Chapter 422: Chapter 430: Let’s Go Together

Jane Sampson’s nap could be said to have been quite comfortable, of course, if when she woke up, someone’s hand had not been stroking her as if petting the head of the Great General’s dog, she would almost certainly be happier.

Upon waking, the first thing Jane Sampson did was reach for her mobile phone, and seeing a message from Bright Sampson in WhatsAPP asking her if she made him spicy beef today, all Jane could think of was the word "Heh" twice in her heart.

Somebody had already planned yesterday not to leave her the energy to make such food, her entire strength had been squeezed dry overnight by that turtle egg, James Black, so make spicy beef? As if.

"Feeling better?" James asked as he saw Jane Sampson biting her teeth while playing with her phone, probably posting something about him on Moments again.

He had intended to ask her what she wanted for dinner, but thinking of her reply at noon, he had the words at the tip of his tongue, and quickly swallowed them back.

He couldn’t ask, asking would only invite her to take an inch and want a mile.

So James got up and left the bedroom to head to the kitchen to personally cook some noodles.

Jane Sampson waited for James to leave before sitting up in the bed, she stepped down to the ground and glanced over at the bedroom entrance. Seeing James in the kitchen, she pouted and went back to the bed.

She was just about to start a game when suddenly a phone call came in, and Jane Sampson looked at the phone number and paused.

It was from Senior Shirley Young.

Jane Sampson quickly picked up the call, cleared her throat, trying to make herself sound not so lazy.

"Senior Young!" Jane greeted the other party cheerfully as soon as she answered.

"Are you free at this time? Have you eaten dinner?" Shirley Young asked. In the background, the phone line also picked up the voice of a little lass trying to snatch the phone from dad to talk to Sister Jane.

Shirley Young soothed his daughter with a promise to call her back later, and the little girl on the other end finally quieted down.

Listening to the father and daughter interaction over the phone, Jane’s eyes curved into delighted crescents.

Having just awoken from her nap at this hour, Jane Sampson obviously hadn’t eaten dinner yet, but she couldn’t possibly let Senior Young know of such a disheveled lifestyle, so she lied without blinking an eye, "I’ve eaten early, just lounging around now."

"I just found out from the film crew that you and I are on the same Flight tomorrow morning, so I thought I’d give you a call. Will your husband be taking you to the airport tomorrow morning? If he’s unavailable, you can ride with me to the airport, I’ll be driving there and temporarily parking the car." Shirley laughed, "Also thought it would be good to keep each other company on the same flight on the way there."

"He has to return to the guard team early, definitely can’t take me to the airport, so I’ll mooch a ride with Senior Young!" Jane Sampson quickly agreed, inadvertently blurting out her inner thoughts, "Didn’t expect my luck to be this good, thank you, Senior Young!"

"No need for thanks, aside from becoming colleagues in a film crew later, we’re also neighbors in the same community, so I’ll see you tomorrow morning." Shirley Young didn’t stay on the call for much longer with Jane, as the little lass next to him was eagerly waiting. He spoke briefly to Jane Sampson before handing the phone over to his daughter.

For the next ten plus minutes, Jane Sampson, a married woman, was engaged in a surprisingly long, enjoyable, and insatiable phone conversation with a young girl.
