Chapter 325: Chapter 333: A Countermeasure is in Place

"Jog steadily and keep your breath even. Don’t hop around looking everywhere," James Black said with a hint of a headache as he watched Jane Sampson, who wouldn’t behave for one second.

Probably because she hadn’t exercised this early before, she found everything she passed curious and even wanted to play with other people’s dogs along the way.

In short, she had no interest in jogging, and before long, she fell behind him.

"I’m so tired." Jane Sampson stood still with her hands on her hips. "I don’t want to run anymore."

James Black couldn’t help but laugh. "We’ve just come downstairs. Are you sure you’ve even run a hundred steps?"

Subjected to ruthless mockery, Jane Sampson glared at James Black, and when he came over, grabbing her shoulders, she reluctantly continued to run with him.

Right now, Jane Sampson’s heart was filled with nothing but regret, tens of thousands of them. She shouldn’t have taken James Black to Sister Tin’s office yesterday, and she certainly shouldn’t have answered so rashly in front of him.

When Sister Tin suggested that she should exercise well during this period, Jane should have just smiled, but no, her mouth had to blurt out an agreement.

What’s so good about it?

The good outcome is being dragged by James Black, this lunatic, out of a cozy quilt for an early morning run.

James Black has a habit of running every day; hence even his slow runs are much quicker than Jane Sampson. Adding her dawdling into the mix, it didn’t take long before he was a bit ahead of her.

Seeing James Black turn his head to look at her, Jane Sampson waved her hands, "You run too fast. I can’t keep up. Just leave me be. You do your run, I’ll jog at my own pace."

James Black glanced at Jane Sampson and hummed in agreement with a shrug, before indeed continuing ahead.

Watching James Black get further away, Jane Sampson had countless little villains in her heart chuckling with glee.

One, two, cheer on! Go, Chief Black!

Once she confirmed that James Black wasn’t looking back, Jane Sampson started to slow down, deciding to walk instead.

How relaxing was walking? Plus, she could play with the dogs she passed. How fun, right?

Jane Sampson had originally planned to walk the whole way, pretending to run again only after James Black had finished, but after walking for a short while, she stood there and started to mutter to herself.

Why should she waste her time on this silly thing called a stroll in the residential community on such a lovely early morning?

Since James Black hadn’t noticed her, why not sneak back home?

By the time he realized, maybe he would have finished his run. Then, what could he do to her?

The more Jane Sampson thought about it, the more feasible the plan of sneaking away seemed. After looking around and making sure James Black was nowhere in sight, she took off running towards home, sprinting past people who turned to give her an extra glance.

Some were probably thinking to themselves just how fierce the girl was, running so fast early in the morning.

Jane Sampson would run for a while and then look back to see if James Black was catching up. When she got to the base of the building, she stood there with her hands on her waist, quite pleased with herself.

"Hmph, there’s a policy above, but I have my ways below. Try to compete with me!" Jane Sampson swayed her small head and made her way toward the elevator.

It was still very early at this time, so the elevator arrived quickly. However, as Jane Sampson looked at the now-opened elevator doors, she suddenly realized a serious problem.

Damn! She hadn’t brought her key.

Without the key, she couldn’t get back into her home.

As Jane Sampson watched the elevator doors close again, she found herself caught in another dilemma.
