed a sigh of relief.

Lin Beichen asked, "Where’s Dr. Chen?"

"Inside, safe."

Leng Feng turned to the young man, saying, "Zhuo Yifan, this is Lin Beichen. Ambassador Fan sent us to assist with the evacuation."

Zhuo Yifan studied Lin Beichen, gradually lowering his defenses.

"Alright, given the situation, let them in then."

Zhuo Yifan looked at Lin Beichen and his companions, nodding in agreement.

Leng Feng smiled, approaching Lin Beichen to help push the motorcycle into the factory.

However, as he walked over, he noticed the African man slumped over the motorcycle.

"Lin Beichen, who is this?" Leng Feng asked in confusion, reaching out to turn the African man over.

Seeing the red scarf tied around the man’s neck, Leng Feng’s pupils contracted sharply, "It’s a Red Turban Army member!"

At this point, a bespectacled, suit-wearing middle-aged man also noticed, immediately shouting in shock.

The workers at the factory gate, upon hearing this, instantly displayed wary expressions.

They were acutely aware that it was the marauding, lawless Red Turban Army that had plunged them into this perilous situation.

Now, with Lin Beichen bringing one of the Red Turban members here, how could they remain calm? 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"Lin Beichen, what’s going on?" Leng Feng looked at Lin Beichen, full of confusion.

He too didn’t understand why Lin Beichen would bring a Red Turban Army member along.

Looking at them, Lin Beichen slowly explained, "This is the leader of the Red Turban Army. I encountered them on the way and caught him as a hostage so we could use him as a human shield."

"You captured the leader of the Red Turban Army as a hostage? Do you think we’re idiots? Who would believe that?" the bespectacled middle-aged man said in disbelief.

The Red Turban Army members are all vicious, let alone their leader, how could he be captured so easily?

There must be some deceit here!

"Bringing a Red Turban Army member to our factory, isn’t that too strange!"

"Yeah, bringing a Red Turban Army member into our factory is too dangerous!"

"No, we can’t let them in. If this is a Red Turban Army plot, then our entire factory would be doomed."
