Chaotic World Book-Chapter 78: Listing Testimonial
Chapter 78: Listing Testimonial
After launching so many books, I feel like an old hand, and frankly, there’s not much left to say.
Let’s talk about the update schedule instead.
Tonight at midnight, which means the start of the 1st, I’ll post three Chapters, and then one Chapter each at 12 PM and 6 PM as usual, totaling five Chapters or about fifteen thousand words for the day.
Starting the next day, there will be three updates a day, about ten thousand words. I’m not sure how long I can keep this up...
(It’s likely that I’ll run out of steam in just two or three days...)
In theory, more frequent updates would be good for the performance, but as everyone knows, this old writer can’t manage that pace without risking quality. I’d rather not hurry; slow cooking works better...
I still don’t dare to promise extra updates; I’ll try my best to add some when I can.
As for my thoughts about this book, I’ve already said everything in my New Year’s greeting Chapter. Damn, I always find that I’ve talked too soon and have nothing left to say when the time comes...
Damn it.
Should we talk about the plot, answer some questions?
There isn’t much to say there either; so far, I haven’t noticed any concentrated opinions or anything that needs special explanation.
Maybe a few people have issues with certain parts, but overall, it doesn’t seem like there’s much need to say more...
Actually, I’m relieved because before starting this book, I was very anxious. I was afraid I wouldn’t handle the martial arts elements well or that they might seem too "old-fashioned" to interest you all. But so far, the feedback has been quite favorable, and everyone seems to enjoy it, so that’s reassuring.
What’s more, the continued readership has been high, and this book has earned a spot in the featured widget event—a rare honor that Qidian grants only a few times a year, and something I’ve never achieved before.
Does this mean the martial arts genre is not dead?
It’s quite interesting because many readers feel this book resembles others, like Fire, Mouse, Dao Trickster, Lord of the Ages, Cao Cao in Wu Dalang’s Clothes, Great Sage Tale, Rise of Evil, Demon Sword... and of course, Eternity.
To me, this is a tremendous compliment. Even though I’ve read some and not others, referenced some and hadn’t thought about others, it must mean there’s something in this book that reminds you all of some aspect of these great works. Looking at what they have in common, I’d say it has to be the martial arts element.
A few days ago, chatting with my good friend, the real sage Pu Xiang, we spoke about martial arts, and he said the essence of martial arts could be summed up in eight words: "With passion and loyalty, defying law and heaven." I was stunned for a moment—it sounds so much like Zhao Changhe...
I copied those eight words right away.
Maybe it shows that in everyone’s heart, the Worldly Society is somewhat the same.
That’s about all I have to say. I’ll continue to put my heart into it. We’re reaching a critical part of the Cui Family’s storyline, and soon the knives will be out in Worldly Society again. I hope the unfolding panorama of Worldly Society continues to satisfy everyone.
