Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!-Chapter 189: School Bullying
"Hmm, it’s alright." Ruby Sullivan tried hard to rein in her chaotic thoughts.
"Well... you should get some sleep early, the kids are fine too, you don’t need to worry."
"Okay, I’ll rest then." Ruby Sullivan immediately hung up the phone after speaking, afraid she couldn’t resist asking him about Rhonda Sullivan.
Her mind was a bit of a mess, she couldn’t figure out anything for a moment, and she didn’t even know if she should go see that woman. She even suspected that this message was Dr. L’s conspiracy.
To her, her mentor was someone who would never give up until he achieved his goals, indeed.
Standing under the shower, it took Ruby Sullivan a full half an hour before she realized she had a bias. At this moment, she was willing to believe in Ethan Sterling, regardless of Rhonda Sullivan’s outcome, she brought it upon herself.
Before Rhonda Sullivan went to sleep, she deleted Dr. L’s message and decided not to think about it anymore.

Meridia.
Ethan Sterling brought Honey to pick up Seth Sterling from school. As they stood at the entrance, they saw a few white kids whistling at him, and after whistling, they burst into laughter. It didn’t seem like a typical way friends greeted each other.
Seth Sterling furrowed his brows tightly and quickly walked toward his dad, trying to pretend these things had nothing to do with him.
Ethan Sterling observed all this, slightly frowning.
Beside him, Honey was furious, making faces at those kids and even turned around provocatively, sticking out her rear and slapping it to mock them. Those white kids were stunned.
Seth was also shocked by his sister’s actions, quickly ran a few steps forward, and pulled her into the car.
"Honey, what were you doing just now?" Seth asked somewhat annoyedly.
Honey grinned, showing a row of small white teeth, a bit proud, "Nina taught me, isn’t it awesome?" She looked at her brother expectantly, hoping for praise.
Seth frowned and said nothing.
Ethan looked back, reminding, "Sit properly, we’re about to go."
Clearly, his son’s new school life was not very pleasant, and apparently, he himself wasn’t handling it well either.
Honey had always been sensitive to her family’s emotions, so her brother’s unhappiness worried her. She kept tilting her head to look at Seth, trying to pull his arm, but for the first time, got no response.
She sighed. "If you’re unhappy, brother, just say so. Mom said that only by speaking out can you find a way to be happy."
Seth glanced at her, "You don’t understand."
Honey frowned, retorting, "Of course I understand, those older kids bully you, so you just bully them back. If one person can’t do it, then team up with friends, you shouldn’t be unhappy alone."
"What do you understand, you little brat?" Seth muttered irritably, purposely shifting to the side, quite disdainful.
Honey felt a bit aggrieved, she was clearly trying to help her brother but was despised. Unconvinced, she crossed her arms, tilted her head, "hmph"ed softly, and didn’t want to look at him anymore. She pursed her lips slightly, thinking of mom a bit.
At dinner, Seth ate just a little and then returned to his room.
He felt quite embarrassed, unable to handle even such a small matter as attending school.
The knowledge taught by the teachers didn’t seem difficult at all; he answered questions actively, showcased himself, and completed homework well, yet in return, he was disliked by everyone. He originally didn’t care whether people liked him or not, having never had friends, but these people started bullying him more and more.
Doodling over his textbooks, pulling his chair when he stood up to answer questions to make a fool of him, even during PE class, no one wanted to team up with him for exercises.
This first-grade life was nothing like what he had imagined or what mom had told him.
He somewhat missed the kindergarten days with Honey by his side, livening up the atmosphere.
Seth was sitting on a bench daydreaming when he heard a knock on the door. He knew it wasn’t Honey outside, hesitated for a moment, but still got up to open the door.
Ethan Sterling was holding two cans of Coke, handing him one, making a hush gesture at his lips, "Sister doesn’t know."
The cold Coke, with a layer of water droplets on the surface, was just bought by Ethan from the neighborhood convenience store.
He casually sat on his son’s desk, snapped open the can ring, and took a quick drink, "Not bad." Then, somewhat out of character, he winked at his son.
Seth only then snapped open the can ring as well.
Sister wasn’t suitable for carbonated drinks, besides these things weren’t very healthy anyway, so he accompanied his sister in not drinking them. However, tasting the sweet hint of bubbles, he couldn’t help taking a big swig, indeed it was nice.
"When I was young, I didn’t attend much school, dropped out after not finishing elementary school. Your grandmother hired private tutors to quickly prepare me to take over The Sterling Group, so now I’m still only a primary school dropout."
Seth looked at his dad, eyes turning a little fascinated.
Ethan smiled, "Actually, I’m a bit envious of you, you have a great mom, she knows better about educating children than I do. So, do you want to video chat with her about your recent unhappiness?"
Seth thought for a moment, then shook his head, "At this time, mom is still sleeping, I don’t want to disturb her."
"Then want to hear dad’s thoughts?"
Seth nodded.
Ethan squinted his eyes, pursed his lips, drawing out his voice without saying anything for a long while, "Dad agrees with Honey’s approach. When facing those who bully you, first, don’t be afraid, second, express your dissatisfaction. At worst, have a fight. Sometimes, the kid’s way of communication needs to be direct."
"What if I can’t win?"
"If you can’t win..." Ethan fell silent, indeed, his son was indeed not as adept as his daughter in handling things, "Do you need dad to talk to the teacher?"
"No use, I’ve told the teacher." Seth lowered his head, gently rubbing the mist on the Coke can with his thumb.
"Do you want to transfer schools?" Ethan also felt this matter was a bit tricky.
"Dad, I want to join a boxing class, trying my sister’s way, fighting violence with violence." Seth clenched the Coke bottle, seemingly determined, "Today the guys who whistled at me, they are brothers of a classmate in our class, third graders. This classmate wanted to copy my homework, got refused, and started picking on me, calling me a nerd. Before, I was always a bit scared of conflicts, but now I’m not. At worst, I’ll just fight."
Ethan patted his son’s head, "If you didn’t have enough dinner, I left a pudding in the fridge for you, caramel flavored." He finished his Coke, burped, and left his son’s room.
He went to Ruby Sullivan’s bedroom to call Jessica, he didn’t want his son to get into any accidents, and he certainly didn’t believe any master could turn his son, whose athletic abilities weren’t that sharp, into Bruce Lawson in a few days.
However, this incident made him think that enrolling his son and daughter in some martial arts training was indeed necessary.
Starting the next day, Seth went to the gym every day after school to learn free fighting for two hours.
Ethan picked up and dropped off the kids every day, accompanying his son for boxing practice, while remotely handling The Sterling Group’s affairs on the side.
In the blink of an eye, three days passed. Although Ruby Sullivan discovered a fatal mistake in the previous formula, she couldn’t come back right away because the solution could only be creating a new formula.
After discussing this with him, Ruby Sullivan was also quite distressed, "How are things on your end?" If Ethan Sterling needed to return immediately, she would have to consider returning to Meridia first, but that would undoubtedly delay a lot of time.
"You focus on work, resolving employees’ concerns is the boss’s duty." Ethan Sterling said, having already planned things out in his mind.
