The only thing that could be said was that William Davis had no idea what was happening.

As the doors to the elevator closed, the entire corridor turned quiet!

Emilia's lips trembled, and she looked a little angry as she asked, "Did you think that you looked cool?

"Do you know how much trouble you have caused after hitting him?

"Can you be a little more mature?!"

It was undeniable that Oliver Walker was manly.

He did something that she always wanted to do but never got to! 𝘣𝑒𝘥𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝑙.𝘤𝘰𝘮

However, life wasn't about being impulsive. One would always have to think of the consequence of their actions!

It was true that William Davis, that bastard, deserved a beating, but the heavy consequences that they were about to face weren't a joke!

Plus, they hadn't even solved things with George Johnson!

Although the day wasn't over yet, it still wasn't hard to imagine that after Oliver Walker had offended both these bastards, they would no longer be able to stay in Colorado.

Oliver Walker looked at her affectionately as he said, "I just wanted to give you the best protection!

"These people wouldn't be able to do much!"

George Johnson?

William Davis?

All of them were nothing!

He was the Chaplain, and once he got mad, there would be blood spilled!

This was the legend that had been passed on in Indiana for 4 years.

In the last 4 years, however, since Oliver Walker had to recover from his injuries and he couldn't go on the battlefield personally, he could only guide his apprentice. Even so, with the skills of the five war gods, they were still able to kill their enemies.

He turned the odds around!

Emilia kept quiet. As she looked at the pair of affectionate eyes, her heart started beating.

In fact...

In fact, how Oliver Walker wanted to protect her proved that he was still a man.

Perhaps, this man wasn't as bad as she thought.

At least, he was willing to stay and fight the pressure coming from both George Johnson and William Davis.

From the look of his wife's beautiful eyes, Oliver Walker could see that the ice inside her heart was slowly melting away.

At least, this was a good opening. He smiled and said, "I got these dishes from Hotel Colorado. They were specially prepared.

"All of these are your favorite dishes, as well as your mother's.

"I don't know what Olivia likes, but I brought some soup so that she could replenish the nutrients in her body.

"I know that I haven't done things correctly, and I wouldn't ask for you to look at me differently now, but I just hope that you would give me another chance!

"Really! Just give me one chance to prove myself!

"Please?"

He was aware of how important this relationship was to him.

He also knew that he owed Emilia too much.

Most importantly, he knew that it would be his loss for the rest of his life if he lost such a perfect wife!

It was true that Emilia's frozen heart was slowly melting away because of what he just said.

In other words, she still had feelings for Oliver Walker. That had not changed. She was still willing to believe in fairy tales!

Although his wife was quiet the entire time, Oliver had mustered up enough courage that he wanted to hold his wife's hands. He wanted to hold that pair of hands that were shaking.

He actually felt lost. He was the one at fault, but why was his wife acting this way?

When she noticed how Oliver Walker was trying to hold her hand, Emilia took one step backward and placed her hands behind her back.

This was because after collecting rubbish for years, her hands were not as smooth as before. She was worried that Oliver would be disgusted by it.

It looked like a sense of self-defense that she developed after getting hurt by others.

She no longer believed anyone around her.

"Come….come in!"

Although she rejected him, she still invited him in with her trembling voice. This man came back and he wasn't as horrible as she thought he was.

At least, he deserves a chance...
