CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 419 - 427: Smells Appetizing for the Meal
Looking at that one sentence, James Black couldn’t help but scoff.
Don’t have the guts to scold me to my face, but quite brave in scolding on Moments.
Is this because she got scared after I corrected her last night?
But then again, it seems she hasn’t completely backed down.
After waiting for two or three minutes without a reply or any reaction from James, Jane lost her patience. She turned over to face him, snatched his mobile phone, and used it to ’like’ her own post on Moments.
Still not feeling content, she replied with another comment.
Well said. — Jane Sampson’s Mr. Black.
It wasn’t until she returned to her own phone and saw these two new notifications that Jane felt a little bit of satisfaction.
Only, Jane thought, she felt relieved a bit too soon.
When the takeaway arrived, James didn’t say a word before lifting her out of the room and settling her in a chair. Only then did he go to get the takeaway. When she saw him holding a private restaurant’s bag in one hand and M’s take-out bag in the other, Jane couldn’t help but exclaim.
She asked, "You ordered from a private restaurant for yourself?"
Knowing that James didn’t like fast food fried food from M’s, like the one she did, she was led to that beautiful misunderstanding.
Even though James didn’t answer her question, just giving her a profound look, Jane still didn’t realize that she might have misunderstood something about James again.
Until...
"The spicy wings and stuff were not ordered for you to eat, but to smell. Take a whiff, and if it stimulates your appetite, you can have your meal."
James opened up M’s bag completely but placed it in a corner far from Jane, then started setting the meals from the other private restaurant in front of them.
"James Black."
Jane called out someone’s name in a very serious and formal tone, and then said coolly, "I think, perhaps it would be better if I took a break and got a divorce to cool down."
As James was setting up the bowl and chopsticks, his movement paused slightly, and he shot a rather sharp look at Jane.
"Eat," James handed her the chopsticks, not too roughly but not gently either, and said forcefully, "Fried food is heaty. You’re entering the film set tomorrow, what if you get pimples and complicate the makeup artist’s work? What if it upsets your stomach? Are you going to call in sick on your first day with the crew?"
After the lecture, James picked up some green vegetables with his chopsticks and offered them to Jane, "Although I have told you many times, I don’t mind repeating it once more, Jane Sampson, I do not agree to a divorce, so there’s no need to mention it again in the future."
He paused, then added, "Don’t even think about it."
"..." Jane pouted while holding her chopsticks.
Just accept it.
In daddy Black’s eyes, she would always be that little girl who needed medicine at every turn!
After finishing the food, Jane strolled around the living room to stretch her limbs. James was the one who cleaned up the midday meal all by himself yet again. It wasn’t that she didn’t offer to help, but ever since she talked about getting a divorce, he had been ignoring her with a cold demeanor.
This seems to be a sore subject that’s not even allowed to be brought up in front of him~
While James was cleaning up in the kitchen, Jane hugged her mobile phone and took a few longing photos of M’s takeaway, then posted them on Moments.
Someone asked me what I wanted for lunch, and I said spicy wings.
Then he ordered M’s takeaway and placed it far from me, telling me to smell it to aid my eating.
And he even forbids me from filing for a divorce to take a breather!
So irritating!
