After the show was broadcast, you were bad-mouthed by their fans, and your agent even went out of their way to see Sophie and William’s agents. They originally wanted them to say a few good words for you, but Sophie’s agents said it was the fans’ freedom of speech, and your agent felt they were unwilling to help, so they retaliated against them."

After hearing this, Jane couldn’t help but laugh in irritation, then retorted, "Do you have any evidence? Can you prove that their being banned has anything to do with me? We live in a society governed by law, where everything is based on evidence. Have you never read a book? Don’t you understand that?"

Although Jane had always been easy-going, hardly ever quarreling or showing anger, it didn’t mean she was easy to bully, and it certainly didn’t mean that, as a newcomer, she had to put up with these so-called seniors’ insinuations and snide comments.

Alice implied in her words that Jane was cruel, narrow-minded, and selfish, accusing her of ruining the bright futures of two people over a trivial matter.

Jane chuckled softly and said, "You say these things to my face, if I really had such power to get both Sophie Young and William Rivers banned at the same time, aren’t you afraid that after I leave this door, tomorrow it could be you getting banned?"

Alice was taken aback and immediately realized her words were somewhat inappropriate for the occasion.

But in truth, she was just trying to help her friend probe Jane, to see if she could get some answers regarding Sophie’s and William’s ban, and whether it had anything to do with Jane.

However, Alice was genuinely surprised. In this circle, seniority is highly regarded; even though she was only the female supporting role in this drama, she still considered herself a senior to Jane. Yet, Jane had the audacity to slight her so directly in front of so many people?
