CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 79 - 87: Who is it?
"Do I look like the kind of person who jokes about divorce?" Jane Sampson asked seriously.
Rock Bell nodded, "I understand your thoughts, and I sympathize with you."
That sentence, he thought Jane could remember for a lifetime, and then tease her about it for a lifetime.
However...
"Don’t think your sister is being harsh, but in any case, I think you can’t really leave him." Rock Bell raised his hand to rub Jane’s head, then said earnestly, "James Black doesn’t show his protection of someone with words, but through his eyes, and his actions."
Jane raised an eyebrow without saying a word, leaning out the window and intently watching the City C nightscape.
Jane had been to City C before, prior to her marriage, she had been twice to attend international piano competitions. The first time, she was barely ten years old, that time she not only competed but also visited many fun places in City C.
Mother Sampson accompanied her to the competition, playing with her for two days.
Later, at seventeen, that time, she came alone to the competition, stood alone on the international awards podium, holding the unique first prize trophy and certificate.
When that award was given, several domestic TV stations broadcasted it, but when she got home then, nobody remembered to congratulate her.
To her, City C was like an old friend not seen for a long time.
Very familiar, yet very strange.
Welton is a five-star chain hotel, one of the businesses under Black Clan, present in many first-tier cities domestically.
The rooms were booked in advance by Rock Bell, two king-size bed rooms. Taking the luggage, Rock Bell had some socializing to do. After telling Jane Sampson to fend for herself after 10,000 points, he left his room hurriedly and departed from the hotel.
Once inside the room, the lazy Jane Sampson took a look at the menu for a few minutes but didn’t see a dish that stimulated her appetite. Instead, she turned around, saw the instant noodles on the cabinet by the doorway, her eyes lit up, and she tossed the menu back on the table to eagerly run barefoot to boil water and prepare the instant noodles.
While waiting for the instant noodles, Jane played a game on her mobile phone. Seeing that Peter Gingery was already online, she pulled him out in the game friend list and asked, "How many days are you staying in City C?"
Peter’s response was quick, a brief sentence—uncertain.
Jane pouted her lips, just about to ask again when the doorbell rang.
From a distance, she shouted, "Who is it?"
She thought it was Rock Bell returning, at this time it was not too late. She asked, although she had not yet received an answer from outside, Jane still opened the door.
When she opened the door and saw who was standing at the doorway, Jane instantly wished she could chop off her own hands.
James Black, with a backpack on his back and a bag in his hand, glanced at Jane, then strode directly into the room.
Passing by the table, he swept the still uncooked instant noodles into the trash can with a flick of his hand, then placed his backpack on the sofa.
"Aren’t you coming over?" James Black called out to the person standing dumbfounded at the door, "Go take a bath."
Jane looked at the fragrant instant noodles in the trash can, said nothing, gave an "Oh," took her pajamas, and went into the bathroom. It was only when the hot water poured over her that she scratched her head, realizing belatedly—why had James suddenly come over?
And why, when he urged her to take a bath, did she obediently come in to bathe? Would it be incredibly stupid of her to run out now and loudly retort, "I’ll bathe if I want to, it’s none of your business"?
