Chapter 127: Chapter 127 The online comments exploded again

Victoria’s POV

I held up another folder of evidence, my expression cold.

"And there’s more. Your son didn’t just cheat with Scarlett.

He also had an affair with his secretary.

They traveled abroad together and booked numerous hotel rooms.

Here’s the proof of his infidelity during his marriage."

I tossed the photos onto the table. "So what kind of ’good man’ is your son exactly?"

My wolf Nora growled with satisfaction inside me as I delivered the final blow. Her instincts preened. "Only you would think that worthless son of yours is some kind of treasure."

The evidence I presented completely shifted public opinion online. The comments section was exploding:

[Wow, her son is THAT Sterling guy? The one who’s already married? I’ve heard he’s bad news.]

[I actually felt sorry for this woman at first, but now I see the truth. Horrible people always play the victim. Her son cheated, and she’s blaming the other woman.]

Marcia Cross looked panicked, clearly not expecting me to have such thorough documentation. She stammered, "You’re lying! My son only married someone else AFTER you dumped him!"

I laughed coldly, the sound making several wolves in the crowd lower their heads instinctively. "If your son is already married, why are you even here harassing me? Oh right, you claimed I was having him followed and got him thrown in jail. You hate me for that, don’t you?"

My Alpha energy rippled through the air as I continued. A palpable force, it settled over the crowd. "Your son WAS stalking me, and yes, I did have him arrested. He’s a married man pursuing another woman—doesn’t that deserve legal consequences?"

I stepped closer, my voice steady and clear for all the cameras. "Furthermore, once your son discovered I was the Lancaster heir, his harassment intensified. His only goal was my company—he just realized he’d lost a wealthy woman and wanted to get his hands on Crescent Dawn Enterprises."

The crowd hung on my every word as I pulled out another document. "When I was abroad, he attempted to kidnap me. Here are the police reports. I only fired my weapon because he was committing a crime against me." I held up the official international police report. "If you can’t read this, I’m sure the media and everyone watching online can. Take a look."

The report contained damning words: kidnapping, attempted assault, and even using a knife to threaten me.

The online comments exploded again:

[What a monster! How dare they come make trouble for Victoria when their son did THESE things! They acted so self-righteous earlier, claiming she dumped him and got him arrested. Look what their son did—he deserves life in prison!]

[I agree. This is absolutely inhuman. Kidnapping and attempted assault? That’s attempted rape! He should be executed for this.]

[I feel so helpless watching through a screen. Is anyone there who can slap this woman for me?]

[This is infuriating. Poor Victoria, what she’s been through.]

With the truth revealed, the public could clearly see the situation for what it was. Marcia Cross was completely speechless, clearly never expecting I would have so much evidence against her son.

"I... I..." she stammered before exploding, "It’s still your fault! If you hadn’t seduced my son, would he have kidnapped you? And what do you mean ’assault’? You were his girlfriend! What’s wrong with him sleeping with you? You should consider it a blessing to be touched by my son!"

Her outburst was so shocking that everyone fell silent. I could feel the disgust rippling through the crowd. The air became thick with tension as my wolf strained against my control, wanting to put this disrespectful human in her place.

"That’s amusing," I replied, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "If you’re so fond of men forcing themselves on women, why don’t you volunteer yourself?"

My comment drew laughter from the onlookers. Marcia’s face contorted with rage and humiliation.

She pointed a trembling finger at me. "You... you... you’re too much! Just because you have money, you think you’re better than everyone else?"

"I’ve never thought that," I replied calmly. "My wealth doesn’t define me. But what’s certain is that Crescent Dawn’s money will never find its way into your hands, not even as a donation."

I turned to face the cameras directly, standing tall as the true Alpha I was. "I, Victoria Lancaster, current CEO of Crescent Dawn Enterprises, am donating one hundred million dollars each to the Red Cross and the Hope Foundation, effective immediately. Our financial department will process the transfers today, and I welcome public oversight of these donations."

My bold move garnered even more support online. The comments praised my generosity and leadership, with many expressing their admiration for a worthy heir who used her power and wealth for good.

"Additionally," I added, "all products under Crescent Dawn Enterprises will be offered at a twenty percent discount globally for the next three days!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, and even some of the reporters were smiling now. My pack members who were present looked on with pride—this was their Alpha, strong and generous.

Sensing her defeat, Marcia changed tactics. "Victoria! Don’t think this changes anything. You’re bringing all these people to bully an elderly woman. How can your conscience bear it?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Bully you? Who witnessed that? How exactly am I bullying you? Are you missing any limbs? Did I insult you or hit you?"

My rapid-fire questions left her speechless. My silver tongue had always been one of my strongest assets, next to my business acumen and my Alpha status.

"Weren’t you the one who brought a crowd and media to make a scene outside my company?" I continued. "I’m simply clearing my name in front of the same media. What’s wrong with that?"

I took a step closer, my voice softening but still carrying to everyone present. "I understand you want to defend your son, but when your family treated me that way, did any of you consider my feelings? Yes, I don’t have parents, but does that mean I deserve to be used by your family?"

The crowd grew silent, hanging on my every word.

"Before you married into the Sterling family, Ethan said he wanted to prove himself to Lawrence, to build his own business. Do you know how many times I revised his business plans? How many investors I personally convinced to back him? Of course, Ethan never knew it was me behind those connections. He really thought he was so impressive, looking down on everyone." I scoffed. "Nothing but a leech."

My words were daggers, each one striking Marcia’s heart. Nora was practically purring with satisfaction within me.

"But I suppose someone like you could only raise someone like Ethan—a creature lower than animals," I finished coldly.

The crowd around us was growing, with onlookers pointing and whispering about Marcia. Her phone kept ringing incessantly, but she seemed unable to process what was happening. How had her plan to humiliate me backfired so spectacularly?

To my surprise, she collapsed right in front of me.
