Chapter 773: Chapter 773: Black Palace

"Coward, you’re back to your old ways, timid as a mouse!"

Big Black Cat disdainfully glanced at the Sky-boring Rat, then said blandly, "Strange, I don’t sense any terrifying Super Divine Dragon Breath. Instead, there’s an indescribable sense of familiarity."

"Familiarity?"

The Sky-boring Rat was stunned.

He was terrified out of his wits; how could anyone feel at ease in this place?

"Cat Brother, although I don’t feel terrified, to be honest, I am a little bit scared..." Big Black Dog said solemnly.

He had barely cracked the Seal of the Underground Palace before, and the terrifying Super Divine Dragon Breath that leaked out had severely injured him. Luckily, he was a good escape artist and managed to get away.

Now, the Super Divine Dragon Breath from this underground palace was continuously pouring out, spreading everywhere. After sensing it, Big Black Dog still felt a trace of bone-chilling fear.

"Doggy! Your courage has shrunk as well!" Big Black Cat chuckled.

"Miss, do you feel anything unusual?" Big Black Cat turned his head and asked.

"I don’t feel anything at all. I don’t feel any fear, nor do I feel any particular closeness. Just a slight sense of... familiarity," Su Wanyi said softly.

"Familiarity?" Big Black Cat was taken aback. He didn’t understand why she had such a strange reaction.

"How far is the Underground Palace from the surface?" Su Wanyi gazed down at the valley and asked quietly.

"Miss, do you see that black opening over there? The one I dug out. If you follow it and fly at full speed, it’d take approximately the time for an incense stick to burn to reach the Underground Palace..." Big Black Dog pointed and explained.

"Let’s go. Let’s go down and take a look!" Su Wanyi nodded.

Everyone agreed and soon descended, heading into the black tunnel.

Big Black Dog took out a Luminous Pearl to light up the dark tunnel. He led the way, with Su Wanyi and the others following close behind.

They all flew quickly through the tunnel, the whistling of the wind echoing in their ears.

"So terrifying..." The Sky-boring Rat felt his entire body grow increasingly numb, his heart pounding. He couldn’t help but mutter quietly.

"What’s there to be afraid of!" Big Black Cat smacked him.

"Cat Brother, I’m really scared. It feels like there are monsters here..." the Sky-boring Rat said, looking truly terrified.

"What monsters could possibly be here? At most, there would just be some ominous weapon... If there really were monsters, wouldn’t they have already started a massacre?" Big Black Dog said dismissively.

"Doggy is right. Lead the way quickly; let’s see what this Underground Palace looks like!" Big Black Cat grinned.

Everyone stopped talking and continued to fly forward in silence. After a while, Big Black Dog suddenly stopped and yelled out loud, "We’re here! This is the Underground Palace!"

Everyone quickly looked forward.

Deep beneath the ground, they saw a massive open space, with an ancient black palace sitting on the earth.

The black palace was unique in its architectural style, exuding an unsophisticated and simple charm. It couldn’t be compared to any modern buildings and was quite impressive. The black palace was enormous, its length stretching as far as the eye could see.

"The Seal is broken?" Big Black Dog exclaimed in shock. "Originally, there was a seal on the periphery, but now it’s gone. Looks like someone broke it!"

"Maybe Master broke it..." Su Wanyi said in a deep voice.

"Wow, wow, wow! What on earth is in this palace? I’m feeling an incredible excitement!" Big Black Cat burst into excitement, practically dancing.

Everyone looked at him, surprised. The Sky-boring Rat, in particular, was completely shocked.

How could it be that the Underground Palace he found terrifying seemed so appealing to Cat Brother, more so than even a beautiful woman?

Seeing Big Black Cat’s antics, the trace of Ye Yun’s Primordial Spirit in Su Wanyi’s mind smiled. He wasn’t in a hurry to scan this underground palace. Instead, he would remain patient, waiting for these juniors to undergo their trial. If anything unexpected happened, he would intervene then.

"The door of this underground palace seems to be ajar. Let’s go in and see; Master might be inside..." Su Wanyi looked at the palace’s gateway and said softly.

They quickly flew over to it.

Only when they reached the foot of this great door did everyone discover its immense size. The door was tens of thousands of feet high, towering like a mountain and exuding an imposing air.

"What kind of creature could traverse through such a huge door?" Su Wanyi said, astounded.

"Look, there are patterns of Divine Dragons on this door, though the patterns are blurred and not clearly visible..." Big Black Dog’s eyes lit up, and he exclaimed.

Everyone looked. Sure enough, on both the left and right sides of the gateway, there were faint patterns of Divine Dragons, which were indeed hard to distinguish.

"It seems like this place has weathered many ages; the patterns on the door have been corroded by time..." Su Wanyi sighed softly.

Big Black Cat didn’t say anything. Instead, his eyes turned red, and he was panting slightly as he reached out with both hands and pushed one of the giant doors.

CREAK!

With a heavy sound, the gigantic door was pushed open by Big Black Cat, revealing a slight crevice.

A black shadow flashed. Big Black Cat rushed in alone.

"Cat Brother, what are you playing at? Running in first without even waiting for Miss!" Big Black Dog grumbled and was the second to storm into the gateway, seemingly afraid that Big Black Cat would monopolize all the opportunities inside.

Su Wanyi smiled slightly, unconcerned. She was the third to step in.

The apprehensive Sky-boring Rat also gingerly made its way inside.

BANG!

Just as the four of them entered, a gust of cold wind blew, and the grand door surprisingly closed on its own.

"There are enemies! Miss, look out!" The Sky-boring Rat, who was behind everyone, suddenly jumped up, shouting in panic.

"You coward! Stop talking nonsense. Where do you see any living people here?" Big Black Cat stood at the front, hands behind his back, looking into the distance as he reprimanded.

Inside this dark palace, mounds of white bones were piled up like a forest. Occasionally, chilly winds would blow, creating sob-like sounds as they passed through the Bone Mountains.

"Why are there so many skeletons?" Big Black Dog was dumbfounded.

Originally, he thought the place was filled with endless Cultivation resources, but all he saw were skeletons. But these bones were enormous; even the smallest were hundreds of feet tall, rooted in the ground like massive trees.

These bones radiated a terrifying Super Divine Dragon Breath, invoking fear at first sight.

"Miss, these bones... don’t they look like dragon bones to you?" Big Black Cat examined them closely before speaking in a deep tone.

"Indeed, they do!" Su Wanyi nodded, an inexplicable weight settling in her heart.

"This palace is vast. Let’s move ahead and find Master first..." she said after a moment of contemplation.

"Okay!" Everyone nodded and slowly started moving forward.

THUMP!

The Sky-boring Rat, who was trailing behind, suddenly tripped on something. He stumbled and almost fell.

"I can trip even while walking. My luck is really terrible..."

"Huh? What’s this?"

The Sky-boring Rat sharply kicked, dislodging a protruding object from the soil. This protrusion had seemed very small. However, after being kicked out of the soil by the Sky-boring Rat, it turned out to be twenty to thirty feet high.

WHOOSH!

This elongated object spun in the air a few times, then suddenly landed on the ground, settling perfectly upright, standing tall like an already erected Stele.
