"Sister Bell." Ratty ran over, and seeing Grid barely able to stand with someone supporting him, covered in dust and his foot dripping blood, clearly not lightly injured, he frowned.
"What’s going on over there?" Grid didn’t bother explaining much to Ratty and immediately asked about his situation, "What’s the matter with the cries for help over there?"
"There’s no cries for help; it was just a mobile phone left there playing a recording, a deliberate distraction to lure me away. I picked up the phone, then saw what looked like a shadow and chased after it, leading me to a special garage, and then I got locked inside." Ratty was fuming, wanting to curse, his hands marked with injuries from pounding the walls and doors.
James Carter’s assistant was even more helpless, "I got knocked from behind, then dragged into a corner. Just now someone found me and woke me up; my brain’s still fuzzy."
Rock Bell, Coco Edwards, and others noticed that the blood on the back of James Carter’s assistant’s head was evident and noticeably swollen.
"How is Brother Carter?" As soon as James Carter’s assistant saw James Carter lying on the ground, he hurriedly ran over, reaching out to check James Carter’s physical condition. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"He should be fine, just fainted from being drugged." Coco Edwards explained quietly.
"Right, General Manager, we found this signal jammer over there." A security guard next to them handed over an inconspicuous black item for everyone to see, "It’s high-tech, with strong interference intensity and a wide range."
"No wonder my mobile phone has been without a signal!" Ratty cursed, "I thought it was because the garage location was too remote."
"Is everyone alright?" James Carter’s assistant relaxed a lot after hearing that James Carter was fine, looking around again, and said worriedly, "We should all go to the hospital immediately, Grid’s foot injury is serious, and Brother Carter needs to be checked out too, or I won’t be at ease."
"Didn’t you notice someone was missing?" The director spread his hands helplessly, "Jane Sampson has been kidnapped."
James Carter’s assistant froze in place, only then realizing that Jane Sampson really was missing.
At first, he thought Jane Sampson had been escorted to a safe place and hadn’t thought about the possibility of her being kidnapped.
"I’ll contact President Black immediately." Grid picked up the phone, which finally had a signal, and said.
"I’ll contact Minister Carter immediately!" James Carter’s assistant also hurriedly called Father Carter, aware of the relationship between Jane Sampson and James Carter.
After all, she’s Minister Carter’s heiress!
"By the way, what about that hotel staff member who was with you?" Coco Edwards suddenly remembered another person, turning to ask Ratty.
"After we picked up the phone, we saw a shadow and chased it together. Later, we split to flank, one left and one right, and then I didn’t see him." Ratty shook his head, "You still haven’t found him?"
The hotel’s General Manager turned to the security team, "Quickly, search every corner!"
The General Manager was thinking, most likely he was knocked out and stuffed in some corner.
The hotel’s parking lot at basement level 1 is quite large, plus there are two open-air parking lots, and therefore, the parking lot at basement Level 2 is not open to customers.
Parked here are hotel internal staff’s cars or the hotel’s official vehicles, which means that, usually, basement Level 2 is not frequented by people. Structurally, basement Level 2 is also designed differently from basement Level 1, primarily for the hotel’s convenience.
