Chapter 91: You’re more of a bitch than I’ll ever be

A reporter raised his hand to speak.

"May I ask a question?"

Valerie turned her head to look at him and gave him the go-ahead.

"For so many years, you have been subjected to such treatment and have been regarded as a villainess, why have you been quiet all along? Why did you not defend yourself? And why now, did you choose to take action?"

His question was vital and everyone turned their attention to Valerie to hear what she had to say about it.

"I had no power." She simply said. "But now that I do, I don’t want to endure any longer."

"Is that so? But you clearly have Ross under your name, why could you not do anything?"

"Ross Corp," she paused and closed her eyes for a moment. This was the word that would either bring her father’s company to ruins or would bring it to glory.

It would probably fall on to ruins but she just had to expose it.

"Ross Corp is currently being run by my uncle and since he has so many illegal practices in it, he has made it so that I cannot enter the company, or take over even though I am of age. You can say, he used his daughter’s schemes to his advantage as it gives me a bad reputation." She explained and eyed him. "You could say he was afraid of me finding out about his illegal acts and putting a stop to it or taking it to court. Hence, I have not been able to monopolize my rights as the rightful owner of Ross Corps."

This spited the reporters. Such news. In a simple form, Ross Corp was corrupted.

"What are you doing, you fool?!" Bernard yelled from where he was being held. "Are you planning to throw the company into the mud? That is a company your parents worked hard to build."

"And it is the company you have soiled with your filthy hands." Valerie retaliated in spite. "I would rather it crumble and I build it up again than have it continue as it is. I have evidence." She said and on the screen came a full view of the documents that had to do with his illegal funding.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

"Illegal shipments." She started approaching him. "Manipulated stocks. Drugs." She stopped in front of him. "There is no piece of shit that you did not dare to dig your hand into in the name of the company. Why would I want to take over such a sullied company? My parents would be proud that I went this far." She stated.

"You crazy bitch. I should’ve ended you when I had the chance." Bernard said, still keeping his, pride and she frowned.

"Well, you tried." Valerie said and moved away from him. "And I can tell because I was the recipient of all your assassination attempts." She said and stopped in front of Lucy who had turned completely pale and couldn’t even lift her head.

"This isn’t happening. This isn’t happening. This isn’t happening." She kept mumbling these words with an unrecognizable expression. She was out of it.

Valerie raised her hand to slap her but Max suddenly caught her hand and she looked back at him, wondering what he was doing. Then, he kissed her hand and said,

"Don’t use your bare hands." He said. "I’ve forgiven you but my word still stands. I won’t let off anyone who hurts any part of you, not even you." He said and slipped hand gloves on both of her hands.

She felt touched but was this really the time to be acting all domineering and passionate?

"I got it." She said and he walked back to his position, waiting for when he could assist her again.

Valerie looked away from him, her soft gaze immediately transforming into a bitter frown.

Everyone wondered where a sudden show of PDA came from all of a sudden? They were in such a crucial moment for crying out loud. It was like a movie and knowing it was something that was happening in real life riled them up even more.

Lucy still looked out of it like she was going insane with disbelief. Valerie couldn’t leave her in that condition as she had to remain sane to see the rest of her humiliation.

She raised her hand and slapped her hard across the face. Thanks to the gloves, the impact was hard for Lucy but comfortable for Valerie.

"Wake up." She said, but Lucy was still out of it. She raised her other hand and slapped her again. She repeated this action till she was back to her senses.

With her throbbing cheeks, Lucy looked up at Valerie, and her turned bloodshot.

"I’m going to kill you!" She roared and took the gun from the guard’s pocket but before she could even point the gun at Valerie, Valerie had already slapped the gun out of her hand and slapped her again across the cheek, sending her to the ground.

"It seems you’re not yet fully awake." Valerie said. "You don’t seem to understand your situation."

"Lucy!" Victoria called out like someone who was in distress but she could not move from her spot as the guards were paying more attention to her and Bernard.

"Lucy, you’re more of a bitch than I’ll ever be, do you know that?" She said and snapped her fingers, bringing up yet another video clip.

This one was a video of Lucy experiencing her best life, living a life of debauchery/dissoluteness. Exchanging favors for sex with rising actors, promising the world, and showering them with her ’love’.

This was yet another scandal as none of the faces were blurred. The actors and idol bands who were shown in the video were all subjected to downfall. That was a fact.

This scandal was even bigger than Ross being involved in illegal activities and would seem to cover up that news faster than anyone could tell.

"You’re so disgusting." Valerie said, watching Lucy as she watched in horror, her horrible lifestyle being shown on TV. "In front of everyone, you act like a saint but in secret, you’re just a slutty bitch."

"How... How did you... How did you...?" Lucy was short of words. Why was this happening to her? Why? Why did she have to suffer like this?

She was supposed to get married to the most handsome man in the country. She was supposed to be the most beautiful bride. How did it all come to this?

"White," Valerie said, staring at the wedding gown on her. "...Is definitely not your color." She picked up the red wine that just happened to be at the side and opened it. "You would look better in red." With that, she soaked Lucy, pouring the entire wine bottle on her head to her toes and soaking her entire dress red.

Victoria was stunned. She wanted to stop her from humiliating her daughter any further but the guards still held her down.

"There." Valerie said after emptying the bottle on her, her eyes brimming with disgust. "This looks much better on you."

"You’ve gone too far." Victoria claimed causing Valerie to yell back.

"’I’ have gone too far?!" She looked at her in disbelief. "Do you even hear yourself? You..." She went closer to her. "You deluded your daughter and that was why she did what she did. You’re the one who went too far into ignoring the monster you were raising." She slowly lowered her voice. "So many lives were lost, just because she wanted to get rid of me."

"If it’s what my daughter wants then..." A heavy slap landed on her face, shutting her up and Valerie glared at her.

"Are you also not awake?" She asked. "You’re so overprotective of her that you don’t mind what she does. In a way, you’re also a murderer."

"What mother would...?" Another slap flew across her face.

"Just shut up." Valerie said. "So many lives were lost and yet you’re still trying to defend your daughter’s actions. You’re as horrible as she is, trying to make my life hell, trying to kill me." She bit down on her lower lip, looking a bit sad. "What did I ever do to you?" She asked and gritted her teeth, getting angry again and she yelled, "What did my parents ever do to you?!"

Bernard flinched and he looked up at her. What was she saying? Did she know something?

Valerie shifted her gaze to Bernard.

"Haha, that look. You’re surprised, right?" She approached Bernard again. "You probably thought you had your little secret hidden." She said. "I had it with me all along, waiting for this moment. I will expose to the world, what you did."

"You... You’re bluffing." Bernard muttered.

Valerie looked at him with disgust and turned away, holding up her gown that had been a nuisance to her movement but she wanted to endure with it.

This gown... This white wedding gown... She wanted it to mark her new start so she would keep it on till she was done with her revenge plot.

"I hope you all are enjoying the show because it is finally time to reveal the highlight of it all. It’s the cherry resting comfortably on top of the icing." Valerie said and the screen went blank.

A few voices started playing and Bernard’s eyes widened as he heard his voice say,

"Ah, if only we had taken care of her back then, along with her parents, this problem would never have existed."
