Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 257: Family time - I
Evelyn narrowed her eyes in the mirror. She glowed.
Like an unbelievable glow...
And that came from the sex she had been having.
For the past few weeks that they had blissfully spent in each other’s company, Evelyn realized that she had never been so happy before. Not before when they were living together, not before when they were getting married, never before. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
This was a different kind of happiness that would always make her smile, whether she was looking at yourself in the mirror or not. Even without a reason, Evelyn was constantly finding herself in a state of happiness, blissfully flying in the clouds, like the feeling that she was in a permanent high.
She was in love and it was confirmed.
Arabella was the cherry on the top. The moment when Salvatore come home and immediately torch to her daughter, pick her daughter up and throw her up in the air like she was his child was something that would always make Evelyn smile.
She wanted nothing more. Nothing else could satisfy her.
There was just nothing that she wanted from the world anymore. Just these two and maybe one or two more additions to her family.
Evelyn smiled from where she was standing. The french doors overlooking the gardens where her husband and her daughter were playing.
Her family.
Something that she would definitely like to add a few people to. A few children playing with Salvatore and her daughter.
Evelyn blinked her eyes as if capturing the moment in her mind forever. She opened them as a smile remained on her face. Moments like these were the moments she wished she would never come out of.

Salvatore sighed. "Nothing?"
"Yes, sir," Michelle confirmed. "nothing. There has been no activity against us, no tips, no moves."
"just like before." Salvatore concluded.
"Just like before."
He did not believe it. There was no way things would come back to normal without him having to squash and discard off the enemy. Something big was going on and this was definitely just silence before the storm.
"Keep looking, Michelle. I don’t like the silence. That man is definitely planning something out there and we are not aware of it. Send in a network of spies and keep an eye on everyone."
He nodded. "what about the cell phone we found?"
"Leave it."
A shake of head was what the don received. "I would like to suggest a clean sweep of the house for security measures. This time it would be led by me."
Salvatore I did not bother to hide the surprise. He not then narrowed his eyes before shaking his head. "We just had one done last week. What need do we have for another?"
"For me, the best time to plant evidence against someone or a fire would be after this sweep. No one would see it coming."
That would be true. After the sleep no one was going to bother with the security for at least a week and it could go for as long as a month. Until then everyone could hear and see what they were doing.
The timeline was way too long and that threatened their safety.
"Alright," he nodded but raised a finger, " keep my wife and daughter out of it. I do not want them to know."
"Understood." Michelle nodded at him and then at dante before turning around and leaving.
"Silent," dante nodded and kept his eyes on the table before he nodded again, "too silent for me."
"True."
"Almost as if he backed off. Lack of availability of information? But he has to have a spy inside the organisation otherwise he would have never had an attack planned in the first place. So what is the spy not telling him?"
Salvatore leaned back on his chair, letting the second in command process the information.
"Perhaps, I think that he is, as you said, planning something big. Something that would rattle us and cause us time to repercate from. And attack on the family? An attack on the house? A targeted attack on one?" His eyes snapped at Salvatore. "Last one it is."
"Last one, how?"
With a knowing look, he answered, "He is a way too silent someone who wants to rattle off a family. He is watching the moves of someone, careful enough to pull in soldiers from every direction and plant them into one. We need to find out which member it is."
"if we find out which memory days, he will have a backup plan ready."
"That, he would." Dante agreed. " which is why we need to recruit and focus on the members. That is what is going to cause a delay." He snapped his fingers as if figuring it out.
"When one of the members of the family die, we will need time to regroup, arrange a funeral, born and grief that would make a stray away from her activities, that would give him an opportunity to strike."
"But is it not against the rule to kill a mourning house?"
Salvatore chuckled and twisted his chair around to look at his brother who was occupying a seat on the sofa set.
"Breaking the rules directly is a crime, what you are doing in the shadows are the concerns of no one. If he attacks, and if he wins, nobody cares except for the fact that there was a new family."
"And if he loses," Dante added, "nothing but a win for our house."
"So family members?" Marcello repeated, "but which one? Each one of them is protected well and is in the country. It would be almost impossible to keep an eye on someone in particular without being caught."
"He will cause a distraction then." Dante concluded. "The man has it planned. The moment he says go, a series of action will happen."
Salvatore nodded. "Alright then." He stood up and straightened his jacket. "send the word out to everyone, it’s time for a family reunion."
