CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 425 - 433: Many Exhortations
She didn’t know when she had fallen asleep again in her old spot, but her arms were stretched straight out, lying in his place.
Her current sleeping position looked much more relaxed than before; she no longer resembled a perpetual hedgehog, forever coiled up in her own little area.
James Black bent down and kissed her on the face before turning and leaving home.
The thought that this departure would mean not seeing her again for a whole month made James Black have an almost irresistible urge to carry her off to the guard team’s base to hide her away.
He especially wished that Jane Sampson wouldn’t be an actress and would just follow his team instead, letting him see her every day—a thought that suddenly emerged.
But, James Black’s rationality was still intact; he knew that was just wishful thinking.
Back when Jane had to pretend to be gentle, she hadn’t even considered shadowing his team at the guard base, let alone now, with her free-spirited personality that made him feel like he couldn’t quite grasp her, there was even less possibility she would agree to it.
Woken by the alarm clock, Jane Sampson was still groggy. Holding her mobile phone, she rubbed her eyes, checked the time, thought for a moment, and then stayed in bed for another two minutes before getting up again.
Upon entering the living room, the several sticky notes on the tea table were quite conspicuous.
She recognized the scrawl immediately—it was James Black’s handwriting.
——Remember to grab something to fill your belly at the airport, or buy some breakfast halfway there.
——Send me a text message when you get to the airport. After you get off the plane, remember to give me a call to let me know you’re safe.
——Call me when you have time.
——Remember, you have a one-month deadline.
——You must tell me when you go to Springtown.
Each sticky note carried a sentence, making Jane Sampson’s temples throb.
So annoying, so annoying!
Why did he have so many endless instructions?
What’s with this one month, reminding me again and again—doesn’t James Black get tired of it?
After reading all the notes, Jane Sampson gathered them up into a pile, but she didn’t throw them into the trash can. At 8:30 in the morning, Jane Sampson met Shirley Young downstairs, right on time.
Shirley’s car was rather low-key, probably to avoid being traced. When Jane Sampson left the house, she also put on a mask and glasses, fearing she might be recognized by accident. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Though she wasn’t famous enough to have fans who could recognize her in a blink of an eye.
As the car reached the community entrance, Jane peeked through the car window at a storefront selling buns and turned to Shirley Young, "Senior Young, since I’m hitching a ride with you, how about I treat you to breakfast? That store makes delicious vegetable buns, and the peanut soup is really good too."
"Sure, I haven’t had a chance to eat breakfast this morning anyway," Shirley Young agreed cheerfully.
Off-camera, he was just a normal father and man, with every word spoken in an especially gentle tone.
The shop was closer to Jane Sampson’s side. It would be a detour for Shirley to get there by car, so Jane told him to park on the roadside, and she ran over herself to get two cups of peanut soup and portions of vegetable buns for both of them.
"Senior Young, it’s all packed," Jane Sampson said. She had run there and back. After buying breakfast, Shirley Young started the car again and drove on.
However, neither of them knew that behind them was a long camera lens, furiously snapping away, crazily capturing every scene of Jane Sampson leaving the residential community and voluntarily getting out of the car to buy breakfast for two.
