Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 261: A feeling of calm - II

Today they were all together for breakfast and this was a big hearty breakfast.

Agatha was someone Evelyn had heard about time in again and this time she got to see the woman in action.

She did not wait around, Snapped orders at everyone, ready to push around any and everyone just to get everything straightened out in the manner it was supposed to be in.

Marco even listened to her. Evelyn had no clear idea if Marco was a made man or not but he definitely listened to Agatha.

Evelyn was watching from the corner as it all happened. The children were with their grandparents and the breakfast was going to be outside in the garden.

"Is there anything I can help you with ma’am?"

Evelyn jumped slightly and turned around to find Agatha standing beside her with her arms folded in front of her.

"Uh no," Evelyn stretched her lips into a thin smile as she answered.

Agatha nodded but the grim expression that she always had over her face scared Evelyn a bit. "You should be more firm on what you want. Donna Alexis had a problem with it, the more firmly you say it, the more sooner it gets done."

"You are advising me?" Evelyn pointed to herself.

"Yes," She nodded, "I believe Marco cannot be of much help. At the end of the day, his loyalty lies to the Don first."

"It does." Evelyn confirmed. " Is your loyalty not with the Don first?"

That was a controversial topic yet Evelyn touched it. Why would her loyalty not be with Angelo first when he was the one who had hired her? It was he who had all the power in the world destroy her, to torture her, and to kill her. So while it was her loyalty not with the Don?

Agatha Smiled, even though it was professional and cherry, ever and good sense to sadness behind her eyes. "because there are circumstances that make your loyalty shift from one to another. I was hired for Alexis, I will die for Alexis."

Wow, that was some kind of loyalty.

"Alright," Evelyn pushed herself off the wall that she had been leaning on, "I’m going to go and check on my kid."

"Ahem,"

Evelyn frowned lightly before she turned around and looked at Agatha who had cleared her throat in a clear intention of getting her attention.

"In case, if you are up to it, I have someone that might take up this rule for you."

Evelyn did not bother hiding her surprise. That was not the reason why she had initiated the conversation. She had done this because it was the first time she was meeting Agatha and definitely not because she wanted someone like her in her life.

"Did someone say anything to you? Because I do not remember making a demand for someone like.."

"Me?" Agatha smiled, "it’s okay, you can say it."

"Yes you. What I mean is I did not ask for it, and I would like to know if anyone else put this in your mind."

Evelyn was fine the way Everything was, there was no need to overly complicate things.

" I know, but I also know that you are familiar to the woman I have served and will continue to you until death. I just want you to have that partner that’s going to help you with everything."

"That’s very kind of you." Evelyn smiled, "but I don’t require anyone like that."

"Maybe you don’t." Agatha agreed. "But I would be putting this idea in front of Donna Alexis anyway." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

she did seem like the kind of woman that was not going to take no for an answer and this statement proved Evalyn just right.

However it was early in the morning and she had not had anything to eat, so Evelyn was not going to try to butt heads with her, someone who she was just going to meet for a few times.

"Do whatever you want," Evelyn shook her head before choosing to walk away from the kitchen.

At first, she had decided to go into the room of a daughter where the children usually were in but then she decided to reroute to her bedroom to change into an appropriate dress.

The moment she entered, she immediately noticed the sound coming from the closet.

There was no way Salvatore was inside the closet. He was already with his parents and his brothers so that ruled out the only inhabitant in the room except her. Marco was downstairs.

Slowly, making sure that she made no sound, she walked towards the closet only to come face-to-face with a maid settling with the shoes on her side.

"Excuse me?" Her eyes turned shop just as the maid’s head whipped around. " Is there a reason why You Are in my room without the presence of the butler?"

"Uh..I-Uh," The maid in front of her, stammering for words, was clearly in a shock.

And shock did not come unless she was not expecting to be found out.

"You were not asked by Marco to come here, were you?" Evelyn took a step forward with a dangerous expression on her face. "because you are not authorized to be here at all."

"I..uh.." The stammering did not stop and so did the hair and their darting of eyes.

Without missing a beat, Evelyn yelled, "Guards! Intruder!"

Her eyes clearly widened in panic. Sheer panic that was not visible to Evelyn but she said her ground, ready to tackle the maid if need be. She was going to protect her child no matter what.

And her husband, she was also going to protect her husband.

Within seconds, the thundering footsteps of the guard was right behind her and they pushed past her before grabbing the hold of the maid who was screaming and rushing around to get away.

"don’t harm her," she called out immediately, " wait until my husband gets back." They were men, the women that have done the most of the things ever and she was not going to take a chance for a woman to...

She huffed. Hopefully it would just be a false call, she thought as she watched the men drag the woman away.
