Following another brilliant flash of light, I found myself on the 20th floor...
like the floors before it, the air was musky, the earth damp, the chittering of insects and birds flooding the surroundings...
I didn’t launch a nuclear punch right away, I was curious what monster was going to be spawned this time around..
It was obviously going to be a lizardman, but I wanted to see what twists the tower came up with this time...

I didn’t have to wait long as the creature appeared...
"What the fuck is that???" I couldn’t help the curse that ripped out of me..
The thing that appeared before me was a massive snakelike creature, it’s scaly body over 30 meters long, four massive limbs held the lumbering creature steady, it’s claws making squelching noises as it trudged through the muddy ground, toxic saliva dripping from its three scaly heads, two serpentine heads with the middle one being that of a red-scaled lizard...
"What the fuck is this thing??" I couldn’t help asking again..

"Lizardman your mother!!!" What the fuck about this thing looked like a freaking lizardman?
Did this tower think I was stupid? It ran out of ideas then decided to spawn a new creature, slap a lizard head unto it and call it a lizardman?

Outside the solarium spire..
"That’s not a lizardman..."
"What the hell is that?.."
"Is that a freaking hydra? What’s an A-rank monster doing in a floor meant for D-ranks.."
The crowd was confused..
The whole rule of the tower trials was a steady climb, where one faced creatures progressively more powerful than they were..
So seeing a hydra, a creature at the A-rank tier at the very least, spawning within a region meant for D-rank monsters sent them into confusion..
"Heh.. seems even the tower is scared of Dante’s magnificence, trying to stifle his growth, as expected of my idol" a young man within the audience spoke up, pride coloring his features...
"Indeed, he’s too exceptional, all these creatures have become too easy.."
"Yea, let’s see what he does now.."
Slowly, the crowd got over the ridiculousness of the situation and started getting excited instead, waiting to see just how Dante would pull of a victory here..

The lumbering giant hissed the moment it arrived within 10 meters of me, a thick ball of toxic saliva spitting towards me with blistering speed..
At least to the untrained eye, to me? It felt like the creature hadn’t even moved yet..
"Sigh... making them bigger doesn’t mean better, you dumb tower..."I smirked.
There was something about the fact that even a construct as ancient as the tower of ascension, was having trouble adjusting to the sheer absurdity of my abilities, that sent a thrum of joy within me...
After all, I’d just blitzed 20 floors of a test that was supposed to span the length of a full 24 hours in under 30 minutes...
Sure there were other SS-rank and SSS-rank bloodlines and talent wirelders taking these tests as well, but unlike others who’d need a few moments to catch their breaths, refill their energy tank, or just rest.
I needed none of that, I had so many regenerative abilities than getting tire would take a phenomenal difficult effort, my energy didn’t budge unless I used things like <Chaotix Denial> or <Abyssal Firmament Dominion> or <Storm’s Descent>, you know, the energy vampires...
My set of skills and abilities made me the perfect motion machine for this test, so my results weren’t that surprising, not to me..

The creature’s furious hissing brought me out of my musings..
It seems it’s attack had finally landed on the empty air I left for it, and now it was fuming...
It turned, a massive claw more than 3 times my size swing at me with all the fury and menace it could muster...
"Heh... I’m already done with you, let’s see what the next floors offer"saying that, I released the punch I’d been holding all this while..
BOOOOOMMMMM!!!
The entire floor shook as a cataclysmic shockwave blasted outwards..
The result? As if you need to ask.. the creature was instantly sent to kingdom come, the entire floor following soon after..
I was really starting to enjoy blowing up dungeon floors..

There wasn’t even a "cleared" notification this time around, the system was tired of me already...

The roaring of flames blasted through the marbled pillars of the makeshift throne room threatening to turn the massive red skinned monstrosity into barbecue...
The monster roared, a crimson light bathing it’s form as it grew to a towering 10 feet tall, the obsidian shield it wielded glowing with a menacing hue as it placed it right at the path of the attack..
Booooom!!!!!!
The collision was loud, the entire throne room shook violently, threatening to collapse..
The assailant didn’t relent, a condensed beam of blue-gold flames gathering that the tip of his finger....
Wooosh!!!!!
The beam tore through the air, piercing clean through the skull of the fumbling creature, its crimson eyes dimming as its massive corpse collapsed with a heavy thud!!!..

{Floor cleared}

"Finally" Thaddeus, the black haired youth, breathed deeply as he settled his racing pulse..
He’d expected the floor boss to be strong, but not like this..
The monster was stronger than he’d anticipated..
A mutated boss grade hobgoblin king with a major mutation to boot...
Considering the fact that he had to hold back most of his heavy hitting abilities, the creature proved a tough thing to put down...
"To think the tower would be spawning mutated creatures this early into the trials" he muttered quietly, catching his breath..
"Humph, that country bumpkin must be waylaid by now, after all, physical strength can only take you this far", he didn’t believe for one second that Dante could have taken such a thing down, he didn’t have access to the other participants’ trials, so he couldn’t have known that Dante was currently obliterating test floors like brittle walls. so thinking he’d finally caught up, he brought up the leaderboards...
1- Dante Draven- 2,000 points...

"FUCK!!!!!!! He must be cheating.. I refuse to believe this!!"...
His ego took another devastating hit...
"Next!!!" Fowllowing his angry roar, a bright flash of light teleported him away...

Ps: I changed the duration of the tests, 3 days was too long for any test, there’re things we could do with that time
