Rain splattered around his body, draining him completely, but he paid not much attention as he turned to look at Jason, whose eyes were still wide open slowly he stretched out two of his fingers as he closed his eyes.

Maybe the hundreds of souls that you have brought to ruin, finally rest in peace….” Zeras prayed, eyes staring at the sky which slowly cleared up and from it, the golden rays of light pierced forth, illuminating his eyes which slowly returned to their normal blue color.

“I have forgiven you…” Zeras mused as his hands rested on Jason’s forehead and in the next second, he faded away into dust which dispersed into the air.
And after that, tears dripped down Zera’s eyes. Tears that never seemed to stop, draining down his jaws. Tears of joy. After he had forgiven Jason, did he feel that freedom? A type of freedom that filled his heart, one which he had never felt before.

Only now did Zeras realize the most beautiful thing about Forgiveness. He had hated Jason, but in essence, he had also been imprisoned by this hate. And now that he had forgiven him, he had unlocked the gate of the prison and exited.
And only now could he finally see, could he finally feel the life that he had locked himself against.
