Hearing the concern in his voice, her tears of grievance could no longer be held back and streamed down uncontrollably.

Suddenly, she flung herself into Xi Nanfeng’s arms, burying her head on his shoulder and sobbing softly.

When he turned his head again to look at the thugs lying on the ground, the freezing, menacing glint in Xi Nanfeng’s eyes made the air around seem even colder.

Seeing the man approaching him, Zou Kai was so scared that he used his hands to push against the floor, retreating backward repeatedly. He even kicked one of the thugs beside him, shouting, "Block him! Stop him for me!"

The thug looked at Xi Nanfeng’s icy, close-at-hand face and stammered with a trembling voice, "It wasn’t me... it was-it was Brother Kai!"

Xi Nanfeng had already guessed who it was. Upon hearing the thug’s words, his fury exploded, and he grabbed Zou Kai by the collar like picking up a chicken.

Beneath them was the mall atrium, three stories high.

"W-what are you doing? Let go..." Zou Kai’s face turned deathly pale. His hands clung desperately to Xi Nanfeng’s sleeve, terrified he would actually be pushed off.

Xi Nanfeng’s expression was terrifying. Gripping Zou Kai’s collar, he shoved him even closer to the edge, pushing him down a few more centimeters.
