CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 334 - 342: No Kissing Allowed
After sorting out her thoughts, Jane Sampson felt relieved. Sometimes, it’s okay to act first and report later.
"Then you’re waiting for me until two o’clock," Jane felt it was necessary to negotiate some favorable terms for herself.
James Black gently parted his lips and uttered two words.
"One o’clock."
As soon as he finished speaking, he pressed his lips to the ones that had preoccupied his mind for quite some time.
Jane was kissed unexpectedly and froze on the spot.
One o’clock?
What kiss at one o’clock?
No kissing allowed!
Jane reached out to push James away, but he released her on his own. While Jane thought James had changed his ways today, it turned out he was merely discontent with their position just now, even remarking, "So short."
Then suddenly, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto his lap, pressing her body into his arms before kissing her again.
Unlike the brief touch before, this time, James kissed her with overwhelming intensity. His hand, which had been resting on her waist, slipped under her jacket, his broad palm pressing against her skin without any barriers.
His palm was somewhat hot.
The kiss was so long it felt like it could last forever.
When it ended, James even pressed another kiss to the corner of her mouth.
Jane slumped in James Black’s arms, burying her face in his chest, listening to the strong and steady beat of his heart, thumping in sync with hers.
Jane’s entire face felt hot as one of his hands gently caressed the top of her head while the other remained on her waist, fingertips softly grazing her skin.
His hand, accustomed to holding a gun, had thick calluses. With a slight movement, he tickled her waist.
Jane was ticklish and couldn’t help shifting to escape the tingling sensation.
However, as soon as she moved, James pressed his hand down. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Don’t move."
His voice, laced with a hint of restraint, flowed down from above her head, and Jane truly didn’t dare to move.
"Did the doctor say when your hand will be better?" James suddenly asked.
"One week," Jane’s voice was low, and as she spoke, one could hear her quietly catching her breath, "The doctor asked me to come back in a week for a reexamination."
"Hmm," James hummed in acknowledgment, repeating, "One week."
But Jane didn’t know what he was actually thinking.
Damn that one week.
Jane lingered in James Black’s arms for a while until her racing, pounding heart finally calmed down. She waved her hand in front of James’s eyes and called his name.
"Hmm?" James finally let go of her waist, but then he held onto her hand.
Jane freed two fingers from his palm, flashed a coaxing smile, and said, "Two o’clock?"
James pressed back one finger, leaving one. His answer was obvious; he had no intention of changing it.
"I hate you," Jane withdrew her hand, pushed James away, and twisted back onto the sofa. She puffed out her cheeks, then glanced at the lollipop that James had taken from her mouth before kissing her.
It had been in the trash can for quite a while now.
So annoying, that was a whole piece of candy wasted.
Jane glared at James, and his gaze shifted from the trash can back to her. He said, "Next time we go to the supermarket, I’ll make it up to you."
"Two packs," Jane responded quickly.
James tapped her forehead with his finger, not saying yes, but not saying no either.
